I was fairly disappointed after reading such rave reviews about this place. Maybe it's because I like very doughey pizza or maybe it's because of the topping I chose. My husband loved it and said 5 star! He had red sauce, sausage, pepperoni, mushroom and olives. Truth be told, his pizza looked bomb.com! I love fire stone pizza! The crust and sauce were spot in at Porch Light. I wasn't crazy about how thick the jalapeños were cut, how their pepperoni was (maybe they used the hand sliced instead of regular???), and I thought I would get grated parmesan instead of the cheap Kraft powder stuff. The toppings just seemed really sparse on mine. I ordered red sauce, pepperoni, bacon and jalapenos. The bacon was almost nonexistence and what was on there was extremely chewy. Lastly, I was irked that they told us 15 minutes when I called for carry out. Not to mention I had to call 4 times before my call was even answered. My husband arrived 7 minutes after we ordered and it was sitting on the counter. Thank goodness we left when we did! I doubt we will order carry out again. We are definitely going to eat here again, and hopefully I will want to update this to 5 star myself. If it wasn't for my husband loving it, though, I am not sure I would be back. read more

Porch light is a great artisan pizza shop. The pizzas are all personal sized and thin crust cooked in a wood fire oven. They have a great selection of toppings and many of their speciality pizzas sound kinda random but are delicious. My personal favorite is the pulled pork BBQ pizza. Good value for your money. Tasty, handcrafted pizzas that are a decent value and come with friendly service in a hip location. Pretty hard to beat that. I was there during a bit of a rush, but we still got our pizzas in a reasonable amount of time considering they seem to be handmade and have fresh ingredients from bread to toppings. I ordered the "silk" and it was pretty much a perfect balance of sweet-ish Asian peanut/onion flavors with a savory crust and tender chicken. Highly recommended. read more

Really good salads, decent pizzas. I honestly don't get the hype though. My pizza has been burnt a couple of times, they however have really good drinks. The menu is not very big but they will make stuff to order if you just ask. The atmosphere is really nice and cozy, I love the lights and the service. I love this place! The thin crisp pizzas are so delicious but I haven't tried the salads yet. I finally was able to take some time to grab lunch at Porch Light while in Pullman. It was so good! I ordered "The Ben" pizza, a pizza that includes artichoke hearts, fresh basil, fresh tomato and pepperoni. The crust was perfectly crisp and the size was just right for me, although I think people could share. My friend ordered "The Silk", which has peanut sauce. It looked good, but I didn't try it this time. The staff was also incredibly friendly and the restaurant was clean and bright. The prices were also super reasonable! I will definitely be back. Great stop if you want specialty pizza! I went with a few friends on a Friday night. The place was very crowded and we had to wait for someone to leave before we could sit down. Service was pretty quick considering how busy it was. Everything here is a good value! Pizza is very competitively priced and tastes awesome! You can literally customize anything you want about your pizza. I'm looking forward to returning on a week night when it isn't so busy so I can sit and enjoy the atmosphere! read more

Normally I'm a big Porchlight fan, but tonight I ordered a Popeye to go. I got home and found the whole outer crust was burnt black, the spinach was black, the cheese was burnt to a crisp and there was barely any balsamic reduction (my fav part about this pizza). Not sure how they ever let this be served to a customer. It should've been remade; it certainly didn't taste good. This was definitely not up to their standards. So disappointing. read more

Every time I'm in town, I meet up with the same friend at the same table at Porch Light. Their pizzas are delicious, just big enough to eat about 70% and take a slice or two home for later (or just eat it all at once, no judgement). This is the newest addition on the Pullman restaurant scene and things are looking good. I have eaten here 3 times since they opened and the restaurant is quickly shedding the usual opening issues. The pizzas are prepared with incredibly fresh ingredients and the salads are creative and delicious as well. They have a menu of house specialties and a build your own option. The staff is professional and friendly, even in the midst of crazy opening week crowds. There is plenty of seating inside and a nice outdoor seating area for those nice summer days. This is a more local version of Pie-ology or MOD pizza. Toppings were mixed quality. Pepperoni was solid, cheese not as much. Crust ok. It was quick and had a nice atmosphere, but it was pretty cramped for seating (might indicate it is popular). All in all, not bad. read more

My husband and I have been going to Porchlight for the last 2 years and loved it. Just recently we decided to stop in and get a bite to eat and there had been a drastic change in the atmosphere. The food was mediocre, pizza crust was a tad burnt around the edges and the dressing for our salad was at the bottom of the bowl not to mention that the romaine in the salad was going bad with obvious colors of red showing. We threw away more than half the pizza and didn't even touch the salad. The costumer service on the other hand, is a bunch of college students who talked loudly about drugs and other obnoxious/inappropriate topics while we were sitting down trying to enjoy our meal. There was also yelling in the kitchen that could be heard out front. Not thrilled with this experience. I will not be recommending Porchlight to anyone anymore. read more

Wonderful place to satisfy your pizza cravings. In downtown Pullman they are in a great location for some pizza before a night out on the town. They have a number of pizza offerings, their salads are fantastic and they also pour Merry Cellars wine if you want a little vino with your pizza. Nice thin crust style pizza that focuses on the flavors on the toppings of the pizza. This place answers the question "Should I come back?" with a yes. Environment/Menu layout: 5/5 The menu is very modern, simple to read. It's large and many people can read it at once. The layout of the restaurant is very easy to approach and the environment that the way is set up does well to make it a relaxing place to enjoy pizza with friends and family. Food: 4/5 The pizza's and salads are very consistent except for one case where they burnt the bottom really bad. Other than that one occurrence, they have not failed to deliver the same excellent pizza I expect on visit. My only complaint is that the pepperoni is no longer that nice thick piece that obviously is hand made. Now it's that generic pepperoni so I do not recommend that one anymore. Service: 3.5/5 Service is overall met with a smiling face. This is above the average as not many other places meet the customers with that same greeting. The only part that counteracts this is the person that delivers the pizza. Generally whoever serves the pizza, they tend to give off a "hurry up and just get your pizza" type of approach, but there has been a few times where they greeted and said enjoy. read more

These are delicious pizzas with an awesome price tag for Pullman-$10 for a personal pizza roughly the size of a Pizza Hut or Dominos medium. They have all sorts of combinations on the menu that are all delicious as well as some delicious beer and ciders on tap. I have NEVER left this place disappointed. The pizza is fantastic (artisan) and the atmosphere is chill. Love the concept of build your own pizza. Their customer service is superb. The last time I was there, my pizza order somehow got misplaced and when they brought my friend's food out they apologized and explained what happened. I didn't mind too much, just ate a piece of my friend's in the meantime. HOWEVER!!!! When they brought my pizza out, my server placed a gift card on the table and stated "the next one is on us, so sorry about that". Awesome place that takes care of their customers. Keep in mind that these are artisan pizzas, so the crust is thin and the pies are smaller in size than the kinds that you get from a chain restaurant, but the ingredients are high quality and they have great flavor combinations.
