Honestly, I'm extremely disturbed by the way I was treated by the staff here. I went for the very…read morefirst time last night, and I'm not a local. After this experience, I will never be coming back. I ordered the #1, a turkey sandwich, and asked for no tomatoes. The first worker scoffed and told me, "We aren't at toppings yet." I apologized and explained that I had never been there before and couldn't see what they were doing behind the massive counter. When it was actually time for toppings, I took maybe ten seconds to look at the options and decide what I wanted. That seemed to be enough time for the second worker to become visibly irritated with me. I then asked whether the sandwich comes warmed or if I needed to request that, and that's when her attitude completely changed. She refused to answer me, rolled her eyes, and started talking negatively about me to the first worker while I was standing right there. I apologized again and explained that I had never been there before and simply wasn't familiar with their process. I don't think asking how the sandwich is prepared is an unreasonable question, especially as a first-time customer. I also found it very unprofessional that the worker was making food while wearing sunglasses. To make matters worse, when I got to the cashier, the second worker proceeded to call me names over something as simple as asking whether my sandwich came warmed. The food itself was actually pretty good, which makes the experience even more disappointing. I would have gladly returned, but the way I was treated by the staff completely ruined the experience. No customer should be made to feel embarrassed or disrespected simply for being unfamiliar with a restaurant's process.

This is a new Panera bread in Springdale. I went there with my wife and her parents…read more The place is very different than other Panera bread restaurants I've been to. Most of the other ones are dark, stuffy, and uninviting. This one is light and open. However, this mean that the place will not be very private. You can hear a lot of conversations from other tables, even from a few tables away. So I definitely would not try to have any kind of private meeting in this place. This store has more of a coffee shop vibe. As for the food: it's classic sandwich, soup, and salad food. It's good, but won't knock your socks off. Pastries are yummy. I think they're made in-house. Everything seems a bit overpriced, but that may just be the economy we currently live in. So, I won't be able to come back very often because of the prices. But I will come back on occasion. As for the staff: they were very friendly, very helpful, and were accommodating with various needs we had. I also noticed that they were friendly toward other customers as well. I only have one complaint. The place wasn't super clean. The drink bar was pretty messy. Tables needed to be wiped off. And the bathroom entrance (not the bathroom itself) smelled like BO (strong!!). Probably could be fixed with an automatic air freshener. Overall it was a good experience. I will return. And I recommend the place. My one complaint can be fixed fairly easily, and if it is then I will be happy to give them five stars after my next visit.
