I never receive packages/ mail, altho they say they leave with individual, my parents are always home watching my little man. This post office at Patterson Rd. in Lawrenceville, Ga will have a tracking# showing that a package was not only delivered, but delivered to an individual when in actuality, no package was delivered. (Also confirmed by my door bell camera). A visit to the post office doesn't help either because of the non nonchalant attitude you get from the front desk. The explanation the dude at the desk gave was that the delivery person was slow as in, retarded with no help with retrieving my package from wherever it was dumped. Wow! read more

Our mail carrier from post office 30044 Patterson Road Mark is the ruddest human being I have ever met! We have a Luxor package box that he flatly refuses to use! I order a package from Amazon and yet he will never leave it in the box so my package will arrive late! When you talk to him he snaralls at you and complains about how much he hates his job! I have called and complained multiple times and it never chages anything! The luxor box is simple to use that packages are locked up and you still have to sign for them before the door pops open and there are multiple cameras in the mail room! I HATE this post office.Along with numerous complaints of rudeness, I have to add incompetence. I picked up a FLAT RATE international box and asked the counter person how much to mail it to a specific country. All boxes to one country cost the same. I was told it depends on the weight! I explained that it was flat rate..no go! It was repeated very slowly to me by another employee that the weight is crucial and they have no prices without it! People in line were snickering at the stupidity and the counter folks smiled thinking they meant mine not theirs! I went to Boggs Road post office and was told THE SAME by the employee who is supposed to help you as you come in! I have complained to my local post office countless times about the service we are receiving from our mail carrier by my complaints keep falling on deaf ears or they just don't give a damn! Today I went to get the mail and the was 3 big packages stuffed into a small apartment mail box along with my mail, I received 2 Amazon packages and my order from the pharmacy shoved in to the mailbox so tight my packages tore upon extraction! I have also received my mail soak and wet on days when it is pouring down rain there is an easy solution to this problem put a top on the box when it is taken to and from the truck! I have taken outgoing mail to the mail man so he could mail it only to be told TAKE IT THE POST OFFICE He is a mail carrier after all isn't carrying the mail his job? We have a Luxor One Package box that UPS and FEDEX both use and some mail carriers all but Mark he flatly refuses even though I have requested my packages be delivered there so they will not get tore when he shoves them into the mail box! Today she did not deliver the mail because there was a car parked in front of the house but she had enough space to still drive up to the mail box. I am writing this review by treading lightly because USPS workers are federal employees. I feel like I could get better service in a maximum security prison cafeteria line. The front counter workers pretend to be nice on most days when they are not displaying a poor work attitude. They are way too chatty...I mean, is it really a good time to discuss politics or your new HUD home purchase with a customer when you have 10 more standing in line? They appear so annoyed by customers that I often wonder what the daily water cooler discussion is. Albeit, there is one shining gem in this dismal pile- a counter worker named Ms. E. James (per her name tag) She is always polite and professional. I've never seen her be rude to a customer even when she looks bothered. Her demeanor is very mellow and she focuses on giving you the best service possible. My personal route courier is a special little scorpion with bad makeup to match (I like blueberries and blue suede shoes but not cheap, blue eyeliner that looks like crayon drawings on the face.). Her demeanor is bitter and snobbish...at the same damn time. I have to battle in the coliseum like a gladiator to get my packages delivered - not do to any fault of my own. In a matter of 2 months, I had over 10 packages delivered until suddenly the mail courier says she cannot deliver mail if the exact name does not match - even if the address is correct. Really? It is not rare for more than 1 person to inhabit a residence. It is also not rare for more than 1 resident to have mail delivered to the same, exact address - with DIFFERENT. LAST. NAMES. *pulls hair out* I've had more packages sent back to retailers under this lady than ever in my relationship with the post office. I had to contact the Inspector General. I have had packages 'lost' with non-updated tracking statuses for days and the list goes on...multiple case numbers and phone calls trying to hunt down my packages. *A huge headache* The one star in this review belongs to whoever answers the phone when I call - she exhibits true professionalism and patience. She always answers my questions and goes out of her way to help in a situation. I don't know her name but I appreciate her help more than she realizes. This post office on Patterson Rd has to be the WORST in the world. The employees do not care about customers at all. It feels like they hate customers. And it's not just the employees behind the counter - it's the mail route drivers too. Many of my neighbors say they don't receive mail or packages, or receive mail addressed to a completely different address nowhere close to them. This week I recieved mail addressed to the wrong address so I brought it back to the post office on Patterson Rd and let them know it was delivered to the wrong address. They must have not checked to see if the barcode matched the address printed on the envelope because guess what - a few days later that same envelope showed back up in my mailbox!! smh but expect no less from that post office. read more

