Ava was so gentle, so encouraging and more than that she possessed and exhibited solid knowledge & experience. In addition-- Never have I ever felt like I was just another patient passing through their doors. They made me feel like part of the EP family. In fact, I have returned to them for other issues I've encountered since then. I returned because I KNEW the quality of service I would receive. I have also gladly and confidently referred family and friends to Evidence and they have echoed the same. Between their expertise, clean facility, professional & friendly front desk staff, uplifting music, variety of equipment (to include their antigravity treadmill), carefully selected, adapted or created exercises to work you from your current level of ability---- in a safe, supportive and encouraging manner/environment to move you to your best "attainable"ability. Evidence Physical Therapy is "not" your average physical therapy provider, but again why would anyone want or settle for average --when you can have the best?! I wanted the pain gone, use of my walking-cane gone, the swelling gone, the ability and confidence to drive again, my range of motion and strength to returned and more. I was tired of feeling helpless. With the efforts of my awesome and dedicated physical therapist and her p/t assistants I got all of that and more! I have been living with chronic pain for twenty-seven years caused by a Motor Cycle Accident in 1987. My primary physician referred me to Pain Specialist Joseph Oppong, Jr., MD. Dr. Oppong began treating me for specific back pain, and referred me to Evidence Physical Therapy for other symptoms I was experiencing. I lost grip in my dominant hand, and range of neck motion among other things. I was introduced to Physical Therapist Provider Subha Nagasubramanian. Subha determined the cause of my loss during a thorough consultation and manipulation of my neck and extremities. My dominant grip measured nearly twenty pounds less than my subordinate hand. Within five days, my dominant hand was restored more than twice that of my subordinate hand through the use of specific exercises associated with my neck, arms and hands. I had Physical Therapy long ago for the same Back and Spine Injuries WITHOUT immediate or lasting results. Back then, I concluded I will just have to live with the pain and loss of mobility. Not so! I am convinced that I STRUCK GOLD with Evidence Physical Therapy. I am further convinced that Subha Nagasubramanian is not just a Physical Therapist, but Subha Nagasubramanian has the gift of healing. I had severe lower back and neck pain that affected how I sit, walk, and regular day to day activities. First day of walking to my evident physical therapy was very impressive. My Assessment was done by Ms. Shital Patel and she schedule my plan. She is Excellent, Knowledgeable, caring, helpful, she takes her time to make sure you are doing the exercises properly and works with you one-on-one for part of the time stretching, massaging. I do not feel rushed in/out. She talks with you so she may understand your challenges, pain levels and expectations. First day of me discussing my pain with Ms. Shital Patel, she patience listen to my complains about pain. Her comforting and confident in curing me gave me high hope and faith in her. She proved me that my faith in her was not wrong. Today I walk out of physical therapy with very less pain scale of 1 or 2 compare to first day 9. I highly recommend Ms. Shital Patel as physical therapist. I am very thankful to her for helping me get cured. Highly recommend this office for Physical therapy! All staff including administrative staffing are very friendly, caring and helpful. I have had physical therapy at different practices following knee surgeries and hip surgery. I am now working on back pain as the result of some spinal issues. Evidence Physical Therapy was referred to me by one of my doctors who has experienced Evidence and raved about the practice. I can't rave about them enough! The entire staff, from the receptionists to the therapists to the assistants, is amazing. Everyone at Evidence is professional, caring, personable, and takes time to get to know you and really communicate with you about your issues. Everyone knows who you are and you are greeted with a smile! The receptionists work with you to schedule around your schedule and will send reminders and/or call to confirm. I've had great conversations with the ladies at the front desk as well as with my therapist, Shital. Shital greets me with a smile and asks how I am doing. Shital is sweet and petite but don't let that fool you! She is gentle but she also motivates me to do what she knows you can do even if you don't think you can. She puts me through my paces and checks on me while I'm working with the assistants. Everyone cheers you on! When my time is up, I know that I am much better than when I arrived! Something that I've never experienced with other practices is the fact that when you have completed your course, you receive a certificate of completion, a thank you card, and a t-shirt! I am a long time healthcare professional, so I am VERY picky about to whom I entrust my health care. Those who know me, absolutely know this about me. Therefore, when I say that Evidence Physical Therapy is as good as it gets, you can count on it. Admittedly, their constant calls as appointment reminders got on my nerves at first, but when I mentioned it to them, they eased off and only sent me cell phone text reminders. All of the therapists were very good, but the one I was assigned, Vischal, he is the MAN!!! I could tell from his techniques, that he learned PT from the old masters, and being an old master myself, there are the little things that demonstrate exceptional skill, which VIschal demonstrated. My physician, Dr. Doriscine Colley recommended this practice to me, knowing how particular am I. Thanks Doc for the recommendation. At the end of my last visit, I received a certificate of completion, a key chain, and a free referral card to give to someone for service. I truly hope I never have a need to return to Evidence. I've recently had a MVA and was in need of physical therapy for my neck and shoulder. I'm also a recovering paraplegic of 25 years and was told that I would at some point plateau off of my recovery and would just have to accept my disability. My motivation to contine rehab on my injury (legs and lower extremities) were distant memories. Since coming to EPT and beginning work with Avan and the other staff, I found a new motivation to want to get stronger. She truly takes the time to educate and listen to concerns. As a helper mysel, I believe this approach goes a long way. Yasmin is also good as she seems to have a very caring spirit as well. The staff seems to be very well rounded, working with all ages and limitations. I was particularly impressed with the front desk crew (initial phone call, and greeting) to the reminder appt. confirmation calls. They are an all-star team. The professional way they treat you makes you feel respected and not judged. You can tell that the leadership team stresses the importance of patient first attitude. I