When I reached out because I was in pain, Dr. Kashani personally told me that he was "not at my disposal" and that if I was in pain I should call 911. Being told to call 911 for dental pain instead of receiving guidance or support from the treating dentist felt dismissive and inappropriate. I understand that doctors have boundaries and are not available 24/7. However, there is a professional way to communicate that. The way it was handled made me feel like I was wrong simply for reaching out while experiencing pain. Additionally, Angie from the office told me they did not think I would be a "good fit" for the practice because I asked too many questions. That is honestly concerning. Patients have every right to ask questions about their treatment, risks, alternatives, and costs. Informed consent requires transparency -- it should not disqualify someone from care. Being told I might not be seen because I ask questions, combined with being told to call 911 when I was in pain, does not reflect patient-centered care. Patients should never feel discouraged from advocating for themselves or seeking clarification about their own health.

Prior to that I was with 1 Dds who did "complete restoration" 7 years earlier.) It was so bad that the roots had become calcified. Unable to find and or penetrated by regular means. And he tried for a long time. He referred me out but I decided to check around. I chose MHEG after doing the math and reading reviews. But "Alex" solidified my visit. Over the phone she addressed my concerns and basically proved that this clinic wasn't just about the money. Other Endo's that I phoned said they would keep 1/2 the cost if the procedure was unsuccessful! Imagine that. Also the others were more expensive. The fees were discussed over the phone and if they couldn't complete the procedure they would take 350.00 which was much less than everyone else AND, that included x-rays and cat scans. Okay...that was Alex doing her job...by the way Marvel IYKYK... Went straight to the chair in an on time appointment. No wait. X-rays and then cat scans were done immediately. Then the consult with Dds Kang with Griselda by his side. He confirmed the difficulty of what I thought. There was no guarantee but he would do his best. ...and it was Friday the 13th! All work done under a microscope. Precision work and never felt any pain. I was asked if i was in pain multiple times. The only thing I felt was the success of each of the 4 canals being opened. I didn't say anything cause I wanted to be sure but when Dds concluded and explained the rest of the plan I understood that he managed to accomplish the mission. He will check it again in a few months to be sure there's no infection but I already feel the healing. The illness was released. Went from a massive abscess and potential tooth pull to one day later feeling relief from a huge tooth issue. Dds is amazing. Professional and confident, Delicate precision over the instruments he used to accomplish a successful root canal on a most difficult tooth. And Griselda was a pro. Her personality glows and she loves what she does. It's easy to see. I should also mention that she had every item that Kang needed at the ready the entire time. I'll close with the fact that cost matters as does expertise. I found MHEG to be a good combination of both. Just like my current dentist. They have forwarded their report to my primary dentist. Let me start off by saying I don't live in the valley at all in fact I live in Orange County, but because I've heard such fantastic reviews about Dr. K. I decided to have a consultation for a tooth that have been bothering me anytime I ate anything hot. I had another doctor take a look at the tooth and he was uncertain and said that he may have to send me to an endodontist. When he said that I knew immediately that I would go to Dr. K because I've known plenty of people who had root canals or needed root canals go to him and were successful. What I really appreciate about the office is how accommodating they are unfortunately due to traffic I was really late and I knew that I would have to wait however they were able to get me in ASAP. Adrianne in the front office was so very understanding and just encouraged me to get there safely, which put me at ease. Once I got there, the assistant did my x-rays and Dr. K came in immediately to assess my discomfort once he found out what the situation was. He allowed me to make the decision if I wanted to have the root canal done or not, and I of course, went ahead and had it done. Everything went so smoothly from the financial part of it getting my insurance information and co-pays down to the treatment itself. He said that I may need two appointments, but he was able to complete the root canal in one visit, which took about 45 minutes. I'm so very appreciative to have found a fantastic root canal doctor so if anyone needs to have a root canal done I highly recommend San Fernando Valley Endo with Dr. K because he is fantastic great chair, side manner listens to your concerns and does all the testing necessary to assess the issue. To make a long story short: Dr. Jovicich is top notch. After studying the X-ray he found a small fracture in the tooth and determined that the tooth had developed a minor infection. The root canal was done in minutes - less than 45 minutes - maybe only a half hour! Sometimes when you watch someone work you just know that they know what they're doing as they plug away without hesitation. This was one of those times. It was like watching Bob Ross paint happy little trees or Edward Scissorhands cut hair. I highly recommend Dr. Jovocich for your Endo needs although this is also a situation where I don't necessarily want to be back in his chair anytime soon, if you know what I mean.
