Medialunas, capuchino, y desayuno especial del dia
Melissa D.

Trout dinner

Nice location on a quiet street corner. We both ordered the trout dinner that was fresh, but lacking flavor. Should have ordered a meat dish.

Romantic spot near the Condesa neighborhood. My hunny and I wanted a dinner that satisfied both of our tastes meat and seafood. I love Argentinian style food, so this was a perfect place. There are a lot of options to choose from for starters and entrees. You could get away with ordering several things and sharing. I could have tried many of their empanadas but I opted for the mushroom and provolone. It was a different look cooked open face but still delicious. I paired it with a sangria that was delicious and smooth. For an entree I got the octopus! I have had it before in restaurants in the US but loved it here. They made it with real mole sauce with a cream. It was very flavorful and not rubbery. It was paired with potatoes. The potatoes were a little overcooked but it did not kill the dish. We sat outside and enjoyed the scenery. There were many people out walking their dogs. I loved it.

Great wine list!

We walked by here the other evening and decided to come back for dinner. Cordial greeting...yes, we're tourists and my Spanish is not very good. Our server was courteous and attentive, but his English abilities matched my Spanish so we got along fine. Ordered a great Malbec and we started with the carne empanadas. Very flavorful meat in a pastry that was baked! I've only had them fried and these were delicious! I could come back just for these and some wine! It also came with some crisp potato chops with tomatoes and purple onions. We both ordered the steak and it came with some great roasted potatoes, yams, and onions. The steak was well seasoned and cooked a little more rare than the medium we asked for. The steaks had a little more fat than we liked. The low lit ambiance on the patio didn't allow us to see just how fatty they were. We were also give an assortment of breads with a delicious chimichurri sauce. For dessert we ordered the lemon creme brulee which I felt had a little lavender infused in the caramelized sugar and the choco one that sort of reminded us of cookies and cream, but chocolate. Very dense and rich mousse layered with chocolate cookies? cake? brownies?...whichever, it was very good! This was a very satisfying and delicious meal! I would definitely come back the next time I'm in town!

I spent about two months in Mexico City Without a doubt, this was one of my favorite restaurants!! Everything here was incredible. Absolutely delicious!! I would highly recommend the empanadas, and the milanesa.

Absolutely loved the food! The restaurant is located in a nice area. Every thing that we ordered was very good! The empanadas were all delicious. The Argentinian sausage was great! The drinks are amazing and loved that a woman with an alcohol cart came around and made mixed drinks! The staff is friendly!

Veal osso bucco

Ok, so I'm not one that normally likes to give bad reviews, but this place was not my favorite. After eating here, I had GI issues from Monday until today (Friday), and my bf got sick as well, but luckily for him it was only one day. We had the mollejas, which were decently cooked but under seasoned as an appetizer. I had the pulpo and he had the veal osso bucco. The pulpo was okay- needed salt or some seasoning, but his fish tasted like it had been inadequately reheated with a wine reduction or something to the side that was very offputting and almost smelled like it had gone bad. Neither of us finished our dishes. We each had one drink, and they were completely watered down and mostly flavorless. I would not recommend this place to anyone, unless you want to get GI problems. If you choose to visit, consider yourself warned.

The steak is mouth watering good, but the sides and empanadas are where this place shines. Try the ham & cheese empanada, the creamed spinach and mashed potatoes. Wash it down with some Malbec and you are golden. Also, request the enchanting patio if possible. Gorgeous setting!

First attempt at medium-rare ribeye steak. Overcooked, tough, bland.

Worst steakhouse I've tried in Mexico City. I ordered a medium-rare ribeye (which they call a New York steak for some odd reason). The steak they served me was a joke. A thin 1 inch cut of low quality beef that was already cooked well done when it reached my table on a sizzling plate. If 7-11 or gas stations served steak I would imagine this is the quality you would get. I showed the server that it was overcooked and he took it back to the kitchen. They made me another steak but it was raw in the middle this time (see pictures). I paid my bill and left without eating. They didn't offer to take the steak off my bill. Avoid this place.

Excellent food, service and atmosphere. Great location. I certainly recommend to anyone traveling in the area. Argentine food is always a good choice for meat eaters and this place is exceptional. Sadly we only did beer not wine but it also looked/smelled amazing. Show up with a healthy appetite and the expectation to be served a great meal by a great staff.

