The location is clean although a few of the washing machines did not smell fresh. I came in mid-afternoon and there were plenty machines available. I found the cost to be a little high but I honestly don't know what the normal cost is, sigh. The employees helped me with the washing machine and I put my money on the wrong dryer and had to move my clothes. When I have heavy items to launder, I would come back. They send out the dry cleaning so there's a week turn-around time but that seems to be the case most places. Employees are very friendly and remember repeat customer names. Mr. Quentin was becoming my favorite tailor. He accomplished a very difficult feat on a higher end shirt I thought was destined for the trash. Prices were reasonable, work was excellent, and he was there 2 times/week and worked efficiently. He hasn't been there the last few weeks so I called today to see if he's back and they said he no longer works there. I'm so sad!!!!

There is a guy here that is probably somebody's grandpa (does he have butterscotch in his pocket?) that was the attendant. He mopped up quickly, he told me it was going to take no less than 30 minutes of drying on low (very true). He was running the place efficiently. It was clean, 90% operable and in a good neighborhood. Although small and they don't take credit cards I will come back if my "Honey Do List" takes me worldwide and back to DC.

There are large to very massive sized dryers as well. Note: The newer, shiny industrial size dryers are hot! I put in a queen sized comforter and it was dry in less than 15 minutes. I would start with 10 minute intervals and add quarters as needed. I almost put in 40 minutes worth of quarters which would have been way too much. The machines operate on coins only, specifically quarters. There is a change machine on hand to break down small bills up to a $20 bill into quarters. They have a laundry service as well. I noticed people dropping off and picking up their laundry. Not too crowded on a Sunday afternoon. Very pleased. In addition, there are more than 6 casual dining places within the same plaza, so you can grab a bite to eat while waiting for clothes to wash and dry.

On 4/11/22, at around 9:30pm, I went to the laundromat in District Heights, Md and washed 4 loads to include clothing, sheets, towels and blankets. Unfortunately, out of the 4 washing machine 52 door would not open. I, informed the 2 hispanic female staff who turned the machine off several times, which was unsuccessful. No other attempts where made. I was told by one of the female staff to leave my name and number. She will not be working tomorrow but she will leave a note for the morning staff. She informed me that her manager will come in at 5am and I said I have to work so I will not be able to come back in the morning but hope that the issue will be resolved tomorrow so I do not have to wash my sheets again. On 4/12/22, beginning at 10am, I called the laundromat 10 times but to no avail. I even left 2 voicemail messages. Since, I have not received a call back by 2pm, I left work early to go there and arrived around 3pm, only to discover my clothing still in the machine and the door still not opening. As I approached, the washing machine, I saw the female staff from the day before and asked why I didn't receive a call with an update and why haven't the machine been worked on and that I called multiple times. Her response was she just arrived to work and there is no phone to receive calls. Then she walked away to get her cell phone and made a call to a male who she was speaking with via FaceTime. The male assisted her with the opening of the machine. So she began removing the screws and stuck a screwdriver in the opening adjacent to the door handle. After several attempts the door finally open. The issue I have is that it was over 12 hours later and none of the staff made an attempt to get my sheets out, and place it dryer. Instead, I had to leave work early and go there because I couldn't reach anyone, and only to discover my clothes were still in the machine. Afterwards, the female staff didn't offer an apology or to rewash my sheets after the inconvenience this caused me. It is very disappointing to know I spent money at a business who doesn't care what happens when the machine lock up on you. I will not be going back to this place and neither will family, friends and colleagues. This is very unfortunate the way the entire situation was handled. I didn't leave work and go there. My sheets still would have been sitting soiled in the machine, which is unacceptable. Not to mention, while there several kids were allowed to run around, which would've been horrible if they got hurt.

There is another location off of 7, but I feel as if that one is very busy and there is usually a wait time for an appliance to become available. This place also serves drop-off laundry services.
