I just dropped in after shopping at the nearby Costco, without an appointment, but that didn't matter! The staff was immediately helpful and provided expert advice regarding what would be best in my kitchen. Not only were the staff at Flooring America fantastic and extremely informative, but the prices were very reasonable and the selection was phenomenal. I have not decided whether I will use hard wood or tile in the kitchen, but I know that once I make the decision, I will purchase it from Flooring America!

I've hired them a couple of times…read more My experience with them is they are better than some of the other stores I've been to, but definitely not the best. In other words, they are average. The store has a lot of choices for good prices, which is good. The location is pretty inconvenient. The people who work there do a decent job, but there is definitely room for improvement in the customer service department. For ex: one of the women who works there was on a personal phone call and was gossiping on the phone while I was standing only a few feet from her-- she was making fun of a mutual "friend" of hers during work hours, while a customer was standing close to her, trying to shop. It was really distracting and annoying listening to her bad mouth a "friend" of hers. If it's her friend, why is she talking about her like this behind her back and especially at work with a customer standing right there? I found this behavior unprofessional, rude, and immature. The guy who works there is nice but was resistant to certain things, like bringing samples out for instance... Then, after installation I called about a small issue and he told me how to fix it myself, but wouldn't send anyone out even though there's supposed to be a warranty on the work. (In other words he (Steve) was a salesman-- told me everything I needed to hear so I'd hire them and then after installation didn't bother holding his end of the deal up even though he'd said they take care of any problems.) The installers did a pretty good job overall and I was satisfied with them. They were on time everyday, were polite and professional, and the floor looks really nice. Overall, they are average-- not great but not terrible. I'll shop here again if I need to but will also keep looking for other flooring stores. Overall, they were average and there's plenty of room for improvement especially the people working in the office/ showroom.

The original company I used came through and made things right- but in the mean time, her willingness to hold an appointment for me just in case spoke a lot about this company. In the future- I would certainly use this company. 4/3/2020: and yet again, these folks are wonderful! Had an unknown flood that appeared to be in the back yard by the AC unit. I called them and they were willing to send someone out as soon as they had an opening. I ended up not needing it as a friend came and figured out it was the irrigation system... but still, it was such a comfort to once again know that they would help!

Today at Noon: Air conditioning failure, 105 degrees outside, 90 degrees inside our home with warm…read moreair blowing. After replacing a pretty clean filter and rinsing out the pretty clean outdoor heat pump without improvement, my suspicion was loss of refrigerant. I liked the great, though few in number reviews on Yelp for P.E.G. Air Conditioning and Heating. We have an all-electric Carrier heating and cooling system installed new in 1998. Called the listed number and Paul answered within a couple rings. I explained the circumstances here at our home and the steps I had already taken trying to remedy the situation. Paul said he could come by later the same afternoon. Paul arrived and started at the heat pump. He observed evidence of leaking oil at the lineset threaded fittings caps, which he backed off, inspected, then put back on and tightened. Paul removed failed plastic threaded caps at the refrigerant charging fittings and replaced these with brass self-sealing caps. He used a soap solution to verify leaks before replacing and tightening caps. Paul's gauges indicated loss of refrigerant which he added to the system. Once fully charged, Paul checked the cigar fuses for the heat pump and found them perhaps overly warm. With power off at the Main Service Panel, Paul removed each of the aluminum wire supplies to the cigar fuses, applied antioxidant paste to the ends of the aluminum wire, reinserted the wires into the terminals, then tightened them. Before heading inside, Paul did a visual inspection all the way around the heat pump to check for leaks. None observed. Once inside our home, Paul checked the heat exchanger and remarked that the 22 year old system looked virtually new. I've kept the filters replaced regularly, and nothing else in all those years, not even vacuuming the coils, which still is not needed. A couple years ago, the tech from another company merely added more refrigerant, did none of the additional work Paul did today, and reinstalled the failed and leaking original caps (the ones Paul replaced with brass self-sealing caps today). That same previous tech described our Carrier system as failed, obsolete, with a designed life of 15 years, and in need of replacement with a completely new system, for which his company would be glad to provide a quote! No thanks, I'm sticking with Paul at P.E.G. Air Conditioning and Heating. Knowledgeable, capable, and thorough, Paul has the traits and qualifications I look for in contractors. You're getting the owner of the company here, folks. This guy even rebuilds his own transmissions. Nice..... Last night: Very little sleep as I marinated in my own sweat on top of the bottom sheet with nothing over me. Tonight: With my home cool again, I'm going to need the top sheet and bedspread. I'm looking forward to a good night of sleep. A very well-deserved 5-star review for this talented professional. Thanks Paul!
