You need to know what to order here, the bone marrow was fantastic, the burger was decent but the worst mashed potatoes, service is ok because they don't speak English well but our server was trying hard to please us , the price was also so reasonable .

Tuna was fresh and tasty.

Great service, meat is on the menu and generally fantastic food. They even have thermal scan if you have a temp. They have a private dining room but they will only serve up to four people due to Covid rules. Sure enough an inspector showed up. They have it all under control. Everything we ordered was on point. Cannot say I've had a better meal in Mexico City. Don't miss it but they close at ten so the days of staying open all night are over. Get there early. We got there at seven and still felt we should have been there earlier. Then go out and check out the whole street it's fantastic.

Cool speakeasy with old Chicago vibe entrance, hip new dance music, full menu. Did not eat as I came full already but cool hip crowd and well worth the time. Great service here and generally everywhere in the City DF Mexico , REALLY!!

Half of the food I left plus a few pieces of bones that weren't in my dish

Cambalache is an Argentine steakhouse, which is reflected in the style of grilling their meats (over an open flame, which can be viewed at the back of the restaurant), and the service of the meat itself (a La plancha, at the table). We chose the ribeye (600-700g) to share. It was perfectly cooked to medium temperature, and sliced for us tableside. A beautiful cut of meat, and very flavorful. The side dishes were tasty, too (the soufflé potatoes are a signature, and they're fun to try/share). Speaking of tableside prep, I highly recommend saving room for the strawberries Romanoff - our server spent about 20 minutes whipping a combination of vanilla Haagen Dazs, Grand Marnier, cream, and fresh-sliced strawberries into a fluffy concoction that was divinely yummy. Our youngest diner insisted on coming back to Cambalache a second time, a week later, just to have it again. It's not on the regular postre menu, so be sure to ask your server about it.

We were also served a small plate of breads and sauces while we waited for our food. Dante is also in a beautiful neighborhood with a stunning ambience. The only heads up I'll give is that they actually allow smoking in part of this restaurant, and we didn't know that when we were offered a seat out on the terrace. So it was very unpleasant to be enjoying this food only to have someone smoking at the next table. So just be sure when you go (don't let this keep you from going, please!) you specify that if you're in the patio section you don't want to be near smokers. That aside, I will definitely return HUNGRY and will try their other delicious-looking dishes!

They cleared plates promptly, wiped down the table when they noticed it was dirty, when I went to the restroom they traded out my napkin for a clean one and neatly folded it by my plate. We split two dishes and the waiter plated them for us. The meal started with them giving us a bread basket with a variety of different breads as well as salsas. The salsas were delicious. After we split the beef barbacoa and brisket. Delicious. And the highlight of our meal was the dessert. We ordered the chocolate mousse. It was decadent and had little caramels around the plate. I've been dreaming about it ever since 10/10. The atmosphere was sexy and cool, low lighting, sophisticated crowd. I saw groups dining there of 7 or more. Price wasn't too bad either. Not cheap but not ridiculously expensive. Come here if you want a nice dinner with great service and ambiance.

We had bites and drinks before our main dish. The margaritas were popping. I had never had "lengua". It was so tender the broth in which it was served really hi the spot. Overall great service, good food. Their specialty is steaks and they don't disappoint. I didn't go with a steak this time, I am glad I decided to have the lengua. The Starter Game: They kick things off with a bean dip and a lineup of sauces. Pro-tip: Go for the white sauce, but proceed with caution--it's hella spicy and easily the best of the bunch. The Main Event (Combo for 2): We split the "Combo for 2" which featured: * The Beef Broth: It comes with a tray of condiments to customize the flavor. I wouldn't usually order this, but it was surprisingly savory and a great warm-up. * NY Strip & Skirt Steak: The meat arrives rare, but here's the best part: it's served on a scorching hot slab. Since we like our steaks cooked differently, we were able to sear each bite to our own perfect temperature right at the table. * The Truffle Fries: Two words--ABSOLUTELY DIVINE. Don't skip these. The Vibe: The restaurant is located on the first floor (one story up) and has a great atmosphere. Easy to book, delicious food, and interactive cooking? A total win.

I was hesitant to go in with the music but decided to anyways. Am I ever glad that I did! Miguel and Bryan were amazing. They offered their suggestions for drinks as well as our meal. I decided to have the Duck Dumplings, Artichokes, and Mexican raised beef with asparagus as the side. The meat was extremely tender and perfectly cooked, the dumplings tasted great, and the bread before the meal was amazing! I look forward to returning! I wish that I had remembered to take a photo of the steak!

The wine list is pretty expensive and the wine display upon entry is pretty impressive. The outer dining room is by far nicer than the indoor room, though you are subjecting yourself to the smoking section if that's the path you choose. Like most high end restaurants in Polanco, you can expect loud, out of place music with videos on large screens that attempt to match the beat. I've had the Caesar salad here, the Tomahawk steak and the beef ribs. The ribs were by far my favorite. They fell right off the bone and didn't need an ounce of additional sauce or seasoning. The complimentary bread is a nice touch and their seasoned butter is great. The dessert selection is pretty vast, with about 10 different options. The chocolate layer cake is insanely good, but feeds an entire table so bring back up.

I did not have any chicken from the grill and I'm not a big fan of the sausages. It was still good. The service was great but the staff does not speak much English per one of the Google reviews I saw when searching for an Argentinian cuisine. Prices are reasonable for the amount of food you get and the bread basket was great. The restaurant pretty emptied when we came at 7:30pm for our reservation but it slowly filled up. We chose to sit in the outdoor seating area unfortunately we were bit by mosquitoes. Our waiter was very professional and attentive. They had excellent wine selection as well as alcoholic beverages. There was only two of us, but yet we still chose to go with the grilled meats options, which comes with five variety of cuts. Rib meat, filet mignon, sirloin, and flank steak. Our waiter warned us that that will be too much food, but we insisted and he was absolutely right. We also ordered a baked potato and a cream spinach. Cream spinach is the style in which the spinach leaves are left in tact as opposed to someplace in the US where the spinach is finely chopped. The meat was served over a hot charcoal grill that was brought to our table. If you choose to keep the meat warm or cook it further you can because the grill is hot enough to cook on it. My favorite meat turned out to be the rib meat as it is more fatty, and it was well salted. Filet mignon was good and lean as it should be. None of the meat were marinated. I believe the only marinade used was salt pepper in some garlic. they also asked us if we wanted to get local Mexican meat or import meat. After inquiry, I discovered that import means US imported meat. We chose the local meet and it was perfect .
