I rarely post reviews unless the service was amazing or terrible. The service I received at this location is AMAZING. The couple that runs this shop immediately made me feel like family walking in. I have been here before and loved the service I got so decided to use them once more. Mind you, I live 30 minutes away and have locations a block away from my house but the service, the care, the professionalism, and the hospitality is something you can't beat. I will go out of my way to do business with them. The wife is such a kind soul and just instantly made my day better. Even after I got what I needed to be done we continued our conversation and it just felt like two old friends hanging out. The husband is so funny and you can tell he really cares about their business. Just moved to the area and been to many postal Annex. This was by far the worst experience I had! To start the employees were rude. I received Attitude from the start as i had questions on shipping a package. As other customers walked in they also received the rude customer service I was receiving. I recommend asking for the price of service upfront. I made the mistake of not asking and overpaid. They do not honor the advertised discount on their Yelp page. I was also not offered an itemized receipt so I'm not sure how much I over paid for a notary service. read more

I want to give a big shout out to Sam for his incredible customer service. This is my second time renting a U-Haul at this location and it was painless. I did my online reservation and met at the location, it was seem less. He informed me of the after hours rental return and how to drop off the key, he was very clear of the process. Sam personally left his home on a Sunday and went to his store so I can rent this U-Haul. I'm blown away by the customer service, never would have expected that, but I'm very thankful. It made my move that much easier because I was working on very limited time. I have come to this postal annex twice when the said they were open. It's rude when your business hours say what time you're open and I show up and the store is still closed. You said you open at 8:30 and a quarter after 9 you're still closed. Not a way to run a business. read more

The person in charge of this location needs to be reminded what it's like to be professional and have decent customer service. He sent the package to the wrong address. Sometime in December, I had mailed out a priority box to an AP address going to Okinawa. He was very busy that day, I remember the man asked me if he can help other customers first. Even though I patiently waited in line to be helped. He has my address conveniently on his data base alongside prior address. So when he showed me in the computer without printing it out, I told him that's the right address...paid him and left. Weeks and weeks later, my husband came back from the his shop with the package. Sam the owner went way above and beyond by helping me get replacement boat dmv tags (stickers that go on the hull). I'm normally very careful about not losing such things but in a hurry to head out for vacation forgot where I left them so I was stuck unable to tell my friend where to find them at my house. I called this location my wife found online and Sam answered and went right to work. He has access to the dmv registration database so with a copy of my old registration was able to confirm everything and issue replacement tags that day! Saved my bacon. Thank you Sam! Those people are shaddyyyyyyyy. They throw mail on the scale and then just make up a price instead of giving you the weight. They won't let you see it. Who knows how much they charge for stamps, but they definitely get a huge cut on that too. The guy just makes up a price when you mail stuff out and it's an even price with no change? Okay buddy. I called on a Saturday and the owner told me he has been having health issues and thats why he wasn't there to take my payment his wife will do that when I pick up my tags on Monday. Booked with this place to rent a U-Haul. Made an appointment to pick up the truck during business hours and arrived on time, but the store was closed. Picked up truck through self-service, which we were hoping to avoid; found a row of U-Haul trucks with unsecured keys waiting to be stolen. Used truck for agreed-upon time; made appointment to return the truck, but the store was closed (again!). UPDATE: No, "this customer" didn't sign up for a self-service pick-up/drop-off; this customer arrived for a face-to-face appointment during business hours and found your store closed and locked. read more

Does not listen to customers and overcharged for services. This was my first time at this location and I will NEVER go back here again. I recommend skipping this place especially if you need copies because 10 copies cost me $5. It was never 25 copies that is an outright lie. Went to store to drop off pre-labeled box. Asked for a receipt as it was an expensive cell phone. Lady replied computer was not hooked up to printer even though it printed a shipping label for the prior customer. I asked if she could email it. The owner then stepped in and curtly said no receipts and I could go elsewhere. I said your customer relation skills need improving at which point he became quite irate. Probably didn't help when I pointed out his behavior as reflective of my comment. As I left he yells never come back. I go to another store and yes indeed they can print out a receipt as the UPS system utilizes the same printer for both. Bottom line I will go the the more distant store for their friendly service. Hopped in here the other day wanting to ship a USPS Priority Large Flat Rate box, was even willing to pay a couple of extra dollars for the convenience of shipping so close to our home. They wanted, get ready for it, $36.00 dollars (WHAT??) to ship what would have otherwise cost me a mere $19.95 at the post office. I gladly left and found a post office down the road to ship the box. I have come to this place a few of times as I do a lot of ebay selling. The last time I went there with my package I needed some tape, and Sam gave me an attitude, said that usually people buy the tape. Ridiculous. Same thing happened another time that I went there. I work in Rancho Bernardo and the Postal Annex out there is totally helpful, and they never give me an attitude. If I need a couple of pieces of tape, or a little bit of filler to my packages, they do it and do not charge me. Sam could use a lesson in customer service from the Postal Annex in RB. On the other hand, his cousin who works there sometimes is awesome and is extremely helpful, and doesn't nickel and dime you. Needless to say, I wont be going to this postal annex anymore. Do yourself a favor and avoid this place at all costs.I recently signed up for a virtual mailbox through Postscanmail.com that was administered at this location.From day 1 the communication was terrible, they were supposed to receive our mail the send us scans of the outside. We were then supposed to be able to request an open and scan on each piece we wanted. Sam only posted when I called to remind him, gave me the runaround each time and failed to open and scan items selected. After daily calls to Sam pleading with him to do the service I was paying for our final conversation became very heated as he called me a liar,a piece of sh*t,and of hiding out in Mexico.
