2016 Porsche Cayman GT4.... Manual too?1?!?! No PDK = Adrenaline overload!!!!!! Engine roared as though a beast has been unleashed. Sweeet!!! Hubby was doing some research online for this vehicle, emails and calls went out, and of course with an email going to Porsche of Main Line. Some time go by, and Adam replied to the email. From that point on, Adam was our go to person. Drove to Porsche to make a deposit. The staff were all very friendly and smiled throughout, no cocky people (when we had visited Mercedes, Aston Martin., they didn't bother to look and greet), So seeing a friendly staff is a plus!!! Adams been great from start to end. Always on top of things, extremely helpful and courteous. He checked in with the Mr from time to time thru email, text, and phone calls. Been on the waiting list for 10months... Paperwork process took maybe an hour? No hassle. Straight to the point. Overall, it was very smooth. Their design area is one of a kind! From there, you select your color options, fabric material, rims, etc. It could also be displayed on the tv screen once your options are put thru. They also have a fancy coffee lounge!!! Coffee, tea, snack, espresso!!! I did say once before.. There are plenty of other fishes in the sea. Just because the last dealership didn't go thru, doesn't mean it's the same for every other place. Called the parts department to buy 4 fuel injectors. Guy asked for "the" part number. I read him the part # clearly written on the side of the injectors. He said it was not a Porsche part #, but he didn't ask for a Porsche part number, he asked me for "the" part #. I told him "yes, this is a Bosch fuel injector, not Porsche". He then asked for my VIN. I didn't have it with me, he then said he couldn't help me. He is just a lazy jerk since I know for a fact he can look it up by year/make/model. Don't bother trying to get a part here unless you like to be treated like s**t by an uneducated parts jockey. Maybe he was worried that he wouldn't know what the part looked like in the parts bin since they don't let him work in the garage. He didn't even know that Porsche uses Bosch injectors, they aren't made by Porsche! read more

I have been a customer of Porsche of the Main Line (POTML) for 15 years. I have always had good service except for the past two years. The most recent incident occurred when I asked POTML to look into a grinding noise coming from a wheel on my car. That was the reason for the appointment. Spoiler alert - another mechanic at Midas diagnosed the grinding as a bad ABS part that only was $150 to fix. POTML charged me $5900 to allegedly make the same repair. POMTL had my car for a week before they even looked at it. That's a minor issue compared to what happened next. They did a work to address the grinding noise is what they said. After giving POTML a $5900 check guess what happened next... the first moment I drove my car the grinding noise was still there. What would you do if you were POTML? I'd offer to pick up my car and get it actually fixed this time and tell the consumer we can settle up when all repairs are complete. (Remember, I'm 15-year long customer and have paid them tens of thousands of dollars in repair over the years.) That's not what POTML did. Their lawyer sent me a threatening letter. I tried to make it clear that I am only withholding payment until my car is fixed correctly. That fell on deaf ears apparently. Their lawyer, Micheal Menkowitz, yelled at me over the phone like a debt collect would. He would not listen to my point-of-view. When I tried to explain myself, he would speak over me the way a child would argue. He then bragged that his hourly rate is $1000 and he'll never be fired by POTML. He then threatened to have me arrested, put me in jail, and put a lien on my home. I spoke with my own attorney next and was told none of that was true, or even legal. I am now waiting for my opportunity to have my story heard by a mediator first. I actually hope it does go to a judge because that will further document this horrendous treatment. I feel personally hurt because I consider POTML "My Dealer". What a fool I was for thinking a capitalist business cares about one person. If you walk into the dealership at POTML, they will tell you how awesome they are. They will point to framed certificates stating awards they have won. Do yourself a favor and look at the date on those awards, and then ask POTML what they have done lately for their customers. read more

