The salon itself is very cool, with tons of different beauty vendors located inside. The Waxing Spot is located in the back and has a little sign outside of its pocket door. The owner was kind and does all of the waxes herself. She's been doing it for over ten years and is super efficient. Important note: they do big strips of wax at once to get the hair off quickly. This is a quick and efficient way to do waxing, but is also more painful. If it's your first wax ever, I'd say go to a place that does the small pieces of wax for an hour or so (takes a while but helps ease the pain), but everyone else will love it here. Ivy is personable, friendly, and somehow manages to laugh you through the pain, she truly makes the whole experience so much more comfortable! I wanted them to assess what my skin needed, so I gave them my budget and told them to do whatever they thought was best in that price range. My esthetician, Rose, was amazing and did a great job clearly explaining what she was doing. She answered all of my questions in a helpful way and I learned that she has 14+ years of experience. She said that this is her favorite place she's worked because everyone here is passionate about skin and they get all of the new gadgets. She hydrated my skin, did a mini chemical peel (one with no downtime), microbladed my face (gets rid of all dead skin/hair/helps you be glowy), and did laser genesis to stimulate collagen and kill bacteria (potential acne). My face was super glowy after and my skin felt tight the following day. The products that she used were top of the line (IS Clinical, Babor, etc), so the price of the facial truly is worth the quality of product that they're giving you.
