The salmon bagel was great, everything is inside of it was delicious, the bagel had one well-toasted half and the other half was hard as a rock. But it still tasted good. Pecan pie was delicious, nice crust, more shortbread-y than butter-y. The ham in the pot masson was pretty good. It was a lot for 500ml for like 6$? It's definitely enough for two. I think the strawberry rhubarb pie was sent raw? Or maybe just not cooked correctly? I popped it in the oven and it cooked on top but still evidently raw on bottom. One of my favourite places to have brunch. They never disappoint. Today had the smoked salmon eggs Benedict and they were delicious! They have a variety of choices for $5.90. Had the Singe Reveille smoothie and for an extra 50 cents was able to have it with almond milk. All in all a great brunch! Can't wait to come back again! read more

I was walking with my girlfriend and we wanted a mocktail. So I found this place through Yelp and I recognize that you can get pretty large cocktail here. The pina colada was tasty but it was very far from the traditional taste of a Pina Colada. The sangria was a bit dull, though. Service was really good and thoghtful. They had an inconvinience and told us that our specific orders would take longer. They gave us the option to change our comands and it was worth it. We had to share the charcuterie plate. It was marvelous, but a bit pricy for what we got. When it comes to ambience the place had an excellent taste of music, some smooth classic rock. Went here 3 times in 48 hours (one at night, two for breakfast). It's beyond compare. under $5 per plate and the plates are huge. And everything we tried as delicious. (the menu changes) Dinner (burger, tuna tartare, bruchetta, baked brie, bacon poutine) Breakfast (ham and cheese crepe, blueberry crepe, ham Benedict, salmon Benedict) As for the drinks, the big drinks are strong (one drink minimum btw) and I would avoid the sweet ones. but the simpler ones are perfect and if you're on vacation, go for the mimosa for breakfast since you can't hear the people around disapproving of you because your french is $#!t. :-) read more

In the actuality of things, this is a 3.5-star review. As you guys can see in the other reviews, the food is not amazingly interesting, but it is tasty enough. The salmon tartare is terrible, and the breakfasts are simple, yet filling. The eggs benedicts are served with french toast instead of the usual English muffin. That said, the drinks are very decently priced, the food is VERY inexpensive, and the staff is amazingly friendly. Plus the greatest thing with this place is they don't judge you if you order a beer for breakfast, how amazing is that? read more

Tasty meals for 5$! This concept is not necessarily new in Montreal but it was well executed here. I had the pasta with smoked salmon and was surprised by how flavorful it was. The portions are smaller but still filling enough. I recommend getting two dishes if you're very hungry. I didn't have a cocktail and I was disappointed to see that my simple lemonade cost 5$... Pot Masson is a restaurant that only has a liquor license with food sales. Often, these type of places cheapen either food or the drinks and raise the price of the latter. Pot Masson offers (decent) cheap food and expensive (not so decent) drinks. I don't mind spending more money if something is high quality but at Pot Masson, although the atmosphere, decor and service was A-one, the quality is just not there. Fun place for a night out with a group, but I would stick to beer. read more

The water doesn't taste good but the Béné and the omelette are both beyond expectation. The overall experience is quite good too! Waitresses treated us well with a big smile and they're also willing to bear with my poor French. We were a group of 6 people. My friends and I ordered SANTÉ, OMELETTE, BRUNCH, and BÉNÉ. They were all satisfied with their meal. The price is not expensive as well, my BÉNÉ cost 7 CAD pretax and I spent 10 CAD in the end, tax and tips included. One of my friend had the BRUNCH - Grilled Cheese (confit de canard, œuf, etc). A little heads-up here: if you ordered the $4.9 menu for midi, then you MUST order a drink rather than settle with water. Tried this place out, took the fried Brie and the Mac and cheese. I enjoyed the Mac it was well balanced with the sharpness and richness of all the cheeses, the brie was okay but nothing to write home about. The star here are the drinks, they have a wide variety of mason jars and get this, when you buy a drink your meal costs you under 5 bucks... Pretty sweet deal :) read more

I went here on a cold,wet dreary Montreal day.The waitress spoke enough English to flow with us. I ordered the $5.90 plates of red pasta,bbq wings and Oreo cheesecake.The wings were lukewarm and reheated.They were good but I would of loved to have them fresh please. Great first experience. We were walking down the street and asked some locals for a place. For small dishes and relaxed atmosphere they recommended this among several others. No menu in English, but super helpful waiter who translated and answered questions. We had small plates, pasta was great for the kid, veggie burrito (burrifou) tasty, poutine great comfort, the salad with peach sweet and yummy. First dinner in Montreal and what a great experience. The food and atmosphere was great! we ordered five dishes off the tapas style menu- mac n cheese, lentil salad, poutine, mussels, and quesadillas. All very good and tasty with the local beer. The vibe is very social, loud, and busy. Our waitress Camile was very sweet and very attentive. She knew we did not speak english and took the time to explain all of the dishes and what she would recommend us ordering, she even recommend things to do while staying in Montreal. Even though they were busy we were seated and attended to. We arrived they told us we could only pay cash, but since the vegan options interested me, we decided to go get cash and come back. When we came back, we ordered, and then the waitress brought me my drink. We waited a bit and then the waitress told me there was no more left of what I had ordered, so I asked what other vegan option they could make she told me she would go ask and then tell me but instead she brought me a plate I never ordered and did not want, it was food I am intolerant to, and I did not even get to tell her I didn't want it she put the plate directly in front of me and said it was the only thing she could do. If I had known, I would've eaten elsewhere... I ate a few bites (it was gross, worst than what I could cook at home) and in the end they made us pay everything even though i hadn't ordered that and didn't eat any of it. We ended up eating a beyond meat at tim hortons... I am really disappointed, I am never going back again and it's sad since it is a 2 mins walk from my place...They lost 2 customers today!
