Vastly improved experience from the old days. Have no clue if Penske has always owned this dealership or took over since I began using this location over 20 years ago now but it's really top notch. Service is in a completely different complex no more than 10 minutes away from the dealership and is state of the art - futuristic almost. They did a great job with it. My parents needed a replacement SUV after almost 12 years in a Rover which was beginning to be a bit problematic. A good friend of mine in the area recommended they try Porsche Fairfield and I am pleased to say my friend was not wrong. Leonel and Albert were my parent's brand ambassadors during their initial visit/test drive to see if a Macan was right for them while I assisted afterwards on the purchase via phone/email. My parents did end up purchasing a Macan and we honestly can't say enough good things about Leonel and Albert. In addition to their friendly demeanor, they were knowledgable, responsive and easy to work with. They wanted to get a deal done that worked for both parties. Stock was limited this time of year, however they did have something that was fairly close to my parent's "ideal" Macan so we went with that vs. custom ordering something. After working with another Porsche dealer service department for 15 years, I finally tried Porsche Fairfield. I was at my wits end and was going to abandon the brand entirely - makes no difference if you like the cars but cannot get them serviced or, through experience, don't trust the service. Porsche Fairfield is phenomenal. Devoted to top-quality service and trust. May stay with Porsche a while longer, unless they go all-electric. Once in a while, you need to shout out to really exceptional customer service. I was at Porsche Fairfield not to buy a Porsche, a but a used 2017 Wrangler. As soon as I walked in the door, my key was taken and the used car sales manager, Hector Hernandez, came out to see me to appraise my trade-in. After we did the walk-around, I was introduced to the salesperson, Leonel Rodriguez. Having purchased a number of cars, I came in equipped with the typical KBB and Edmunds information. Leonel and I sat down and walked through what I was looking for. At this point, I should note that I had been to a different dealer earlier in the day, looking at a similarly equipped Wrangler with lower miles and a significantly higher price tag. The car was in bad condition, featuring rusty floor bolts, rusty door hinges, scratches and gouges on the body, and wheels on which the chrome was bubbling and flaking. What a difference being in the Porsche Fairfield dealership made. While I had been at the other dealership for the better part of two hours (and that was not haggling--I just had to wait long periods for numbers to be run), the whole thing, including the test drive with Leonel, took an hour. Between the condition of the vehicle, the agreed-upon price, and the treatment I received from everyone, including Melby at the front desk, I couldn't be happier with the buying experience at Porsche Fairfield. read more

Two words: Malachy Tracey. Best car salesperson ever. I've been buying high-end cars for more than 30 years and I've never encountered someone as knowledgeable and enjoyable to work with as Malachy. I first got to know him 15 years ago when he was at the Porsche dealer in Danbury, and because of him I purchased my first Porsche. No one has the enthusiasm and ability to cut through all the nonsense the way Malachy does. I'd follow him to any dealer he moved to, he's that good. I am a 2X Porsche of Fairfield client. '07 CPO Boxster S and a 2015 Macan Turbo. I was refered to them by a friend. Based on his experience, excellent product presentation, sales process and customer care were expected. I am happy to report that they have been exceeded in ALL of these areas. Recently the Boxster developed an exhaust and emissions related problem. These issues (check engine lights..etc) can be difficult to pinpoint at times. To my delight the problems were diagnosed correctly, quickly and professionally. Reps Kenny Banks and service manager James Merino excelled throughout the whole experience. The estimate for repairs was competitive and the work was done on time. Had the pleasure of helping my father-in-law purchase his first air-cooled 911. Best Porsche experience I have had thus far. Ever since being a kid, I dreamed of owning a Porsche 911. When I could finally afford my first used one, the experience I had at another Porsche Dealer was very uneventful. The salesman didnt really listen, didnt want to negotiate, and at the end of the day just handed me off to close the sale. When I went looking at other dealerships, no one would acknowledge me on the sales floor. I guess I don't have that look that some hone in on. I can say, I've visited a lot of Porsche dealerships and this one has hands down made an impression I would never forget. I am