I would strongly recommend looking elsewhere for dental care. My experience with this office was extremely disappointing from both a customer service and treatment perspective. My interactions with Martha at the front desk were consistently unpleasant. I found her to be rude, dismissive, and unhelpful, making communication far more difficult than it should have been. I was also unhappy with the care I received from Thu Hoang. After experiencing problems with a dental procedure, I felt that my concerns were not taken seriously and were not adequately addressed. Instead of working toward a resolution, I felt my complaints were dismissed. What was even more frustrating was that Alex appeared to support and defend the treatment rather than objectively reviewing and addressing the issues I raised. As a patient, I left feeling unheard, unsupported, and disappointed with the overall handling of my case. If you only need a basic cleaning, your experience may be different. However, based on my personal experience, I would not return for more involved dental work. Customer service, communication, and accountability were lacking, and I cannot recommend this dental office. read more

I had been searching for a new dental practice close to home but also one I could trust. The care and quality I have received here has been 1000/10! From the front desk receptionist to the hygienist and doctors, everyone has been so wonderful. The office space and dental areas are always clean. The reception area offers coffee, water and snacks with a comfortable seating and TV. On my first visit I got my x-rays done and a regular teeth cleaning. I came back for a deep cleaning and the service was amazing. I was so nervous because it was my first getting a deep cleaning but the Dr. made me feel comfortable the entire process. They even called me and followed up with to see how I was feeling after. There is plenty of free parking which is a plus for me. I have recommended them to my friends and family. We were original patients to this dental office over 20 years ago when opened by Dr. Phan. We loved his compassionate care and were saddened to have him retire. We decided to continue our care hoping the compassionate care would continue. I had a cracked crown replaced in December 2025. From the beginning it did not feel right but was willing to allow time for healing. I returned a total of 4 visits from Jan to end of May letting the dentist know that the bite does not feel right. Each time they shaved down a little more to fix the bite but it never felt right even after they introduced wearing a bite guard. Each time they assured it just needed more time to heal and they were trying to avoid a root canal. So I learned to live with chronic dull ache in my jaw convinced by the dentists that because the pain was improved that I didn't need anything more. Then I had to call again because the symptoms were worsening now constantly aching and swollen bleeding gums. I couldn't get through to the office so I left notice with the messaging center. Never received a phone call back only a text message stating that they were open and tending to other patients but I could text them. So I replied letting them know my condition had worsened to only receive a text back reminding me that I had an appointment in a couple of weeks. I gave up and went to another dentist office to receive emergent care. A quick X-ray showed an infection to the root of my tooth and a cracked tooth that was beyond repair...so my tooth had to be extracted. I was trusting the expertise of the dentist at PR dental studio that it would get better. I suffered chronic pain for over 8 months following up with them 4 times telling them it did not feel right. Then when my symptoms worsened I was reminded of an upcoming appointment rather than an immediate follow up. Do better for your patients and listen to them when they tell you it doesn't feel right. I did not display excruciating discomfort because I learned to live with the dull ache. I think I was overlooked and pacified. read more

Firstly you should know that they offer money to give them a 5 star review. Not just a review, but a 5 star one. The dentist here seemed nice enough, but the billing was a nightmare. The worst I'd ever experienced by far. They will throw in extra charges without authorization from you or your insurance. Any issue, from scheduling to billing, is met with the girl at the desk or the phone shouting over you in a bullying tactic. Just horrible. Sad because I really wanted this to work since it it's a nice looking office close to where I live. read more

