I've been against this place for too long and saw the light finally. Why is it rip and dip? Why am I paying for myself to make myself a bagel? I have to go with other people just to get 1 bagel for myself, and it has to be 3? It's unique and I think that's what's cool. It's not like other bagel formats. The bagels are HOT and fresh. Excellent. Each bagel was terrific. The scallion cream cheese is incredible. I was gracious in every rip and dip. Super speed format. We got our order in a busy line so fast. I AM NOW A FAN AND IVE REPENTED

Fresh Bagels at Pop up Bagels! Thee best at this point!

I love Bagels! I mean I've been eating them all my life and in my upper west side neighborhood we had a really great spot called H&H Bagels. The original is no longer around.. All the other new Bagel spots are ok.. But then I found POP UP BAGELS! Let me tell you this is the best bagel in the neighborhood! Great taste, Crispy outside and soft and warm inside.. I mean you can literally just eat the bagel plain just like that. That's how good they are. Straight off the press still hot.. Amazing! Their cream cheese is delicious as well. No way you can go wrong here! Pop Up Bagels for the win!

Our personal favorite bagels ever, the shirley schmear was so good! The customer service was great too!

If I were stranded on a deserted island and could only have one breakfast item, it would be the salt bagel (and honestly, the plain one too) from Pop-Up Bagels. I wish I had the words to explain how delicious, addicting, and light these bagels are. At first, I was a little annoyed that you have to order a minimum of three - I told my husband, "What the heck? I only want one bagel!" The schmear (cream cheese) also comes in a huge portion, which seemed over the top... until I took my first bite. To my surprise, I could've easily eaten a dozen of those bagels. We tried the plain, salt, and everything bagels. Normally, I'm an everything bagel kind of girl, but the plain and salt totally stole the show. Perfectly chewy, light, and just insanely good. I also have to give a shout-out to the customer service here. There were only two people working in the morning during the work rush - one making bagels and the other juggling everything else, including the cash register. He kept saying, "Thank you for your patience," again and again. You could tell they were hustling, and I really appreciated the honesty and hard work. Whoever they are and wherever they are now - they deserve a raise. I still think about those bagels even though I'm now on the opposite side of the country. I'm genuinely saddened by the bagels in my area - they don't even come close. As I write this, I'm wondering if they ship nationwide... and if I could get them fresh within 24 hours. Because honestly, a warm Pop-Up bagel might be one of life's great joys. They're that addicting. Whatever's in them- magic, love, or something stronger - I'm not questioning it. Just give me more bagels.

Overall: F // 1 star Finally tried this viral bagel joint after the hype died down and I immensely hate their menu setup. You are required to buy a minimum of three bagels with a schmuck, which are all variations of cream cheese. Especially for bagels which are much better consumed hot when they serve it to you, its a common use case where you would only want to have a single bagel, but this is just not possible; you'll need to coordinate with other people to share bagels or eat the bagels when they are not fresh, and frankly this is unnecessarily complicated for someone that just wants to have a simple breakfast.. and this updated model compared to all the other bagel joints does not have any upsides (for the customer). $13 for 3 bagels is also expensive, and I don't find their bagels to taste better than other famous bagel joints in the city. generous cream cheese offerings. container was plenty for at least 5 bagels loaded up. YUM!!! also, the bagels were warm when we got them. mmmmm. i wish i could've tried more cream cheese only problem is that the man handling boxes and bagels was lowkey using the same pair of gloves to move things around while touching the floor lol

We got bagels here 2x while I was visiting NYC. The bagels were hot out of the oven and yummy. They're crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. They have just 4 types to choose from. We had the everything bagels. They also have amazing cream cheese, which changes daily. The first time here we got the apple maple syrup cream cheese, and the second time we had the cranberry cream cheese. Unlike other bagel stores, you must order in quantities of 3. So 3, 6, 9, 12.

I feel like you're either a fan or a hater of PopUp bagels and I'm a fan! They're not the traditional bagel joint with 100s of bagel flavors serving BECs or lox sandwiches, but instead they offer warm bagels (plain, salt, sesame, or everything) meant for ripping and dipping into either cream cheese or butter (often with creative rotating flavors). I personally love that they're warm, it's like a morning bread basket. Can't go wrong with their scallion cream cheese, but I also love their rotating butter flavors. It's a ton of spread, so can definitely save for later too :) Only down side is that the bagels are only sold in 3s, which is a lot for 1 person. Bring a friend! This location has no seating, but some standing tables outside or take to the park.

Tracy Y.

There's always a line here, but it moves fast. This location has a few standing tables outside, which is handy if you want to eat right away. There's a minimum order of three bagels--tough if you're trying to save stomach space for all the other food in NYC. The bagels themselves are excellent--chewy, still warm even after a stroll to Central Park. The cream cheese comes in its own tub so you can dip as you eat. Not my favorite style, since it's a bit awkward and requires both hands. I think I expected a more classic NYC bagel shop serving sandwich-style options with different fillings, so the minimalist approach was a little underwhelming for me.

Do you like fresh, hot, crispy, delicious bagels? If you don't, this will definitely change your mind. And if you do, these will remain among your food memories for a while. I'm so so sad I cannot readily get these since I live on the opposite coast but I will eat these again in a heartbeat the next time I get access to them. The workers were all friendly and enthusiastic - just know there is no place to sit inside but easy enough to take and go to a nearby park. Last words: Just eat them.

Bea F.

Honestly such a good concept. These people are the definition of efficient. It's crazy. Every 5 ish minutes they have a new batch of bagels come out. Small selection of bagels and cream cheese but that's exactly how it should be. So happy they are opening one in Miami

This time we got the lox bagel with scallion lox cream cheese spread, bacon egg and cheese on everything bagel, and onion bagel with chipotle scallion cream cheese. The lox bagel had so much smoked salmon which was great. My favorite, however, is still the chipotle scallion cream cheese spread. By far my favorite and just getting cream cheese makes the bagel pretty cheap compared to those sandwiches. Strongly recommend!!

The bagel was nice and fresh. Doughy on the inside and crispy on the outside. I'm giving 4 stars because there was a bit too much cream cheese for my liking and I had to try to wipe some of it off. I ordered ahead on the Doordash app so it was ready when I arrived but there was no option to add a note for light cream cheese. I didn't spend too much time inside but I noticed there was plenty of seating. There were a ton of different spreads in the case and the menus on TV screens had a decent amount of options for salads, sandwiches, and breakfast platters. Plain Bagel with Cream Cheese: 4/5

FOOD: We ordered a bag of 3 bagels-- everything, poppy seed & salt. The bagels were cute, medium sized and served warm/hot. We chose the scallion cream cheese which came in a lil container. Apparently the bagels are not made in the traditional manner, but they were still delicious with great texture and taste. We also ordered the tea (ok) and strawberry lemonade (yum). We enjoyed our bagels on the little countertop area outside. OVERALL: Definitely recommend! A different bagel experience than some other places (as in, those places where you are served bagels topped with cream cheese and other things) but we enjoyed the simplicity of the bagels and controlling the amount of cream cheese.
