Don't waste your precious time! Run, do not walk away from this dealership! Blatant BAIT & SWITCH! I had an appointment to meet with Ryan yesterday to do a test drive on a "specific" car. I received a confirmation text one hour before my appt. When I arrived it quickly became very clear to me at the car I was to 'test 'drive' was not there. The first clue was when ryan showed me the carfax report & it showed the "trim" was "premium" not "Touring". It then showed the interior was "black" not "brown". When I questioned ryan about that, he assured me that it was in fact brown & the carfax report was not correct!! After then wasting even more of my time ( i won't bore you with the details), when he escorted me out to the lot to do the test drive, i immediately saw that the interior was in fact, black, at which point I handed the keys back to him and said, I was no longer interested not only in the car, but in their dealership in general. BUYER BEWARE As a follow-up to my already terrible experience with Auto Lenders, I can confidently say this was the worst service I have ever received from any business. After knowingly selling me a lemon--a vehicle that was supposedly "certified safe"--the car completely broke down after just 25 miles. It was totaled and required a new engine. For two weeks, I was left without a vehicle while dealing with corporate. They eventually told me I could swap for another car, but when I went to look at a similar vehicle (same year, same model, fewer miles, and only slightly more expensive), things somehow got even worse. Not only did they barely offer me any discount after what they put me through, but I couldn't even bring myself to test-drive the car because of a glaring issue. Here's the kicker: the dealership's sticker, which is usually placed in the bottom left corner of their vehicles, was instead deliberately placed in the top left corner. Why? To cover up paint and body damage. This was an intentional act to deceive potential buyers. How can you trust a business like this? You simply can't. They actively try to hide damage, clear engine codes, and sell you dangerous vehicles under the guise of being "certified." It took over a month--from October 17th to November 19th--just to get reimbursed for my down payment after returning the vehicle. This experience was not just frustrating; it was outrageous. Now that the deal is undone, I can assure you that I will not let this happen to other consumers. I will be taking my story to the news, the Better Business Bureau, and the Office of the Attorney General's Bureau of Consumer Protection to expose the unethical and unsafe practices of Auto Lenders. Avoid this business at all costs. They are not trustworthy, and their practices are downright dangerous. Protect yourself and your wallet. FIRST REVIEW I recently purchased a 2021 Ram 1500 from Auto Lenders in Exton, and while the initial experience with the salesman, Mike, was smooth and efficient, everything fell apart just 18 hours later. The next morning, with only 25 miles on the truck, the check engine light came on, indicating an engine problem. When I returned to the dealership, I spoke with the service tech, who casually admitted, "That was the truck that needed to go back to the dealership." He went on to explain that they had cleared the code and hoped the issue would "resolve itself"--completely unacceptable! Why any reputable dealership would knowingly sell a vehicle with an engine issue is beyond me. The manager, John Schwartz, was no help either. He essentially put the problem back in my hands, stating that the dealership's departments don't communicate with each other, so the salesman wouldn't have known about the issue. This kind of disorganization is shocking, and it makes me wonder how many other vehicles they've sold with problems like this. Even worse, John told me I needed to make an appointment at a Ram dealership to resolve the issue, offering no assistance, no courtesy vehicle, and no loaner car. If there were negative stars I would give them. We were told that they would email all of the loan paperwork and everything, and we never got anything. I have called so many times and my lawyer has called requesting it and oh we will send it and nothing. We didn't even have our car a week and it was being towed. Engine light is on every other week with some high priced fix. We were talked into the extended warranty that covered nothing that was wrong. I still haven't been able to drive this car without it breaking down for more than a week. We brought it into the garage there and they tell us it is an old code only to have it break down a couple days later and find out it wasn't an old code. It was a high price fix. The last code will cost us $3000 to fix and when they pulled the records on the codes from the machine we found that they were clearing this code even before we bought the car!! We were told this was the only car that they could get a loan approved for, we had to take this one. We were without a car so we took it. Boy did they see us coming. We have been trying to sue them for deception but can't get ANY paperwork on the car to proceed. It is ridiculous. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. read more

