Great value for the price, nice to be able to cook our own food after everything else kept giving us diarrhea. (tmi?) New manager was super nice, a gal from Hungary. She was incredibly helpful and understanding. Ientionwd a few things I felt could be better about Room 5 and she was glad to know it and shocked it hadn't been fixed by previous people. She's a perfect addition and much needed help for such a beautiful little spot. The pool was great, the breakfast delicious, staff friendly and kind, quite a ways from the beach, but we had a rental car. There are a few bread bikes that come by, fun to buy yummies from the hotel porch. The gal even ran out and stopped one for me when I said I wanted some! We had turrential rains and the courtyard had puddles, but as soon as it stopped the maid and handyman were out there sweeping. Nice and quiet, off the beaten path, fridge was generous, natural soaps, air conditioning was great, hammock out front was fantastic, along with a beautiful water feature, added security of an extra key for entry into the courtyard at night. Security guard was super nice and parking was spacious and had a motion light. Only complaint was the exposed wiring in the room, I'm glad I didn't bring toddlers. ;-) (they'll probably fix it asap, but I gotta be honest. Internet signal was a bit weak, but worked surprisingly well for Mexico. Very clean place. Leave a good tip for the maid if you leave dirty dishes in the sink and she does them! Gorgeous spot from which to get to Coba, cenotes, tulum ruins, Playa del Carmen etc. read more
