The best Argentinean steakhouse I've ever been to south of the Rio Grande and north of the Rio de la Plata. We went for my birthday and this restaurant completely delivered a meal worthy of a celebration. We were slightly disappointed with the ribs, as they were a bit hard and crunchy and the morcilla fell to pieces in our plate. Neither complaint is worth knocking off a star for, as we had such a great time.

My daughter brought us here for dinner. The mixed drinks were great. We started with a queso funido, and it was delicious. The meat was juicy and well done. The staff was excellent. They ensured we had everything we needed. It's a great place to have a drink and delicious food.

Even though the server, Andres, kept trying to upsell our orders, this was one of the best service we had while in town. He was friendly, knowledgeable and quick. And kept coming to check on our table. Argentinian food in a cool decor with even cool music being piped by Dj Marcelo Cav. Food was very taste and very plentiful so be mindful of that. We began with a small tasting of a broth that was brought from the chef which was a bit salty. Andres also brought over a small tray with three different salsas: a green salsa, a spicy red one and chimichurri. A small basket with bread and chips was also brought out. Then we ordered mollejas (sweet breads) and provoleta cheer with Argentinian chorizo as appetizers. The mollejas were delicious!! A must have!! Then the main course: bife de lomo (they have two sizes, go for the smaller one - it is enough) and an arrachera which was tasty too. Sides we ordered mashed potatoes, asparagus with shredded cheese in top and a cream of spinach. Mashed potatoes and the asparagus where the star of the side dishes. No room for dessert unfortunately so when we come back, we will have to get that.

I really loved the ambiance of this restaurant. It was very well decorated with two floors. However the food was just ok it was nothing like asado from Argentina or Argentinian food in the US. The service was very good though which I would expect because there was hardly anyone there. I would recommend this restaurant for drinks only and for their empanadas. They had good music and a dj there.

This place has an authentic Argentine parrilla and does up a pretty good meal. I had the Pechuga Chimichurri and it was very good.

I conducted my search, finding a few places online trying to locate a good spot in a city I've never visited. Gardela stood out immediately because of their communication, kindness, and dedication to making this event extra special for him and his friends. They truly created and planned the perfect event for the group and I truly could not be more grateful. Onto the food (their honest reviews)! They said it was a 11/10 dining experience overall. The food was incredible and amazing and these are some food critics traveling from major foodie cities. They planned a beautiful menu with Chicken Tortilla Soup, a variety of Empanadas, Picaña Steak and Skirt Steak, and Peasant Salad and Fries as sides. They said the soup was super delicious and flavorful. They said the steak was absolutely phenomenal and tender, it was very high quality meat. Also the salad really stood out as it was super fresh and crisp. Then they plated a beautiful dessert assortment as well as well as special happy birthday and bachelor messages to make the celebration extra special. The cocktails were also super delicious as well. They left the meal with their hearts and bellies very full. From everything, from the planning, to the the presentation of food, the service, and food quality, the team at Gardela went above and beyond. I really could not have picked a better place and now I am jealous because I need to go try some of the steaks because they had my mouth watering! Overall, I would highly recommend going to this restaurant. They said they were seated in a private room too so it made the experience even more special. My sincerest thank you to the entire team at Gardela for making this event unforgettable!

The first night we focused on the steaks and they were absolutely delicious. Great quality meat, perfectly cooked, and full of flavor. The next night we came back and tried the pizza, which had a very authentic South American flavor and was just as enjoyable in a completely different way. The brisket tacos were also really good! Service was very good throughout, friendly, attentive, and professional without being overbearing. The wine list is extensive and impressive, with lots of excellent options from Argentina and Chile that pair perfectly with the food. Prices were very reasonable for the quality. Reservations are highly recommended because the restaurant gets busy. Another plus is the location, it is within walking distance of many hotels, including the Four Points by Sheraton. Excellent spot and absolutely worth repeating, clearly proven by the fact that we did.

The location of…read morethis restaurant is very convenient if you're in the Polanco neighborhood, which was why we chose it (sheer laziness), but it turned out to be a great choice overall. Cambalache is an Argentine steakhouse, which is reflected in the style of grilling their meats (over an open flame, which can be viewed at the back of the restaurant), and the service of the meat itself (a La plancha, at the table). We chose the ribeye (600-700g) to share. It was perfectly cooked to medium temperature, and sliced for us tableside. A beautiful cut of meat, and very flavorful. The side dishes were tasty, too (the soufflé potatoes are a signature, and they're fun to try/share). Speaking of tableside prep, I highly recommend saving room for the strawberries Romanoff - our server spent about 20 minutes whipping a combination of vanilla Haagen Dazs, Grand Marnier, cream, and fresh-sliced strawberries into a fluffy concoction that was divinely yummy. Our youngest diner insisted on coming back to Cambalache a second time, a week later, just to have it again. It's not on the regular postre menu, so be sure to ask your server about it.

He wanted to get his tip out of me as the restaurant was empty on 8/21/22 around 5:30pm when I had dinner. The grilled octopus was what I wanted as the chef got it perfectly done. The malbec was just so-so nothing to write home about. The service was exceptional throughout until I received my check. I specficially asked the waiter to canceled my grilled vegetable order as the octopus was way too much for me. I didn't cancel in time as I told the manager what happened and the manager still billed me for it. I told the waiter I wanted to pay using my credit card but demanded the credit card machine convert to US Dollars so I don't get billed for the foreign currency fee of 3% on my credit card. The waiter lied to me as I used google translate and I was pissed off. Therefore, his tip was only 10% and he said in Spanish not enough. I told him service was great but I never touched the grilled vegetables as he insisted I order something else on the menu. I ended up paying Mexican pesos for my dinner. I'm disappointed that the manager still insisted I pay for my grilled vegetables when I didn't even touch it as I stated I wanted to canceled but the waiter refused to do it. Lesson learned here - if restaurant staff understands English better than language barrier as manager had limited English too. That's why I'm writing this review as atmosphere beautiful but staff not willing work with customer.

We came to this small Argentine restaurant on Sunday night -- the two other restaurants we had selected ahead of it were closed. What a pleasant surprise for a third choice! The place is tiny but tastefully decorated. It looks like a coffee shop from the outside, so don't miss it. Once inside, the aroma of grilled meat and good food are almost overwhelmingly delicious. We did not have steaks this time around -- we weren't that hungry. Instead, we split some empanadas, fries, and a salad. The empanadas were chistorra and cheese, ground beef, and spinach and corn. They were all excellent -- hot, flaky, and flavorful. The fries were also good and crisp, and my wife loved the simple mixed greens salad. We also had some good, inexpensive wine. Everything was served cheerfully by the friendly staff. You can see the grill from the dining room, and all the other diners seemed to really enjoy their steaks. They did look delicious! It was pretty cool seeing people tuck into the 400g portions with gusto. From what I saw, nobody left with doggie bags. I'm definitely coming back for one of those bad boys! All around, Blah Blah is a cozy gem in Zona Rosa. Be sure to check them out, just don't miss it!