Updated: I will give credit that they reached out immediately after the Yelp was posted from Corporate. That was appreciated but not enough to get me to return to the Exton Service location. I agreed to try Another location going forward. Will update and hoping for a positive experience and by that I only mean uneventful. Here we go again. Brought car in for inspection. The failed it because of a license plate lamp and squeaky wipers. They were supposed to call with the part number for the lamp and never did. I replaced lamp and wipers and came in for verification and sticker. They said car needs entire reinspection. A week and a half after they inspected it. When I questioned it they reversed and said only that part need to be reinspected but not sure when they would get to it...what is the appointment for? I asked for the name of the person in charge they said no one is in charge. . I'm sure that's why service doesn't matter here at all. I stated never mind I would call Corporate and be if the people laughing at me with Dana said he is from Corporate how can he help after he was waiting on me the whole time. I guess they think it is funny to lie to customers and then laugh when they call them on it. Funny my fiancé was looking at a trucks here over the weekend. Not buying from here again. read more

Pros- Vehicle price was solid, rate from CU was solid. I am happy with the actual purchase of the vehicle itself. So-So - Despite all the attempts to present itself as a Carmax type no haggle, no hassle sale, I still had to re-focus the staff on my total financed and not a monthly payment. Had to sit through a 4 box......initial rates they offered to me were an insult. Had to threaten to walk to get the rate I ended up agreeing to. Trade in number was substantially less than the automated email system offered. Cons - AGGRESSIVE sale of the vehicle service contract. To the point where you feel like you aren't allowed to leave without it. Cancelling it is a massive PITA. No different than a sleazy captive new car dealer. Wonderful, but a shame it has to get there - Corporate rep was outstanding at empathizing with my issues and getting a resolution. read more

UPDATE to negative review after receiving unacceptable service at the Auto Lenders Exton location- I received a call from the corporate office in NJ, and they were initially willing to do very little to help. Then, I received a call from the manager Nikolas. He was very kind, helpful, and got the ball rolling to fix everything to my satisfaction (and condition the vehicle should have been when purchased).. Thanks to Nick, Auto Lenders will retain a valuable customer, unlike they are able to do with their employees at the Exton location since its opening 3+ years ago. Nick was aware of this problem and provided me with his personal contact information for sales and service. Although this will be a couple week process to to get everything right (not all of which is Auto Lenders fault), I have removed the negative review after receiving such great care from Nick, and will now give Auto Lenders a second chance. If there are any changes, I will update this review as we begin the complicated process to make everything right, but am confident after speaking with Nick. I took my dad here to get his dream car. We purchased the car and it's a lemon. It hasn't even been two months of my dad having the car and it has already broken down twice. The sales person who sold us the vehicle I believe they fired. They haven't even sent the registration for the car. They told us that the warranty on the vehicle was for 6,000 miles then turned around and said it was 5 years. My dad has been there 3 times because of the check engine light. Every single time they told him they fixed everything but just turned the check engine light off and gave him back the car. The whole time there was a leak in the coolant system that they didn't fix. We've contacted them multiple times and now they are saying nothing is covered under the warranty. Now my dad is left on the side of the turnpike because of their lack of service. And a high bill to tow the vehicle back to Auto Lenders. Thank you but no thank you. read more

