    Navis Pack & Ship

Zero stars. Do not hire. They do not "pack" anything. They do not know how…read more We hired 3 packers today for six hours, they "finished" in less than 3 hours and we are now left with a horrible mess that the loaders cannot load as packed. Who will fix their terrible "work" before the loaders come to move these boxes? There is no time :( They made more work for us, despite us telling them we are ill and this move is an emergency medical move. THEY REFUSED TO LISTEN TO ME AND WOULD ONLY LISTEN TO MY HUSBAND. I HIRED THEM TOO, I AM PAYING THEM TOO, THIS IS MY STUFF THEY PACKED TODAY TOO. Nope, the "little lady" was told they only know how to work one way. This meant that our plan of my husband being on the main floor to direct and help, and me being on the lower floor to direct and help, was not possible. They do not work with you, they work against you. So I will tell you that their one way of "working" is to sweep everything into huge boxes, they do not PACK. What you will be treated to are things like: Example 1: boxes like a 3-foot tall wardrobe box filled to the top with all bathroom items dumped in together, open pump bottles of lotion mixed with digital electronic items, soap, tweezers, toothbrush, everything from every nook dumped into one 3ft tall wardrobe box. Example 2: in packing your family's camping / outdoor gear, they will literally pack the little green canisters of camping propane in with your gear. They DO NOT HAVE ANY IDEA OF WHAT CAN DESTROY ALL OF YOUR BELONGINGS OR WHAT SHOULD NOT OR CANNOT GO INTO THE SAME BOX, OR WHAT CANNOT BE SHIPPED AT ALL. Example 3: Do not bother buying and showing them the flat screen monitor static sleeve covers and Flat Screen Monitor boxes for that purpose, marked TV and FRAGILE, so that the loaders will load and handle your monitors appropriately -- they will respond with nonsense that for them to pack flat screen monitors in boxes they'd have to take the monitors back to their company. They will not use your expensive packing materials for your monitors, THEY WILL REFUSE. Then they will tape one medium-weight moving blanket around a Flat Screen monitor and say it is optimal packing...even though the loaders and movers and unloaders won't know what it is or that it is fragile, so they will have no way of knowing how to handle the item appropriately. You will end up like us, using time and effort you don't have to untape their so-called "work" to then pack your fragile expensive items in your own specialty boxes yourself, because they refuse to do their job. They told us ahead of time they would use our boxes. THEY WILL DEFINITELY ENCLOSE EVERYTHING IN CARDBOARD, BUT THEY CANNOT PACK. They will refuse any suggestion or direction from their "clients," they will lord over you and make a mess of your things. DO NOT HIRE THIS OUTFIT. It would take new packers at least 5 times longer to undo and redo what they were actually hired to do in the first place. We do not have time, unfortunately. Do not invite this nightmare into your cross-country medical move to save your life (hopefully - fingers crossed). They do not respect clients, they will not respect your things, they will make your need greater by expanding problems rather than helping eliminate them. Their attitude is contrary overall, and they act like they're doing you a favor, make more problems than they solve because they do not pack anything, then they cut out on their "job" early. When hourly workers would rather go fast to attain unpaid free time than work slowly for the six hours you hired the three of them with pay, this tells you how bad this company treats their workers. It starts at the top. Worse than hiring no one.

From…read moremy initial request for an estimate to ship a large framed painting to Dallas, to the email I just received confirming its safe delivery, the fellas I've communicated with have been professional, attentive, helpful, and incredibly patient with the many short-notice changes I requested. They went above and beyond to accommodate my needs and provide outstanding service. I wish I could thank the Portland Navis team in person. Having also acquired Navis' services in Denver with not a single glitch, I highly recommend Navis at any location near you. I trust them implicitly.

Also don't pay overtime until after 48 hours, is this legal ? If they want better service or work to be done in a fast pace and efficient manner they need to treat their employees better and give them the proper hours so they can rest and regain energy to get back to work the next day. 10-12 hour shifts, 6 days a week will have anyone burnt out. Do better Estes. Burnt out employees will never get your company to a 5 star rating company. I am concerned for the safety of those working heavy machinery, while being drained. Also someone wrote in the bathroom stall f*** black lives and no one has ever addressed it. -A concerned family member

I took a closeup photo to show off the detail but Yelp couldn't handle it. they must be broke and out of server space. super helpful folks! if you have print jobs, big or small, give them a call. The thing is as big as a freakin' train but is run by only one dude. Marissa gave us an impromptu tour of the production space on the press check and the warehouse is huge! There was enough space to park a 747 jumbo jet inside. They have been putting a lot of effort into upgrading all the machines to Heidelberg models and they are very proud of them. I can't argue with the quality because the color and layered cover images came out very well. I was most impressed with their willingness and ability to answer our gazillion questions and requests to make sure this project went smooth. From short timeline to shipping to custom gate fold, it went well. Client is happy, we are happy.