not even local to the area, but they had the car I wanted and their pricing close to what I could afford. After speaking with their sales team, the ease of negotiations made me come here from VA. They didn't give me a sales pitch on the dealership, priced to sell or try to sell me up on additional services. Just a great overall and easy experience. I do want to point out that Tony is the man and a great closer. Kind, funny, listens, family oriented and just knows how to treat people with respect. He was willing to work with me to get me the best deal I could get. Something that lacks from other dealerships in the MD/VA area. Hector was also willing to hear me out and address all my concerns. Gave me an honest and fair price upfront, no haggling necessary. Was truthful about the car, looked into details I needed and provided solutions to concerns I had about vehicle transportation, car features, etc. And Albert, the original sales guy, following through from beginning to end. I can't say enough positive things about this place. I am looking forward to getting my 911 here in the future and bringing the wife so she can see how much different the experience is compared to others. I should mention, they have an awesome show room as well. Some really sick classics mixed in with cars out of reach for most of us lol. The worst experience I ever had. Their service department is bar none the worst. Had a defective tire on a car that I bought there, and would not honor the warranty and replace it. Have had better service at a Chevy dealer when I had a similar problem. They swapped it out without any questions. I expected more from a Porsche dealer but obviously not from them. They don't care. I just purchased a CPO 911 from the guys here and they managed to fix up a issue for me concerning the sale in no time flat. Walked in after seeing a price online for the car, did a quick test drive and bought it the next day. The issue was that the CPO certification was not done correctly as it was CPO'ed under a previous owner and it only had 1 yr 3 months left on the warranty vs the full 2 years. After contacting them concerning this discrepancy, Mauricio, Mikey, and Ferdinando reset the warranty to reflect the full 2 years for me. All in all a great job taking care of me and I am very satisfied with their sales process. read more

My sales person Albert was great I live on Long Island and drove out the first time to see it liked it and bought it came back a few days later to pick up being I hit tons of traffic going the first time I elected to take the ferry over and Albert offed to pick me up saved me tons of time. I also want to do a shout out to Melby Chow she was working the front desk when you walk in she is by so professional she greeted my with a smile and helped me right away even though she was very busy. ( I have had a few different experiences with Porsche of Fairfield. Some great, one not so good. In the end, I think they really did try hard respond to my complaint. My first review was 3 * and my second would be 5 *, so I decided to write one long review and average them to 4*. Below is my long review, which I hope is helpful to some people.) Original Review: Overall, not a good experience. My sales person was Jose. He seemed a good salesperson: informative and helpful but no pressure. I test drove a couple cars. Upon leaving, I inquired about a car that I thought my wife would like but I thought the price was too high. He mentioned that they don't have much pricing room, however, a few days later he emailed me that he had spoken to his sales manager and that they could meet my price and that I should have my wife come in for a test drive. My wife and I headed up a couple days later and she tried out the car. She liked it so the next day I decided to try to buy the car. Jose had left for vacation and he mentioned I should deal directly with the sales manager, Ferdinando, and that is where the problems started. Aside from being unresponsive to emails, Ferdinando has a terrible attitude towards customers. Since he didn't respond to his email I gave him a call. Upon getting on the phone I had to listen to him complain that he was out the previous day and "I have 200 emails and I am "too busy" to respond".  Then he said "besides we aren't close on price" and "I can sell that car for more".  