I must start off by saying that we absolutely LOVE our new fence…read more We have been in our new home for just a few short years, but we knew early on that our fence would have to be replaced sooner rather than later. My husband and I had researched SEVERAL different companies in our area and surrounding areas before deciding on Fence Solutions. We were fortunate enough to be able to work with Mark and he was quick to respond to any questions we had during the entire process. We decided to go with a sleek black aluminum fence and we are sooooo happy that we did. The yard seems a lot more open and we know that with the harsh Illinois weather, this fence will hold up without a problem for MANY years to come. We are looking forward to spending more time in the backyard and upping our landscaping game now that our big projects are complete. We couldn't be happier!

I purchased a home that had a fence installed by Fence Solutions in 2021. The fence looks great,…read moreand honestly, it was part of what made us decide to buy the house. Now for the problem. We have two gates. One of them is next to the garage, and the post that the gate latches to isn't actually a real post. It's just a hollow vinyl sleeve that's attached at the top to the garage, but it's not secured to the ground. It's basically floating. According to the original receipt, the installation included 5x5 posts set 36 inches into concrete footings. That clearly isn't the case here. I contacted the company and initially got their automated system and left my information. After not hearing back, I called again and spoke to someone who was able to locate the original job and said I'd get a call back within 24 to 48 hours. I did get a call the next day, but the person who called wasn't prepared. I still took the time to explain the issue and even sent photos and a video showing exactly what's going on. Despite that, he immediately started talking about costs without ever seeing the job in person. I made it clear that I wasn't calling about warranty coverage. I understand it's been more than a year. I simply asked for someone to come out, take a look, and provide an estimate in writing, along with an explanation of how the issue would be fixed. When he mentioned that the fix would likely involve installing a proper post, it raised the obvious question, why wasn't that done correctly in the first place? He said he had another meeting in 15 minutes and would follow up after speaking with a colleague. As expected, I haven't heard anything since.

Replaced Fence Post - great job!…read more I needed the fence post replaced that was the support post for the main gate to my cedar fence. I was able to email them photos, they assessed and gave me a quote (which I thought was reasonable), and had the project finished within one week! I'm thrilled at how they took action and did a nice job for a fair price. If you need fence work done, I'd highly recommend giving Action Fence a try.

BE AWARE! Unprofessional Service, Terrible Quality, and…read moreUnauthorized ChargesI strongly advise anyone looking for contracting work to stay far away from this company unless you want to lose your money.I hired this team to install an aluminum fence on a concrete retaining wall. The final result is a complete disaster: Subcontractor Quality: The fence is visibly crooked and completely unlevel. The gates do not line up or close evenly. It genuinely looks like the crew was learning how to install a fence on my project. Lack of Accountability: When I reached out to the office to get this resolved, Sarah from the office was completely unhelpful. Instead of addressing the clear structural issues, she spent her time covering for her crew and refused to fix the problems. To make matters worse, they charged my credit card without my authorization or consent before the project was even properly completed. They essentially took my money and walked away from a botched job.Save yourself the stress, money, and headache. Do not trust them with your property

Last year I contacted every company advertising deck refinishing in all the NW suburban area home…read moreshoppers and mailers. One quoted an outrageous price, two quoted half the figure, and two promised to come out for a quote and never showed up. All had a number of poor reviews of their work on line. I held off getting the work done. This spring I contacted Pro Coat. Dave Marion quoted a fair price for the job, and warned me that he couldn't guarantee the old botched finish could be completely removed. He said his crew would test a small area and only if they could satisfactorily clean it, would they do my entire deck. His men arrived within the time frame Dave had estimated, the test cleaning worked perfectly, and within the day my deck was stripped, brightened and looking like new. A few days later Pro Coat was back and the deck was stained in an afternoon. Great care was taken to cover the side of the house next to the deck so no over-spray could get on the siding or brickwork. The yard was left immaculately clean. Alfredo did a great job of evenly and thoroughly applying the new stain to the inside and outside of the deck, despite the surrounding hedge making it difficult. My deck now looks like new, and the results were far better than I thought could possibly be achieved. Any future work I need will be done by Pro Coat, and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend their services to anyone.

Can't say enough good things about Dave and his team. Dave came out to personally inspect the deck,…read moresize and condition and his team visited at least 3x to remove and replace a handful of rotting planks, color match our existing color to what they'd apply and then power wash and seal it. He spent time with me on a call explaining the two types of sealant and left me feeling far more informed about the work they were doing than anyone else who's previously done similar work. They moved all the furniture on and off for us and made it a smooth and easy process. Would highly recommend and will use them again when the deck requires re-sealing. Wish all home contractors were as easy going, responsible and timely. Thanks Dave!