While the purchase experience was smooth, it was not perfect. I was Allie to take the car without an inspection being completed so I had to bring it back, which really was not the end of the world. A few weeks later i took out the second key fob and realized it was missing a part. I called customer service, who punted me back to my local location. When I spoke to service, they punted me back to my sales rep, who basically said I'm SoL, there was nothing they could or would do and suggested I reach out to a dealer to order a new key On my own dime. I'm pretty disappointed in this treatment. I won't entertain purchasing from auto lenders again. Also beware of the forceful tactics to purchase extended warranty's. It's big at auto lenders. Purchased a 2018 Honda Odyssey with Chang at the Exton location and the sales process was very smooth. They offered more money for my trade-in than with CarMax so I traded my car in with Auto Lenders. After a week or two, I noticied minor issues with the minivan and the service department took care of it quickly (at no cost to me). They replaced windshield wipers for me, replaced all 4 brake rotors due to a high pitched brake squeal that occurs at times, and my first oil change was free. Where do I begin... started the process with a sales rep on tuesday. After test driving a few vehicles we went back to his desk to go over a few things. While this was occurring the rep ran my credit without making me aware or asking for permission, we hadn't even told him we were interested in purchasing one of their vehicles. After the sales rep and his boss found out we were just shopping around, they both became very hostile and accusatory. After 30 minutes of trying to leave we finally got out. For the next two days i received numerous threatening phone calls and text messages of the "manager" (who ended up not even being the manager) of him trying to convince me to spend $16,000 more then what i told him i had a budget for. Numerous times i explained my budget and he refused to listen to me and would constantly talk over me and talk down to me as a young female. Also, he refused to provide us with any break downs of cost for three days straight until my boyfriend pried it out of him. I told the "manager" multiple times we were not interested in working with them any further and he would not stop calling me. He made numerous rude and unprofessional remarks about my budget and again was very predatory. The entire experience was so frustrating, overwhelming & outright unprofessional. Not to mention 3 out of the 4 cars we test drove had tire pressure lights on, we're leaking oil and one that had terrible breaks. I would not recommend this to anyone. When purchasing my vehicle the experience of course was great. The service department HOWEVER HORRIBLE took my vehicle to get serviced there everyone knew what was going on with my vehicle except me. They ran a diagnostic test for $800 told me I need a new engine that would cost $18,000 wrote up to the warranty company I was not getting my vehicle serviced because I choose another place to get serviced that was more convenient for my busy schedule . So I took my car somewhere else they looked at it actually did the work not just ran a test and the vehicle runs just fine. No new engine needed. I called and spoke with someone in that department because this was a case of typical you need a man to go with you or they will tell you anything smh but after the conversation I could tell she was full of it to. That would be the same as someone coming to my office for a stomach bug and I tell them they have cancer EXTREMELY horrific and unacceptable. A lot of ASSUMPTIONS went on in my case my car sat for days even with an appointment main reason why I was going elsewhere I would not recommend this place to nobody very unprofessional and write up something without even talking to me oh wait did I mention that they released my vehicle to who they ASSUMED was my husband and it wasn't but without confirming it with me read more

I purchased a used car from this dealership. Within one month the engine had a timing problem which required the engine to be replaced. The dealer purchased a used replacement engine without obtaining any paperwork on the replacement engine. After it was installed other issue developed which required further maintenance. There were non stop repairs with this vehicle that has caused us to not be able to drive the vehicle for the majority of time that we have had this vehicle. After speaking to the service manager replacing engines at this dealership seems to be a common weekly practice. Buyers beware if you purchase a car from this dealership. read more