Don't ship packages from this post office. Some of the workers are spiteful and incompetent. They will purposefully hold on to packages for days before shipping them out. This issue only happens at this post office! At first I thought it was a mistake but this continued to happen with the same lady on several occasions. I really do enjoy this post office. I always have a good experience when I go. Today the line was a little longer than usual and I was next in line but I guess they needed to take care of someone who had some previous problems with what she was trying to do. One of the worker noticed that all I wanted to do was get two stamps for my letters. She helped me out and provided the stamps free of charge. I know stamps are cheap and it may seem like no big deal but I appreciate small acts of kindness just like the large acts of kindness. So I'm updating my review. Keep up the good work. read more

Reading the previous reviews, this post office hasn't changed in the last couple of years....very disorganized, employees should be trained to do all the jobs, not just one! My wife and I went in to mail a package. That's when we encountered Sheryl. She's older, with dyed blond hair, and a sour scowl. We were returning some sample glasses back to Warby Parker and forgot to tape the box closed. Normally a tiny piece of tape is provided by a friendly, understanding worker. Not Sheryl. Her already sour scowl soured further as if she was sucking two lemons instead of one when she saw our situation. What a mistake we had made. After hearing her advocacy for taping boxes up at home we were then forced to buy our very own overpriced packaging tape. We're we able to just tape up the box then and there and be on our way? Tragic lesson learned and on with our lives? No. She started screaming as we pulled a piece of tape from the brand new roll we just purchased before her eyes. Her screaming sounded a little like " I HAVE TO HELP THE NEXT CUSTOMER GO TO THE BACK OF THE LINE YOU'RE HOLDING ME UP!" Taken aback, we took a few steps back from this wild situation. The box already taped before her screaming was complete we had to walk to the back of the line and wait again. Avoid Sheryl at all cost. I'm just writing this update to inform anyone reading this review that Cheryl is truly a horrible person. I went there to pick up a package that could not be delivered to my home. When I got there I saw Cheryl being her usual rude and condescending self, yelling at customers and being irritated that she dare had to do any work. Unfortunately she was the only one "serving" customers so the line was getting long. There was someone else at the counter but she wasn't doing anything except possibly training another employee but she did not even attempt to acknowledge that we were there. Eventually Cheryl yelled at everyone waiting in line who was just there to pick up packages to go to the last counter on the other side even though no one was there. So a few customers including myself went to stand in line at the unattended terminal. Meanwhile the next customer in line went to Cheryl's terminal wanting to ship a package. Cheryl asked this customer the usual are you shipping any hazardous materials and when the lady didn't quite understand what she was being asked since English wasn't her first language, Cheryl proceeded to yell at her demanding what was in the box, even going so far as to angrily tap on the box while she was talking to her. The poor customer stood there afraid and intimated but I assume eventually she understood and the transaction was completed. During all that time NO ONE came to assist us in our line, but eventually some one came and told us to go back to Cheryl's terminal. The person in front informed him that we were told to come over here but he snapped back at him saying he didn't care and told us to go back to Cheryl's line. So we went back over there to pick up our packages. Of course she didn't enjoy having to help customers and kept her evil scowl the entire time. This post office is truly disorganized and dysfunctional. There are some nice workers there but they seem to be very few. Despite the few good employees, Cheryl ruins it for everyone. I had a package that was "undeliverable" so I called and was told over the phone they could mail it out the following day, or I could pick it up right away.