had been in a car accident. I was referred here by my primary doctor. From the front desk to the therapist to the assistants; they were the most courteous staff I've ever seen in an office setting. My physical therapist was Cherice. The assistant work HARD! They are moving a second of the minute! When I went there, I could hardly lift my left arm and definitely couldn't move it to my right side. In addition, I had terrible neck, shoulder and back pains. Let me just say, I've been to at least 4-6 different physical therapy places in my life, but HANDS DOWN - EVIDENCE was THE place to be! Their techniques are current and I tried things I've never tried before, like the "Dry Needling". All I can say about that is WOW. I went in the room hurting and muscles so tight and came out, like a different person. Cherice put me back on track and now I'm better than ever!! Not only are the best in what they do, they become your friends. We spent hours talking about different tv shows we all watched, restaurants to try and places to travel. I can't say enough about the great staff at Evidence Physical Therapy. From your initial intake, through recovery, and--for some--work release, the process is efficient and smooth. After an injury, I worked with nearly every one of their physical therapists. Each therapist built on the previous care provided, and you could tell there is a real team approach to healing and best serving you. I appreciated how the exercises became more challenging, appropriate to my rate of recovery, and how the therapists AND assistants/aides checked in with you each step of the way. They know how, in an almost predictive manner, to help you manage your pain level, while encouraging you to rebuild your strength as well. I could say a lot more, but this is just an awesome practice. There's no "wrong" therapist/assistant to choose, but I particularly enjoyed working with: Avan, Cherice, Chi-Chi, Emmanuel, Ilene, James, JoAnn, Nikki, and Vishal. I reluctantly went to physical therapy approximately two weeks after falling on ice and doctor's recommendation. The pain would not go away so I decided to try one visit ( the doctor prescribed six sessions). After the examination the physical therapist Avan recommended eight sessions but if feeling better would re-evaluate. I was pleasantly surprised after the initial visit my back began to feel better so I continued the sessions. Joann and Avan were competent, caring and courteous (my three C's) and kind. I was discharged after five sessions. I feel much better and appreciate their support and attention. The other staff members e.g., James,ChiChi and Kirsten(@the front desk were respectful and nice as well). I enjoyed my time and would recommend the service to anyone needing physical therapy support. Initially, I had to connect virtually with my physical therapist, Shital Patel. That process was a good introduction and helped to start my road to recovery although I'll admit it was no where near as impactful as the in-person visits that I later had with her. Shital Patel listened to my every complaint and genuinely tried to help. She offered advice on every aspect of my day including how to sit and where to sleep. All of her advice was spot on. During my in-patient visits, her exercises were tough, but she was so pleasant that I didn't mind and I knew it was making my situation better. Her therapeutic massage technique was amazing. She suggested different treatments including traction and dry needling. The dry needling was very helpful and I was amazed at how quickly my symptoms improved. I was tremendously impressed with the staff at Evidence Physical Therapy in Glenn Dale, MD, and grateful to all of them for exemplifying the highest level of competence in the area of physical therapy. The whole team at Evidence, from Emmanuel, Avan, Aileen, to the young ladies that greet you when you come in and insure your appoints are scheduled that your needs are met, are simply awesome! I was in an accident Superbowl night and it caused a left hip injury that affected the elevation of my leg, putting on my shoe, etc. I was referred by my doctor to Evidence and I must say, when I arrived I could not turn the peddles on the exercise bike but after the team at Evidence worked with me, I can not only ride a bike but I can put on my shoe without pain. I have used Evidence Physical Therapy several times over the years and it has never disappointed. The staff is always friendly and courteous. I have never not been greeted with a smile . The entire staff is extremely knowledgeable and really push you to improve without putting extra pressure on you. I had a great experience at Evidence Physical Therapy. The facility is clean, bright, and well equipped, and the staff and the client-patients are meticulous in following covid protocols. I am very careful about masking in these covid times, and l felt very comfortable at Evidence PT. My therapist, Avan Raimalwala, was very encouraging and kind. I credit her with my recovering the full use of my hand and wrist after breaking it early this spring. I am so grateful! The front office staff (Ms. Jackie) is friendly, efficient, and welcoming. After 3 years of ACL Recon surgery suddenly i got tremendous pain, swelling and pinching on my left knee. My doctor referred Evidence PT office. Rommer was my main therapist. He did excellent job with my exercises, manual treatment on knee. Ethan and Courtney was also persistent about my exercises. Ethan gave attention towards my posture while doing each activity. Emmanuel is hero :) He has deep knowledge about patient's problems and exact treatment for them. From front desk Monica, Shania and Jacqueline were very accommodative towards my schedule / changes. My experience with Evidence was awesome. I have been dealing with sciatica pain off and on since 2016. The service was excellent and everyone was great. From the administrative staff who were always pleasant, warmly greeted, and worked me for my appointments. To the assistants who would be waiting for me and mmediately get me started. The PT's are all wonderful and with all the patients they still manage to remember and call me by name as soon as I walked in. I first went to Evidence Physical Therapy for chronic knee pain and returned more recently for a foot injury. There are many great things I could say but I will mention a few things were the most important to me. The entire staff were genuinely caring and nice. They were respectful and professional-they made me feel comfortable and explained relevant body dynamics; they challenged me in a safe effective way, and I finished my sessions not only without pain but also feeling stronger. I had surgery to reconnect my knee cap which had been spit in two. After recovery, I went to Evidence Physical Therapy to recover strength and stability in the injured leg. The staff was friendy and professsional. The staff monotored my recovery progress and tailored exercises to fit the state of improvement. I was also given serveral self-assessments which were recorded. I went from being unable to use the injured leg to walk up stairs to full recovery with minimal discomfort.
