When I bought hearing aids this year, I signed to pay $2,000, but when I got to the desk, the woman insisted they were $2,200 and tried to scare me into paying an extra $200, until I showed her the paperwork. And when I had my hearing exam, the audiologist kept tugging my ears in a way that hurt. I asked her to stop several times, but she wouldn't. I figured this is simply something you have to put up with there to get hearing aids. But I wouldn't suggest leaving a child or vulnerable elderly person alone with them. Particularly not a vulnerable elderly person with a credit card. Unfortunately my mom is also a patient, so I'm going to have to take off work to sit with her when she goes in because I do not trust these people. Right now, I'd just like to get my medical records. I've been asking for them for a month now.

My husband and I were not aware of how unethical she was until she refused to provide us with appropriate receipts for our payments. After having our insurance company investigate her she owes us over $500 and still hasn't paid. There were days where we would wait over an hour to be seen because children with needs would run over their time. We reported her to the state board. The staff at UMD Hearing and Speech Clinic are professional, helpful, and friendly. You meet with an audiologist plus students who are studying audiology and speech pathology. The services there are covered by many medical plans, and they offer several brands of hearing aids. They are also one of the centers that provides information on and scheduling for a cochlear implant. They have very reasonable prices for hearing aids. I highly recommend their services.

They are experienced and intuitive. The staff are truly the best of humanity. I learned so many care tricks from them!! They are supportive to the patient and the family. Their social service person was responsive to all of my calls. Your decision as to where to put your loved one should be based on care. The pictures on the sites want to sell you on the amenities like dining rooms that you never use. It does not show you the hearts of the care providers. This place deserves so much more than the 5 stars that I am leaving.

My daughter was given a speech evaluation by Debbie in my home. She was 3 1/2 years old at the…read moretime. The evaluation resulted in my daughter being a year behind with articulating words as she spoke. Debbie's recommendation was for my daughter to get speech therapy at a facility, as my daughter is a real 'wiggle worm'. Debbie recommended a place, but unfortunately my daughter's insurance denied the claim since she did not experience a trauma or birth defect, which caused her delayed speech. In the meantime, Debbie is working with my daughter every week in our home to provide therapy. She does such a FANTASTIC job with my 'wiggle worm' that my daughter gets excited when she knows Debbie is coming and when she arrives. My daughter's speech has definitely improved since Debbie started working with her. Her sentences are longer, she is clearer, and I understand more words when she talks. My daughter even says, "Ms. Debbie says do this or that..." I would definitely recommend Eat, Speak, Play!
