100/10! The service was beyond amazing! A hidden gem for sure. From the moment we sat down the service was great. It is well hidden place that is easy to miss. The server did a phenomenal job. They serve you a house tamal for free while you wait for any appetizers or your meal. It was absolutely delicious. We tried their chicharron and guac with a side of agua chile and it was absolutely tasty! I got the shrimp quesadillas and it did not disappoint. The vibe in there is very cool. Very calm with a hint of nature and great taste of music.

Wow what an incredible dining experience! The restaurant itself is gorgeous with high ceilings and beautiful decor. The service was superb! And oh my gosh every dish we tried was delicious. The gnocchi made of plantains blew my mind, and for our entrees we had fish and a quesadilla with shrimp. All so good

Such a beautiful restaurant! The waiters were friendly & very attentive, and each dish was soo good. My group got a few different dishes and we all loved it!

A local recommended this spot as one of her favorites. The night we had dinner there were some hits and some misses. Five of us dined and here were the **best things on our table**: DRINKS -"The Mezcanton" mezcal drink was the table favorite, by far. The Mezcal in the drink was Union El Viejo. It brings a smokey, earthly flavor layered to perfectly balanced citrus and sweet. BBQ and citrus is the best description I can think of. It was my favorite drink I had while visiting CDMX. STARTERS "Tostada de Jurel" was a great start to the meal. Good flavors, well balanced. Surprisingly I liked the grasshoppers. If you're going to go home and tell people you tried grasshoppers, this is the dish to try. MAINS -"Risotto Negro con Camarones" was one of the best dishes we ate all trip. I'd order it without hesitation. -"Aguachile" was a ceviche style dish. Very flavorful and fresh ingredients. DESSERT "Tarta de platano con dulce de leche" if you like banana desserts this was outstanding. Best dessert I had in CDMX. **What wasn't good**: Tomato soup was okay. The crouton in the middle was super soggy and the soup needed that contrasting texture. "Torta Ahogada" was bad. They screwed up my order and brought out my soup and sandwich at the same time. They tried to fix it by taking away my sandwich and then brought back the same sauce covered sandwich they served me 15 minutes before and the bread was so soggy it was un-eatable. It was terrible. One of the absolute worst things I had while in CDMX. -The octopus flavor was spot on, the texture was off. It wasn't cooked properly. I'd avoid this dish. -- ** IF ** you order correctly it could be one of the best meals you've ever eaten. June 2021

A perfect example of the view you'll get at this fantastic spot

Would give ten stars if I could. Requested that they have wine at the table for when we arrive and they nailed it! From there, the artichoke appetizer was amazing while not too filling, which is the mark of a good app. My girlfriend loved her vegan tacos while my birria tacos were delicious. And lastly, the helado dessert was light but also decadent. Throw in a setting that is to die for and I couldn't recommend this place enough.

Excellent ambience, wonderful cocktails, delicious food - what more can you ask for!?

I ate a lot of really fantastic meals in Mexico City but this was THE BEST. Start with the ambience of the place, stunningly beautiful colonial home. The dining room is in a courtyard under the stars. Then you have to consider the cocktail menu. They had an entire page of gins to choose from! That is a rarity in CAll of the cocktails are made with fresh juices and served ever cold draft ice. I had an old standby, a Collins, and it was perfectly balanced and crisp. We ordered a tuna tostada, a tomato cream soup and the rabbit carnitas. Three classic dishes but all with their own unique flavor. Everything was good but honestly the tomato soup took home the best of the best that night. I'm not even kidding when I say that I was restraining myself from licking the bowl. This place is not to be missed, by locals and tourists a like. A true gem in the culinary crown city of Mexico.

This place is amazing! Great food! The desserts were so good! The service is absolutely outstanding! Definitely a hidden gem within the Roma district. It's very hipster! Love it.

