They charge $2 to print a shipping label. Let me say that again, $2. What?! Such a rip off. Plenty of other postal annex that don't charge.

Great friendly service. I don't need their services often, but they seem to know regulars well and it has always been a positive experience.

Anytime I need printing, shipping, or anything business related, this is my go to spot. They're…read morefamily owned, and I honestly haven't found this level of customer service anywhere else. They make everything incredibly easy and always go above and beyond. They've been my favorite local business for years, and it's easy to see why. If you need to ship something, print artwork, or take care of any business tasks, skip the post office and stop by here instead. They will give you so many options on shipping costs, and even have a packing table where you can reuse padded envelopes, boxes, sleeves etc... I love how green they are! Walking through their doors reminds me of the good old days when mom and pop shops were everywhere...Where people knew your name, genuinely cared, and took pride in what they did. Great vibes, great people, and truly top notch service every single time. I can't recommend them enough. #keepOBOB

If you ever find yourself in a last-minute shipping crisis (mine involved a pair of skis that…read moredefinitely didn't fit in a standard box), skip the stress and head straight to Ocean Beach Business Center. Chris and Jill, the owners, are absolute rockstars. They swooped in, packed up my skis like pros, and somehow saved me about $30 in shipping costs. That's not just service--that's sorcery. And the cherry on top? They noticed my dog was with me and immediately offered her a bowl of water. Who does that anymore? Answer: genuinely good people. Places like this remind you why small businesses deserve your support--they're efficient, accommodating, and actually care. Chris and Jill were my shipping guardian angels today, and I'll be trusting them with all my future packages. Pro tip: don't waste time fighting with USPS boxes that don't exist. Just come here first.

Mail Station

If you're looking for a business mailbox, I caution you against Mail Station!…read more I signed up for a box with them in January 2024. At the time, customer service was great and I was really happy to be a customer. For a long time, I got my mail and had no issues. (Though I did often have package slips but no package) Then, in February of 2026, I got very sick, resulting in a hospital stay and major surgery. Once I got out of the hospital, I realized my payment to Mail Station hadn't come out of my business account. I called multiple times. No answer, so I left a message with my name and number explaining that I had been in the hospital, but I wanted to bring my account current if possible. I wasn't able to even walk at the time, so I couldn't go in. I never got a response. I assumed I'd changed the card on file and that my account was current, as I never heard anything. That was my mistake. In June 2026, I am finally physically functional again. I go in to check my mailbox and notice the mail inside isn't for me. I approach the counter and say, "I think my mailbox has been reassigned." They confirmed it had. I ask "Why, was I delinquent in payment?" The older man and the young woman behind the counter look me up in the system, but said they didn't know why my box was reassigned. I asked where my mail was. They didn't know that either. They asked if I had been out of town for a bit. I explained I was in the hospital getting surgery and hadn't been able to come in. I explained that'd I'd called Mail Station, and even left a detailed message with no response. They said, "Oh. Wow. Well, we don't know." So: - Mail Station closed my account without any attempt to contact me. No calls, no emails. If payment is the reason for the closure, I would've happily taken care of my account if I'd been contacted. As it stands, no one can confirm why my account was closed. - Mail Station reassigned my box without asking for the key back or changing the lock on the mailbox. This gave me access to another business' mail. That's not cool for the other business owner. I wish I remembered their name so I could let them know. - Mail Station lost, threw away, returned, or otherwise misplaced my mail but couldn't tell me anything about it. - Mail Station didn't attempt to in any way resolve the issue and I barely got an apology. They didn't even ask for the key back--I volunteered it as I never want to do business with them again and it's super unethical for me to have access to another business' mail. If you value your mail, which I assume you do since you're looking to rent a box, Mail Station is NOT your best option.

In the almost 5 years as a customer at Postal Annex, Karl and Katie have provided outstanding…read moreservice to myself and many neighbors in Bankers Hill and beyond. Their Notary is fast, efficient and even travels to you if require. Copying is also fast, efficient and less expensive per page than anybody in the area. Their greeting/birthday/anniversary cards are unique and fun. Check this store out !

Fast and efficient service with a smile. Metered parking. Closed on Sundays…read more I was in the area and needed a key made so I quickly popped in. I've been here a few times and no matter who's at the counter, they're always friendly. In particular, there's a young curly haired associate who's always nice, as well as a gregarious gentlemen, who reminds me of an actor btw, who is always very pleasant. Anyhow, I was in and out for $5 and in less than 5 minutes, and I didn't even have to remove my key from the keychain-sweet! In addition to standard postal services, they have these really cool hand-crafted Quilling Cards. Although they're on the pricier side at ~$9-$10, they really make a lasting impression. You can also get passport photos here for $17+, but as I've recently learned, you can actually use your own phone for passport photos as long as are renewing electronically and you have a non-textured white or off-white background. It took a number of tries to get the sizing right without any background shadows, but it was definitely worth saving $17. I'll have to get the names of the associates so I can give them the proper credit they deserve. Thanks to the crew!
