I had never tried avocado in a soup before until I tried it this way and I fell in love. And can we talk about the salsa they give you as soon as you sit down?! This isn't just your regular chips and salsa situation. It's that molcajete style salsa and they got the GOOD GOOD. I could honestly come here just for the salsa alone. And of course, I have to get their mango margarita with the chamoy and tacos. It's a MUST. The soup, the salsa, the tacos, the margarita... this place just hits every single time. Definitely one of my hidden gems whenever I'm back in Mission!

Server was nice knew what he was asked and if he didn't know he said, he could go ask. Made sure we had everything we needed. Food the cheese enchilada , beef enchiladas , beef taco, burrito, beef tostada, and all sides with drinks were good. The breakfast tacos were good only thing with it was their were to many fries I got corn tortillas so I know they are smaller. But even if I got flour still want less fries. The only bad thing was their chicken flauta. It was dry and chicken had no flavor. It had a nice crunch, Maybe pan fry them in oil with some fat and add more seasoning to the chicken. Overall great place to stop next time we are in McAllen. Ps. Y'all have a nice restroom, shiny clean, smells great, but one of the toilet stalls is crazy small and the door swings in and almost hits the toilet. I saw they also have spirropapas which would make for a way better appetizer. It's nice to see they are doing everything from scratch, you can see into the kitchen just to see how they cook everything. Very nice staff or family I should say. Yelp lists this restaurant as closing at midnight on Saturdays, and the sign on the door says 11:00…read morePM. However, after we were seated on the patio, staff informed us that the kitchen closes at 10:00 PM, which was completely fine. Later, when they came by to ask if we wanted another round of drinks, we were told the bar also closes at 10:00 PM.. Around 10:15 PM, while we were still seated outside, staff locked the restaurant doors and turned off the lights while we were seated on the patio. Shortly afterward, a staff member told us we needed to leave and took our drinks, even though mine was still full. The issue isn't that the kitchen or bar closes at 10:00 PM--it's the lack of clear and consistent communication. If customers are expected to finish up and leave by 10:00 PM, that expectation should be clearly stated online, posted on the door, and communicated upfront when guests are seated. The current closing times are inconsistent and create a confusing and disappointing experience. Also the guac and margarita were lacking.