He then proceeded to give me a lecture about how he sold a similar car at a higher price to another person. This is after Jose said it had been discussed and were already close on price. At the end of our conversation, Ferdinando said he would look at my email and get back to me. He never did. Next day, I bought a car from another Porsche dealer who doesn't jerk their customers around and doesn't waste time. I'm not sure what the miscommunication was between Jose and Ferdinando but it shouldn't have become the customer's problem. They still have the car I was looking at and they have lowered the price twice online. Meanwhile, I'm driving around in a car from another Porsche dealer that I should have gone to in the first place. (the one I gave a 5 star review). Update: As a follow up to my review I was contacted by the General Manager, Mauricio. He looked into my situation and seemed genuinely interested. Obviously, I had already bought a car elsewhere but this effort showed me they were paying attention to customer's concerns. I have updated my review to something more neutral. On a positive note, Fairfield Porsche has a great showroom and good inventory. My SA, Jose, was very good and I could not have asked for more attention while not overbearing in any way. (vacation is just life so that is not an issue to me. Pretty sure if he had stayed we would have had a deal satisfactory for both of us.) Mauricio and I agreed the handoff could have been handled better but, notwithstanding, I will give them another try in the future. I can recommend trying to work with either Jose or Mauricio. I also met two other staff members when I was there and they were both pleasant and informative. Never made me feel the least uncomfortably or unwelcome while I examined the many cars in the showroom and lot. 2nd Update: 6 months later I brought my Macan GTS, which I bought somewhere else, for service. It was a very easy process and I got 5 star treatment. Much of the arrangements were done by email, which works great for me. No telephone tag, no misunderstandings, ... They were very responsive and great communication. They just picked up my car, performed the service and returned the car with the work done properly. No issues and no hassle. Really couldn't ask for anything more. By the way, the person I had a previous issue with in sales is no longer there. His replacement, who I spoke with, seems very pleasant and agreeable. I'm starting these guys from a clean slate and will use them in the future for service. When I need to buy a new car the will be on my list of folks to talk to. read more

The General Manager of Porsche Fairfield is very reasonable and helpful. I made a grave mistake in leasing a Porsche Macon with only 10,000 miles per annum. Maurizio did what he could to help. But my foolish decision to lease the Porsche haunted me after I used all the miles and more in only 31 months compared to the 39 month contract. In hindsight, it would have been much wiser to finance or buy the car out right than lease it. Porsche leases are expensive compared to similarly priced German luxury cars. read more

Service Advisor Diane Bodge went way beyond the call of duty to get me in a safe car just before a family road trip. My Porsche Macan (which was not purchased there) had an unsafe condition I discovered late on a Saturday morning--the day before our trip. She couldn't fix it that day but she refused to let me drive an unsafe car and at the last minute found a loaner until they could get the car back to me. Needless to say she (and Porsche of Fairfield) have a fan for life. read more

I rarely write reviews but take the time to do so when service is outstanding or exceptionally poor. I bought a 2011 certified pre-owned Porsche Cayenne S (with a little over 39.5k miles) from Porsche of Fairfield in December 2013. I was sold on the fact that: (i) it was a Porsche; and (ii) used Porsches coming off-lease go through a 160-point check before being certified and re-sold. I drove it for two days before it over-heated. These things happen so I brought it into Porsche's service center and they fixed the problem in a few days. They also gave me a loaner car to use so I wasn't without a car. Overall, the service center was very accommodating during my first visit. A few weeks later I noticed that the driver's seat wasn't going back to its proper setting. In addition, I noticed that the satellite stations that I was trying to save on the radio were not "sticking" and I would have to reset them every time I drove the car. Annoying. I brought it back to the service center. After a few days they said that nothing was wrong with the car. Bullsh*t. I took the car back and the problems were still there. I brought it back to the shop again a few weeks later and they discovered that: (i) the seat compressor on the driver's seat was shot and had to be replaced; and (ii) there was a problem with the long-term settings on the radio that had to be re-programmed. Fast forward to today (less than 3 months after I bought the car). The door lock/unlock button on the car does not work when the car is turned off. This is a problem because the 2011 Porsche Cayenne does NOT have a button on the door for unlocking the car. There is only one button on the center console. In addition, the vehicle settings on the car will not allow me to unlock all four doors with the remote. Real pain. I've called the dealership several times to speak with my salesman (Fernando) to complain about the problems. Each time he promises to speak with the GM and will call me back. He has NEVER called me back. Other than the car overheating I think the car is pretty solid mechanically. But the electrical system seems to be cr*p, which is common with German cars but not something I thought would be true of a Porsche. I am now going back to the service center a 4th time in 2.5 months. