We obviously turned the gas off to it, but then we were in a new area with no idea who we could get to fix it. I'm so glad that I found Sure Flame online because not only were they willing to come out to our rural home, but Elijah also spent over 4 hours troubleshooting, tweaking, and cleaning up the fireplace as he ruled out all of the least expensive repairs. While we did end up having to replace an expensive part, I trusted that it was actually necessary because he really did try everything else first! In addition, It's apparently part of a regular service call for them to clean up the fireplace, wipe down the glass, and even spray the interior with fresh heat-safe paint, so our fireplace even LOOKS almost new again! So excited to have a fireplace we'll get to enjoy as the temperatures drop at our new home and I'll definitely be using Sure Flame for their annual service check-up too!

It was an older model and was hoping I wouldn't have to replace it. He wound up being here much longer than a short service call and had everything on hand that needed to be replaced :-) I will have them do my annual servicing on my mini-splits also. It is so refreshing in these times to find companies with this type of service. I am just blown away!!

Ok... this is LONG OVERDUE!!!…read more Back in August (?) of 2024 my LARGE puppy chewed my control wire to the exterior unit.... During a heatwave... while I was 8 months pregnant. Needless to say the dogs days weren't number, but his minutes were. Started hammer dialing AC companies. Enter Oregon Climate Tech!!! Not only were they to my location within a few hours for this emergency service, but they were personable, polite, efficient, careful, and advised on other units that they saw while there. They were amazing and I couldn't thank them enough. Now to present day: Couldn't for the life of me remember who I called so I came to Yelp to source some quotes.... AND WHO RESPONDS ALMOST IMMEDIATELY?! Oregon Climate Tech!!! I'm talking about an after hours response which was so very appreciated. We scheduled and their rep Adam E. was prompt, efficient, personable, thorough, and all around great rep of the company. My AC is working great, my furnace is happy, and they now have a subscriber of their maintenance plan. I can't recommend this company enough as BOTH of my (relatively last minute) appts have been AMAZING!

Trevor and Casey texted us when they were on their way. They arrived on time and completed the job in one day. They were ingenious in finding work arounds to our 30 year old system. They were respectful of our property and outside plants. They cleaned and vacuumed their work area. Trevor took time to explain the new internet enabled thermostat and had us demonstrate that we could change the setting and schedule. Trevor provided me with a detailed schedule for home maintenance on the system and gave me some tips on troubleshooting. Oregon Climate Tech was fairly priced and provided outstanding value. I highly recommend them.

On a Friday, after 5 PM, my air conditioner stopped cooling. I called Scott, but he was out of town for the weekend, so I had to have another company come out and fix it, and they charged me a lot more than it should have been. At least I got it running through that horrible, hot weekend. Fast forward to the Tuesday, and who should appear but Scott! Unannounced, he came by to see if everything was OK. I had had a power surge the night before, but was unaware that the surge had taken out my air conditioning once and for all and I would need a new unit. I am very sensitive to heat, and Scott promised he would get it as quickly as he could. He also suggested I call my insurance company and see if they would cover all, or part of the cost, and wrote up a statement for me to give them verifying the surge had burned out all the electrical on my A/C. He had the new unit on Friday, and came on Saturday to spend half the day installing it for me so I wouldn't have to go through another weekend uncomfortable. I also got a call from insurance that day saying they were sending me a check for full replacement cost, minus my deductible! This is the kind of above and beyond service you will get from this company. You get excellent service from a really nice guy, and will never get gouged on the bill. I have been using them for over 20 years and recommend Scott very highly! Stay away from the big companies, and support a local, family owned business. You won't be sorry.

We were ready to replace our heater when it went out and we were without heat during a few days of cold weather. This is a family business and Kevin Russo, a fine young man was our serviceman. He got down fast to thoroughly check out the system and determined what the problems were, including a bad thermostat. He made all the repairs and we are happy to say that the system is working better than it did before. We could not be more pleased with our experience and most certainly will use R&S for any services that they provide and will strongly recommend them to friends and neighbors.

Their crew was prompt and professional and did a great job removing and reinstalling siding on the house without trampling the garden. They just finished yesterday, and the weather has been quite mild, so we haven't felt the effects of the insulation yet, but I have high hopes we'll see it on this winter's heating bill!

The water heater was installed 2 1/2 years ago by Rivival Heating and the anode rod needed to be replaced because "Portland water is so hard and full of minerals". The original quote for labor alone (not covered under warranty) was $340 but we got the manager to bring it down to $250. Still, the water heater is only 2 1/2 years old and that was an expense we did not anticipate when we bought the water heater. The prior one was not broken but when we had Rivival replace our furnace, they strongly suggested replacing the water heater at the same time. The old one never produced brown water but after just two years, the new one did. Maybe the water heater wasn't as good as the previous one? Not sure... Forgot to add, my home warranty service said they could not reimburse me because this is a "warranty issue". And to be truthful, the furnace job was great! Just wish the water heater repair didn't cost me anything. Next year, when it is out of warranty, I'll be able to file for reimbursement from my home warranty provider.