Beautiful space and an interesting take on some fusion items. We found that they used a lot of soy/hoisin flavours which made dishes quite salty (be weary haha). The staff was really good at making sure we had an English menu and trying their best at accommodating us. We had gotten a couple of dishes: tuna tostada - great flavour but on the salty side, soft shell crab taco - not worth it in my opinion and the prawn risotto - different than western type risotto - more thick similar to a porridge type. Prawn was really well seasoned. Soft shell crab was underwhelming and was almost completely covered in batter which really masked the taste of it. Sorry for the lack of light and photos - was a bit dim when we dined (reservations recommended) and kind of fudged the photo op haha. Decent pricing but on the more expensive side for CDMX eats.

We find this place after a wine-tasting at the SI MON wine bar which is attached. I asked if they could do something vegan and when they said "yes" - we booked a reservation. Really happy we did. I was there with my mom, who is decidedly not vegan, so she got the blue crab tacos. From her devouring it, I know it had to be incredible. I had the beet carpaccio (without cheese) and to start some sort of black bean, cilantro, green tomato deliciousness (I've clearly forgotten its name). We shared a bottle of wine from SI MON, the MM to be exact. We took the rest of the bottle home and even bought a few bottles to take back to the States with us because it is an amazing wine (from the Valle de Guadeloupe, no less). The food is well thought out and constructed, the wine is divine. The ambience is beautiful, set in a courtyard that is serene and lovely. The staff were attentive and kind, and despite us speaking very little Spanish, they really took care of us (and were beyond patient).

Delicioso fondant de dulce de leche! Es un MUST #foodporn

Ideal for going with a large group of friends. Just make sure to make a reservation. The food is good and I like the atmosphere. I like the dulce de leche fondant, the tacos and the cake with dulce de leche and banana. The only thing I don't like is the service, it's too slow. So be prepared to spend a lot of time there. Prices are a bit high.

    Delicious appetizers!

We then kicked things off with the arancini, which set the tone right away--crispy, flavorful, and perfectly done. For mains, we shared a spread and honestly couldn't pick a favorite: the Octopus Tacos were tender and packed with flavor, the Rabbit Tacos were unique and delicious, and the roasted seasonal vegetables "al mojo de ajo" were simple but so satisfying. The marinated pan-fried salmon and fresh trout were both beautifully cooked and thoughtfully seasoned. Every dish felt intentional, beautifully presented and well executed. But the real showstoppers were the desserts. The fresh goat cheesecake with orange, grapefruit, and lemon was bright and perfectly balanced, and the whisky chocolate crème brûlée was rich, smooth, and unforgettable. Desserts truly knocked it out of the park. Bonus points for the cocktails--my hubby was a huge fan. Great food, great drinks, excellent service and relaxed ambiance made for a wonderful overall experience. Highly recommend adding Temporal to your Mexico City dining list.

Even though they have…read moreseveral locations across CDMX, we stumbled upon one just a short walk from our hotel--and the fact that they were open on Christmas Day already earned bonus points. What really says it all? We loved it so much, we went back the very next day. This was the only restaurant we repeated during our week-long stay, which should tell you everything. The menu is extensive and thoughtfully curated--fresh, flavorful, and something for everyone. We tried the croissant sandwich, salmon deli nut sandwich, chutney mango deli sandwich, santos ahogados, fig chipotle deli sandwich, pear honey deli sandwich, and the spicy tuna deli sandwich. The sandwiches came with a standard simple salad. Every single item was delicious, well-balanced, and satisfying in that "clean but filling" way. The tables had two delicious spicy chili oil like condiments which elevated each of these dishes. And the juices--WOW. So refreshing, vibrant, and clearly made with high-quality ingredients. The perfect complement to the food and ideal for starting (or resetting) your day. If you're visiting Mexico City, Ojo de Agua is an absolute must. With such a wide menu, you're guaranteed to find something you'll love--and very likely come back for more. Highly recommend!

We tried a few juices, the chicken tomato salad and the salmon tacos. The salad was huge with a big portion of chicken, avocado and many toppings for a reasonable price.