Worst car buying experience I've ever had. Where do I begin... They were dishonest about "sap" on the car. Turned out underneath so called sap were chips in the paint that they would not fix. They told me to bring it in and they would take care of it, but they did nothing. The first time I went to test drive the car it was about to rain. They told me they needed to change the windshield wipers so it was not safe to drive at the moment. When I finally purchased the car after the first rain the car leaked and flooded. They did fix it after I was adamant about it, but it was clear that they knew this issue ahead of the sale. They are selling cars with known issues...the first car I test drove had vibration in the seat and steering wheel at 50mph. If I hadn't asked to drive the car home I would've never known about it. They had someone drive the car from NJ that morning so they obviously knew of the problem, but did not disclose it. They even tried to prevent me from driving it on the highway. Since it does not give the option for zero, I guess I have to give one. Bought a 2018 white Honda Odyssey EX-L from the exton location. Red flag number one was when one of the sliding doors would not unlock. We bought with agreement that autolenders would pay to fix the door. Come to find out the van had extensive water damage and rust behind the door and in the trunk, and Honda dealer told us it was likely in an accident and had major electrical issues. We believe our salesman, Jeff, was aware of this being he told us at least ten times he recommends purchasing the extended electrical warranty. Nonetheless, they told us they would swap it out for another just like it. However, when the employees who told us when we bought it that they'd take it back if a severe issue was found, suddenly became unresponsive. That would be Juan in finance, and Jerry in service. Doug in service told us he would be sure to inspect a similar odyssey, and that he would "take it from here, and complete the touchdown play!". Then proceeded to ignore calls and messages, and when we drove back to dealership the van had smoker smell and had clearly been in an accident. Yasir, who is also apparently a "manager" said he would personally inspect the van and even do a water test on it. However, just like the rest of these guys he ignored calls and messages. There was overspray all over the body, and was on similar vans as well. The bumper had clearly had work done to it. Their customer service is laughable at best. They reel you in and make you think they are so friendly and will take care of you, then when a problem arises it's crickets. Let it be known that apparently everyone there is a manager, until they give up with persistence and reveal they are not a manager. Shame on them for knowingly selling an unsafe car to a young family with young children. I firmly believe these guys purchase cars that were in accidents, then fix them under the radar so it does not appear on carfax then resell. I should add that we told them how we had bought a car with water damage in the past, and were paranoid of that and that's why we spent so much time inspecting the vehicle (there were no signs, the vehicle was actually flawless), and they all assured us they do their "120 point inspection" and have never had issues. They did finally make it right by buying the van back from us, however it took a whole day at the dealership of them trying to force us into one of their other cars. Arrived at this location and was interested in test driving a vehicle. Was able to test drive the vehicle I was interested in all was good there. I had them give me a trade in offer, the guy asked me how much I was looking to get and after telling him he laughed. Moving forward we did all the numbers and my wife and I were asking questions. Every time my wife asked a question the guy was very rude to her and made it clear that she wasn't going to be on the title and I was pretty much telling her to shut up. The sales guy was very rude and unprofessional. Asked to speak to my wife privately and the sales guy followed us around like a puppy dog. I was on the phone and he had the decency to ask me who I was talking to, like it was any of his business to begin with. He continued to talk over me as I'm on the phone so I had to walk outside. After talking numbers with my wife, he continued to ask "so do I have a deal or what?". He gave me my trade in value which wasn't the best but he kept criticizing my vehicle and picking it apart. He continued to try to get me to sign papers saying the deal was final. After some negotiations, I did purchase the vehicle. He than says it will need inspection stickers because it didn't have any and apparently the gas stations around are not open so he can't fill the tank (this was at 6pm). He asked me to come back and they would put stickers on and fill my tank up. So confused because there is a wawa close by that was open. I asked for this in writing and he stated that "they didn't do that". It was the most stressed out I have ever been trying to buy a vehicle. Never will I go to this place again and I recommend that you do not come here, take the extra time to drive to a reliable dealership with great communication and customer service skills. read more

I bought a car that happened to have a fault on the dashboard. Shame on me I guess but I was given an I owe you to have it fixed and was promised resolution so i suppose typical sales rep swindle. I have spent the past two weeks calling them to schedule this and I continue to get avoided. Voice mails have been left with the service manager who calls no one back, and I've since spoken to the sales rep again as well as the store manager. I get no calls back. So a week ago I attempted to use their EXPRESS buying system! Supposedly you pick your car, buy online and pick it up! Well thats a flat out lie!! I called them to pay and they WOULDN'T let me! Yep! WOULDN'T let me! Told me they don't do express and I had to come into the dealership 4 hours away! There was no way I could purchase the car any other way!! So it was a week of back and forth nagging ect ect - I tried every way possible to buy online and have transport pick it up and all my offers were refused! So we just couldn't make it in that weekend and rescheduled for the following weekend ...In the meantime they kept lowering the price of the car!! I offered to pay them $15,000 a week before when they wouldn't let me! Then they lowered it to $14,495 ....then Monday at 4am for no reason to $14,295!! Then low and behold I get a call today its sold to someone else!! I believe they were trying to sell it before we got there to someone else for spite! Theres no other reason! These jerks literally lost the company $500 for no reason whatsoever!! I never haggled the price!!! Idiots!!! The express buy/free ship on cargurus is FALSE ADVERTISING! The little video and site for express buying does NOTHING!! Its useless!! They need to stop advertising free shipping to Pittsburgh because thats a lie!! And if I were the owner??
