I would like to give this restaurant 4 stars because the food was really good, unfortunately, the service was very poor. The whole meal took such a long time as the waiter apparently sat down and ate his lunch during our meal. I could see him taking his time and chatting with a coworker while we waited to order. Then again at the end of the meal when we asked for our check and a to go container, he disappeared for ten minutes until I got up and asked another server to bring our check. The decor is colorful and fun, and it is a large space that would be great for big groups. And the fajitas were excellent in my opinion, and the serving size was huge. I do not enjoy having to pay for tortillas and queso, but we may be spoiled by our local Tex Mex restaurants. The queso was very good though, and definitely worth ordering. We may or may not be back to give them another try. read more

Nasty food and poor customer service. I want to love this restaurant so bad but every time we go they mess things up. If you're into soggy tacos, food swimming in the waters the meat is cooked in, then this place is for you!! Don't even think about having them take off the disgusting food they ruined because it won't happen. Instead they will happily make you another round of food floating in waters off of the meats. This place is beyond 5 stars!!! OMG... the food, the portions were out of this world. Finally, a place that makes authentic mexican food!! Our waitress was Tori and she is great! The salsa is totally bland. I asked for real Mexican salsa. Poorly made watery sauce. I expected better from a Mexican restaurant. I ordered the rellano taco combo. Surprisingly soooooo good. We've been here a few times already. My son calls this CoCo's restaurant because of how cute it's decorated. Kids menu is great. One son gets the quesadilla and the other the corn dog. Fries are fantastic. Horchata horchata horchata!!!! We adults indulge in the strawberry margaritas, the shrimp ceviche appetizer, and share the taco family meal. We order tripe extra crispy, carnitas, and al pastor. The deserts are not great. Portillo's has become one of my favorite Mexican restaurant in Ada. I have always received great service here and I enjoy the staff they always friendly. Their sloppy beers are amazing, they're a must whenever I go. I like that they have a seafood menu one of my favorite dishes is ceviche tostada. My one complaint is they have you pay at the counter instead of at the table. Sometimes there is a crowd of people which means you have to stand and wait. I would rather pay my server at the table. read more

Just don't do it!!! I usually do not give 1 star reviews, but come on. I don't even see how this place has stayed open. I visited Potrillos for lunch this week. My party and I arrived around 11:45 to beat "the lunch rush". I had a chimichanga that was just some rubbery stewed beef in a tortilla that was slightly heated up (not fried) side of beans and rice. All i could eat was some of the rice. Left the rest because it was SO bad. The salsa tasted like canned tomatoes with a few jalapeños and onions thrown in, watered down, and blended. Even the chips were bad. Stale and tasteless. Sad! Another person in my group bought lunch and if they offered to buy there again I would pay them to not have to go there!!!! read more

Why are people so picky when it comes to service? I guess they want to be treated like Kings and Queens. This place is new and just getting the kinks worked out give me a break. We wanted Mexican tonight and came up to Portrillos. We were seated promptly and given chips and salsa, it did take a little while to get our drinks although once our server got our orders he was very attentive and great! This is one of my favorite Mexican restaurants in town. The service is always speedy, we have never had to wait for a seat or over 15 minutes for our food. They have a full service bar - their margaritas are delicious! The white queso is just the right consistency and has great flavor. The service is real slow, some friends got through eating before the rest of us got ours. They kept bringing extra and random food to the table. Drinks weren't getting refilled. At the end look over the receipt because the either brought us the wrong bill or just felt like putting extra stuff on the bill. read more