I just had the utmost worst dialogue with Tim Grape. He is the internet manager full of hubris bravado and himself. It asked me to make an offer, and I did, however it was not to his liking. One of the poorest buying experience dealing with a supposedly high end dealer. Mike Payne responded to my inquiry very quickly. He stated that I was the first person contacting about the car and the car was not ready yet and needed to go through inspection. Given the low miles and my familiarity with the make and model, I offered to put down a deposit while the car went through the vetting process but Mike assured me there was no need for a deposit and that I would be given first right of refusal. Days went by and Mike passed me over to Frank Kelly and the car was still stuck at inspection. 6 days after my inquiry, Frank texted me at 8 AM PDT to inform me the car was ready (I am a remote buyer) and we were going through the motions to finish the deal before noon when Frank told me the car was sold at 11 AM! This was very unprofessional and quite dishonorable, given the promises made to me, and after I waited 6 days to get the car through inspection. The dealership could not wait a couple of hours to make a deal with me! I spoke to Tim Grape, who falsely informed me of being the manager of the pre-owned department (and being the guy that sold the car to someone else it seemed), to go over my unhappiness about how unprofessionally my business was handled. Tim was basically useless, spoke like a robot, had zero concern or empathy , and sounded more like a cheap, used car lot salesman from a few decades ago. I contacted the GM, John Hediger, myself after the staff dragged their foot to connect me with him, and he was very casual about this and sort of said "c'est la vie" these days (in the car business) and that I expected perhaps too much. I am very saddened that John believes and stated that I should have expected a lot less from his staff. My business was handled very dishonorably and I would absolutely suggest others to look at alternative options to avoid dealing with John, Tim and their admittedly "inferior" team of unprofessionals! read more

Integrity. Honesty. Customer Service. These are all words that mean nothing to the associates of this dealership. If you think that purchasing a "Certified Pre-Owned Porsche" from an authorized Porsche dealership would be a safe way to get a vehicle, you are mistaken. I found out the hard way that nothing could be further from the truth. I purchased a car from Porsche of the Main Line and had it shipped to my house in Seattle. Upon receiving the car, I noticed a severe wobble when braking. I took it to my local dealership, where they told me that the rotors were warped and the brakes were worn. This was on a car that supposedly passed the 111 point CPO inspection. Other issues that the car had included a dead battery that needed replacing, a windshield wiper motor was DOA, and the car was even low on oil. Does this sound like a car that was "Certified"? When contacting the dealership about the brakes, they initially ignored me, denied any problems, and wasted my time. Even after providing documented proof of the needed repairs from my local dealership they still refused to cover the cost of the necessary repairs in order to bring the car up to a driveable condition. I tried resolving this with them for over a month, dealing with the salesman, pre-owned manager, service manager, and GM, all of which either ignored me or just gave me the run around. The car has now been sitting for over a month while my attorney and I are finalizing our lawsuit against the dealership. Avoid this dealership at all costs. read more

Beware of Porsche of the Main Line -- EXTREMELY disappointed. Experiences in April 20 1. Approximately one month following my oil change at Porsche of the Main Line, my car began stalling. As it was unreliable to drive, I had it flat bedded to my home. Upon its arrival to our local Porsche dealership, it was determined that the stalling was caused by an unsecured placement of the oil cap, which caused oil to leak out. The car was fully inspected and everything else remained satisfactory. I am extremely dismayed by the service I have received, as I expect a $392.54 oil change to include properly closing my oil cap!!!!!!! 2. Additionally, I find it very interesting that the motor mount that staff at Porsche of the Main Line stressed that I needed to replace (about $1000 in costs) was also regarded as perfectly satisfactory at my local dealership. 3. I was advised that a specific part associated with my motor mount needed to be replaced -- but as my car is a 2006, that part was never in my car to begin with! This dealership is definitely trying to milk you for all they can get!!! 4. Unreliable -- came to pick up my car 4 hours after our scheduled time, and that was after they called me in the morning to confirm an INCORRECT time (which I corrected). I figured after we set things straight that morning, there is no way they could mess up the time again... I was wrong. read more
