These were the best tacos I've had in a long time! I had asada and carnitas the way they were meant to be. The service was efficient and friendly. My wife had the caldo de pollo which was also very tasty and a generously proportioned. We are visiting from California but definitely plan to return when we can.. This restaurant seems to be a popular spot in town! Although they were very busy, I was able to get a table immediately. I ordered a tamale to start. It was different than any other tamale I have had. It was served with queso and shredded cheese on top, the tamale itself was good, but I'd prefer it without the toppings next time. For my main dish, I got the whole fried fish, it was fried to perfection. The skin was crispy and delicious. The fish was tender and flavorful. The rice and beans were great and the salad that came with the fish was fresh and delicious! I do wish the server would've checked on me sooner after getting my food, but I was able to flag him down and get what I needed to accompany my meal. Chips and sauce on as soon as they took our drink order. I ordered 3 tacos with rice and beans. Pork, carne asada and chicken. It's hard to say which was best. The tortilla was a tiny bit oily, but the flavor was so good, who cares! My husband got chicken enchiladas with cheese sauce. He loved it. This is a late review ! I'm from Arizona, was in the Ardmore area to visit family. We wanted Mexican food, however I will say that I was a little hesitant to try Mexican food in Oklahoma. The moment we entered and were seated, I knew I was in the right place ! We asked for our favorite beer, which is sort of hard to find. We were pleasantly surprised to find they served it. What really blew me away was the presentation of the beer in a iced goblet, with light salt on the brim, which also had lime rind/ pulp all around it. I've NEVER HAD A MORE REFRESHING BEER ! Okay, I love me some Mexican food. But this restaurant in Ardmore, Oklahoma, is the best Mexican food I've ever had--and I've eaten Mexican food in Texas, OK, MO, NM, CO, CA, Mexico...this is amazing. I had incredible flavor in the green sauce I asked for on my cheese enchiladas. I just kept saying wow. We went back another day and my friend is allergic to onions so we requested the lunch fajita nachos to share and this was an incredible blend of cheesy goodness, beans, chicken, salsa and guacamole and sour cream on the side. Food was best Mexican I've had in Ardmore and one of top 3 I've eaten at in oklahoma. Staff was on top of things, portions were great, and reasonably priced. They got the salsa taste and the queso we ordered done right. The building seems to have an older mexican building look done on purpose. Cruising down I-35 and the family was getting hungry... we had zero clue what to expect when we went into Ardmore.. well we have now found our new place to stop when we are heading south... the staff was super super friendly. They offered suggestions to their favorites, and they were amazing.. I regret not taking pics.. I had some carne asada dish. It was pretty spicy, but simply amazing.. everyone loves their food.