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND BUYING A USED CAR FROM THIS DEALERSHIP. They only care about making the sale. I find it very hard to believe that all of these problems manifested themselves only after I bought this car. Judging back the lack of ANY response, I am inclined to believe they knew exactly what they were doing. I am going to call the GM and if the problem is not immediately response I am going to go directly a regional supervisor or even Penske Automotive. read more

The single best car purchase experience from start to finish. Admittedly, I was concerned about purchasing a vehicle from a dealership at a distance, especially during a pandemic. Mark worked tirelessly to find my next 911 with my desired package and price and to arrange an easy and streamlined process for closing and pickup. This is the fourth Porsche that we have purchased from a Penske group dealership but the first for us from Porsche Fairfield, CT, a group member outside of our home area of DC, MD, & VA. I enjoyed the experience so much, seeing all the other great models on the floor, talking cars and Porsche with Mark and his team, who share the same love of brand, that it was a bit sad leaving. My wife did not understand how I could stay so long at a dealership. Quite frankly it was easy and fun! As I drove home in my new vehicle and enjoying the solitude of a 5 hour drive in a great machine I was left with the feeling that I can hardly wait to come back in the next year or so to add yet another car. No offense to the other members of the Penske group or other dealers, but take a look at the folks at Porsche Fairfield, a model of service in all respects that is of the highest grade consistent with the brand that they represent. Service Department Rocks !!! My husband and I were traveling from Massachusetts to Florida when a warning light came on that said if our car shut off it would not restart. Faulty warning system did not alarm us sooner so we had no choice but to stop somewhere. We had enough fuel to make it to Fairfield, and stayed there for the night as the dealership was already closed. First thing in the morning we called Porsche roadside assistance and they towed us to the service department. They took us right away, corrected the problem, even washed the car for us. Within an hour we were back on the road to Florida ! No questions asked. They were kind, courteous, friendly, and most of all quick !! Thank you for the amazing service !! Pathetic sales person and dealership. I have had my Porsche serviced at this dealership for many years and the service department is fine. It was time to trade in my car for a newer model and figured I would give them a try (did not buy my last car there) . There was a specific car I was interested in that appeared on their on line inventory but was at an affiliated dealer. I was told on the phone they could get the car for me but they needed $1000 deposit to hold it and start the process of having it sent here. No problem. I then went to the dealership the next day, after spending 45 minutes in traffic and was treated like an idiot. They had me wait a half hour while the GM was supposedly trying to call the dealer and make sure the car was available. Supposedly they never got through , which is an outright lie as you can always get through to car dealerships. Giving them a deposit had no value - and I got no explanation why I was required to do so as they now said they could not start the process until I came in, which I was not told. Of course they made an attempt to sell me a car on the showroom floor (they had tons of cars there) which was much more expensive than the one I wanted. No problem again- I expect the old bait and switch from car salesmen. Salesman said he would call me back the next day with an update. They assessed my old car while I was there and gave me a lousy price - lower than any other dealer had offered me. It's 4 days and i never heard back from anyone. I guess even thought it is 2016, they still think women are not serious car buyers and that we are morons. I was ready to buy a car on the spot. When I was getting annoyed about the length of time it was taking while I was there. the salesman kept telling me to relax - it was "all good". It was not "all good" and I resent being spoken to like I am a simpleton. I am a professional businesswoman, not a teenager. I went to the affiliate dealer in Monmouth NJ and bought the car I wanted - Go to Monmouth - it is worth the drive - had a great experience. But Porsche Fairfield is a joke .