Upon arrival, we were greeted by the hostess and shown to our table. They have minimal English-speaking staff, but we didn't have any issues communicating. There is also patio seating as well.   Menu was split into different categories from appetizers, salads, steaks, pizza, pasta, and seafood. We were surprised at how big the portion was, plenty to share. We ordered a few items:   - NY dry aged carpaccio: This was a massive portion. Cut perfectly into thin slices. A great choice for an appetizer. - Brisket tacos (3): Comes with 3 medium size tacos. Meat was tendered. Two different sauces and with your usual toppings. - Ribeye tacos (3): Same with this, comes with 3 tacos. My favorite out of the two tacos. - Octopus on the grill: My favorite out of everything we tried. I love getting octopus when in Mexico. It was fresh and grilled perfectly. It also came with fried potatoes which we all love. - Peasant salad: A good balance to the rest of the meal. A refreshing salad with sweet tomatoes. - Grilled cod fillet: The cod fillet was just the right texture. The sweet potatoes puree gave it a nice balance.   The service was amazing. The staff helped pour our water and helped with plating our food. I really appreciate their attentiveness. Overall, this was a great experience and would highly recommend anyone to stop by for lunch/dinner if they're in the Roma Norte area.

Nice buttery, flaky crust and succulent meat. Well seasoned. We then decided to try some of the Argentinian chorizo that came with a simple salad of lettuce and tomato dressed with some olive oil. The sausage was probably the worst part of the meal, but that's like saying a Mercedes is the worst car among a bunch of Ferrari and Lamborghinis lol. The star of the night was the prime ribeye, that came the table with Serrano peppers and grilled onions. Beautiful great flavor, high-quality beef! Pure well seasoned beef flavor! We also decided on a side of soufflé potatoes. Now this isn't like a soufflé as much as it was like french fries that were puffy and like little pillows. They were good if not, perhaps a bit under seasoned. They tasted much better when I spooned a little the Housemade chimichurri sauce over the top. End of the night with a dessert of tableside flambé Crepe Suzette! Very delicious very traditional with the Grand Marnier and the Brandy served with some really good vanilla ice cream. Wash it all down with a bottle of 2021 Primeras Viñas Cabernet Sauvignon from Bodega Lagarde. The meal from start to end was wonderful and delicious. He wanted to get his tip out of me as the restaurant was empty on 8/21/22 around 5:30pm when I had dinner. The grilled octopus was what I wanted as the chef got it perfectly done. The malbec was just so-so nothing to write home about. The service was exceptional throughout until I received my check. I specficially asked the waiter to canceled my grilled vegetable order as the octopus was way too much for me. I didn't cancel in time as I told the manager what happened and the manager still billed me for it. I told the waiter I wanted to pay using my credit card but demanded the credit card machine convert to US Dollars so I don't get billed for the foreign currency fee of 3% on my credit card. The waiter lied to me as I used google translate and I was pissed off. Therefore, his tip was only 10% and he said in Spanish not enough. I told him service was great but I never touched the grilled vegetables as he insisted I order something else on the menu. I ended up paying Mexican pesos for my dinner. I'm disappointed that the manager still insisted I pay for my grilled vegetables when I didn't even touch it as I stated I wanted to canceled but the waiter refused to do it. Lesson learned here - if restaurant staff understands English better than language barrier as manager had limited English too. We came to this small Argentine restaurant on Sunday night -- the two other restaurants we had selected ahead of it were closed. What a pleasant surprise for a third choice! The place is tiny but tastefully decorated. It looks like a coffee shop from the outside, so don't miss it. Once inside, the aroma of grilled meat and good food are almost overwhelmingly delicious. We did not have steaks this time around -- we weren't that hungry. Instead, we split some empanadas, fries, and a salad. The empanadas were chistorra and cheese, ground beef, and spinach and corn. They were all excellent -- hot, flaky, and flavorful. The fries were also good and crisp, and my wife loved the simple mixed greens salad. We also had some good, inexpensive wine. Everything was served cheerfully by the friendly staff. You can see the grill from the dining room, and all the other diners seemed to really enjoy their steaks. They did look delicious! It was pretty cool seeing people tuck into the 400g portions with gusto. From what I saw, nobody left with doggie bags. I'm definitely coming back for one of those bad boys!