I found my experience at Porter Ranch studios a "Real Pleasure". My many years long Dentist (Dr. Bosch) retired? Which I am glad for him to live out his life in peace and happiness. But now I have a problem? Who will treat my Family for dental work? We have gone to dentists in the past who (IMO) were just terrible, not for me, not for my Family. So when I decided to follow up on a suggestion from Dr. Bosch, and took my son to Porter Ranch studios for a broken tooth and check up, all was good, even "Very Good". My daughter has been in for a check-up and a cleaning, also a "great experience". I am a retired State Employee and have been to Porter Ranch studios several times for more serious dental work, which went without pain, without any problems, and I am pleased, impressed! Yes, I am so happy about their work. I have found Dr. Alex Dolgov and Dr. Thu Hoang to be hard working, serious professionals. They make every effort to work safely, and keep you healthy and comfortable. They are bright doctors, with a brite demeanor, very pleasant, and they use hi-tech gear as well. I found the hygienist to be pleasant, who worked on me without discomfort :). The office and their staff is nice, friendly and cozy, everything is very clean, good coffee too. Their scheduling goes smoothly with email / text reminders. They accept my insurance, and I have not been overcharged. I feel like they are very fair and trustworthy. If you need a dentist office you can count on, I know it is a difficult decision to make; well I highly recommend these guys, give them a try? Highly recommend for all of your dental needs! Both Doctors are highly skilled dentists with the latest technologies. They can do a root canal and have your crown ready and placed on your tooth all in one visit, which in and of itself is mind blowing to me. But more importantly they do good work and they are trustworthy which I think is hard to come by these day especially in the dental field when it comes to either doctors not treating patients fairly, ethically, along with not standing behind their extremely expensive work. They also offer Botox for patients who suffer from TMJ and teeth grinding which completely is life changing for and really helped me with my jaw pain. read more

By far the best dental practice I've used. Dr. Hoang and Dr. Dolgov are professional, knowledgeable and friendly. Recently needed a crown, normally it takes a couple weeks but they have an onsite CAD/CAM lab that produces the tooth. I was in and out in about two hours with a new permanent crown. Billing practices are borderline predatory. They provide very generic estimates for procedures which they do not guarantee apparently. Once they creat their claim with your insurance, then you discover your exact cost. Furthermore, they DO NOT disclose that you have to request an actual pre approval from your insurance company to determine the actual costs of the procedure. They also DO NOT take accountability for this shady billing practice! I have NEVER experienced this is all of my years of going to the dentist. If anything, I end up paying slightly less. Will not be returning. Staff seemed nice and professional but after this I feel extremely mislead. Lastly, whomever responds to these posts, please don't patronize me with the fake apologize and care to do better. Worst experience with Dental Administration I've ever had. Was given a gift certificate by an existing patient to try out their offices, so I made an appointment and told them I was only able to afford a cleaning. Nothing else. I was then told to consider X-rays, I said I could not afford it, but that I would consider. When I arrived, I was told that I had no choice but to do an exam. When I reminded them I was unable to do so, they shrugged their shoulders and did nothing to accommodate. Oh, well. Lost a patient! read more

Dr. Phan is seriously the best dentist I've ever encountered. He's very gentle, thorough and efficient at his job. He and his wonderful staff made an actually PLEASANT experience for me.... Yes, I actually used the word Pleasant describing a dentist office... Hard to believe! I got a cleaning before I see Dr. Phan, I used to hate cleaning but the hygienist was so gentle I hardly had any pain at all. I'm not too sure how Dr. Phan and his staff do it. I thought I'd need sedation in order to get over my fears, but I got through a filling here with no Novocain at all. I was completely at ease. I used to avoid the dentist for years, but now I actually don't mind going to the dentist..... I feel absolutely no anxiety coming here at all, which is shocking since the thought of going to the dentist used to keep me up all night in fears. I rarely ever brag or compliment anyone but I have to admit..... Dr. Phan is everything you ever wanted in a dentist: knowledgeable, skilled, patient and gentle. Another bad experience with supplementary surprise bills. I do understand that I am responsible as a consumer to stay up-to-date with insurance coverages, etc. however, billing me up front and then billing the insurance is not okay. I also understand that the fees presented during consultation are estimates, which is the reason why billing the insurance and then collecting the difference after confirming coverages-- is the correct procedure. Bottom line: You can charge whatever you want for your services, again, I guess I understand that now after learning the hard way. But, $100 for an antibiotic that only costs $5-10 at other facilities is just wrong! No, thank you! read more
