    Octopus tacos
    Niki W.

Came here in mid-June for a lunch. Kind of pricy, but the service and ambience was really nice. We got to sit outside beneath a lush canopy. The caesar salad and table bread/ tostada were really good. And the octopus tacos were delicious. Lots of interesting condiments and well cooked octopus. I really liked how the caesar salad had a good balance of dressing and crouton crumbs.

This was so fun and exactly what I was looking for. A nice place to sit outside, have some chips and guac, relax and people watch. We got a table on the patio and were immediately greeted by two awesome servers, impeccably dressed in their white aprons. We were kind of between meals that would be at weird times, and we also just kind of wanted to sit down, relax and watch the city go by. This was perfect for that. Agua con gas, a beer, a nosh, and chance to reflect on a wonderful day in CDMX before heading out for our evening plans. Highly recommend - and next time I come, I'm coming for brunch based on these other reviews!

lovely place for breakfast! sit outside and enjoy the weather! everything is well priced and the service is good. the juices are amazing! they serve alcohol too. i got the pulled chicken chilaquiles, they add a 30 peso charge for the chicken. the portions were huge! the flavor was great, everything was cooked well. the free bread with salsa is very good, i could eat that alone.

This is honestly the BEST breakfast spot in Mexico City, every time I come here this spot is a must stop. The service is spectacular and the food is beyond anyone's expectations. Did I mention the ambience which makes you feel like you are in another part of the world. Love love love !!!!

Casual in a very classy establishment. Come as you are!

Amazing and attentive staff. Very classy cafe. Very polite and accommodating staff. The were dressed in white smocks and extremely attentive to my needs. The restaurant had lovely ambiance with patio seating and nice mellow music over the sound system. Tables are covered in linen and the staff regularly wipe cê mps off the table. I asked for some off menu items (which I do not usually do but being from Las Vegas, I was itching for Steak and Eggs). The waiter and maitre'd tried to fulfill my request, but it was too early in the morning to make it happen. However the waiter supplied some wonderful alternatives to my request. I sent back the bread basket. It was full of wonderfully looking pastries, slices of rich bread, and a wouthwatering cup of fresh butter. I sent it back because I wanted to save some room for my meal. I started the meal with a wonderfully flakey chocolate croissant and an a Americano along with a small tropical fruit plate. Both were wonderful in execution. In the end I chose their signature dish the "El Molleton Puerco". It's an open-faced sandwich topped with a layer of refried beans, chorizo, a slice of ham, melted cheese, and bacon. You can add the garnish options of avocado and picked onions. Fantastic execution and presentation. Highly recommended!

PRIMOS...Awesome Everything..."¡Yes, you can have salmon insteam of ham, and corn tortilla instead of bread in your Eggs Benedicto!"

We then kicked things off with the arancini, which set the tone right away--crispy, flavorful, and perfectly done. For mains, we shared a spread and honestly couldn't pick a favorite: the Octopus Tacos were tender and packed with flavor, the Rabbit Tacos were unique and delicious, and the roasted seasonal vegetables "al mojo de ajo" were simple but so satisfying. The marinated pan-fried salmon and fresh trout were both beautifully cooked and thoughtfully seasoned. Every dish felt intentional, beautifully presented and well executed. But the real showstoppers were the desserts. The fresh goat cheesecake with orange, grapefruit, and lemon was bright and perfectly balanced, and the whisky chocolate crème brûlée was rich, smooth, and unforgettable. Desserts truly knocked it out of the park. Bonus points for the cocktails--my hubby was a huge fan. Great food, great drinks, excellent service and relaxed ambiance made for a wonderful overall experience. Highly recommend adding Temporal to your Mexico City dining list.

Then, allow the friendly staff to bring as many items from the menu as you can handle. Come with a group so you can share. An absolute must is the whole fish done à la Contramar, one side of the split fish coated in a punchy parsley sauce and the other in a red adobo rub. Served with flour tortillas (which are refillable) and black bean dip, you'll be instructed how to compose perfect bites. Then, choose your own adventure! We also had both the 4 piece each shrimp tostadas and tuna tostadas. Radically different so getting both doesn't duplicate. The pasta (spaghettini) with clams was buttery and garlicky and the pasta was surprisingly not overcooked. Biggest surprise was the grilled soft shell crabs (with corn tortillas). They came pre cut then reassembled so it was easy to pick them up and pop them in your mouth. The grill flavor was fantastic and we were all impressed. We finished with a slice of coconut cake which was like a caramel coated macaroon. Perfect! Large wine list by the glass and bottle, many cocktails, sangria and beer to choose from. Definitely a place to visit when in Mexico City. Sorry for the lack of photos-- we forgot because we dove into each dish (we were hungry and they looked so good)! Got one good one though...

Even though they have…read moreseveral locations across CDMX, we stumbled upon one just a short walk from our hotel--and the fact that they were open on Christmas Day already earned bonus points. What really says it all? We loved it so much, we went back the very next day. This was the only restaurant we repeated during our week-long stay, which should tell you everything. The menu is extensive and thoughtfully curated--fresh, flavorful, and something for everyone. We tried the croissant sandwich, salmon deli nut sandwich, chutney mango deli sandwich, santos ahogados, fig chipotle deli sandwich, pear honey deli sandwich, and the spicy tuna deli sandwich. The sandwiches came with a standard simple salad. Every single item was delicious, well-balanced, and satisfying in that "clean but filling" way. The tables had two delicious spicy chili oil like condiments which elevated each of these dishes. And the juices--WOW. So refreshing, vibrant, and clearly made with high-quality ingredients. The perfect complement to the food and ideal for starting (or resetting) your day. If you're visiting Mexico City, Ojo de Agua is an absolute must. With such a wide menu, you're guaranteed to find something you'll love--and very likely come back for more. Highly recommend!

We tried a few juices, the chicken tomato salad and the salmon tacos. The salad was huge with a big portion of chicken, avocado and many toppings for a reasonable price. The tacos were smaller but flavorful. Taking off a star because my salad arrived almost 15 minutes before my boyfriend's tacos arrived and the restaurant was pretty empty. The lights were out in the bathroom and in part of the restaurant, so not sure if they were dealing with a partial power outage and impact to the kitchen. Still recommend for the food!
