    Wow, the recent experience COULD NOT HAVE BEEN ANY WORSE. Although you would expect a PARTY RENTAL…read moreAND SUPPLY business to be open on WEEKENDS when most parties happen, they are not. Our event ordered chairs for a wedding and had to pick them up on Friday. They said they COULD set them up for us at Lovers Point on a Saturday for additional HUNDREDS of dollars. But that was too ridiculous to do. So we rented 50 chairs and picked them up. Returned them ALL on Monday. They then called to say 4 chairs were missing and the replacement cost was $50 PER CHAIR even though exact chair sold online for $21 with free shipping, but a contract is a contract. This of course caused a panic, after calling the bride and groom on their HONEYMOON over the missing chairs, calling the groom's family, the bride's family, searching the reception venue and having no luck we felt we didn't have any other options. It was only when a rep from Hodges's walked into the reception venue days later LOOKING FOR ONE MISSING CHAIR was it discovered ooops, their bad...they were supposedly only missing ONE FRIGGING CHAIR! I still believe NONE WERE MISSING but whatever. They didn't have the decency in 3 days to admit their mistake and avoid the hassle for a SINGLE $21 chair. For a wedding and reception that lots could go wrong nothing really did, right up to the point of these guys being rude and unprofessional insisting they double counted everything when returned, followed 3 days later by oops they miscounted. When looking for tables, glassware, linen and chair rentals in the past I was warned to use Chic or Illusions instead of Hodge's. I was reminded that Illusions and Chic do lots for charities and non profits in our area.. I have used others... even with the delivery fees from Alexis Party or M&M party rental in Santa Cruz County and having stuff delivered, even on a Saturday to Monterey, these guys are way over priced. I try to support local, and with this order being so small I couldn't imagine any problems. So, let me assure you NEVER AGAIN from these guys. Shop around, check out your options. I'm giving 2 stars only because a friend of a friend said that one time they were decent to him.

I had never rented…read moreanything before and it took me several weeks going back and forth, changing my reservation as our plans for the wedding solidified. The folks at Hodges were very patient with all of my changes. Everything was in great condition that we rented and they made the process simple with delivery and pickup. Prices seemed very fair. I would most certainly rent from them again though I'm hoping the next daughter's wedding will not be in the too near future...I need a rest!

Manny provided the microphones for our ceremony (on the groom and officiant), was the DJ for our reception, provided mic's for our Mariachi band and a mirror booth. They really know how to keep people on the dance floor! It truly was a pleasure to work with them and I highly recommend them for your next event !

We had a lot of specific little things we wanted to do for our wedding (lots of music cues, logistics for different points of the reception, etc.), and Emmanuel (Manny, as we called him) was very helpful. They have an online system that lets you put really specific instructions in, but even after we'd uploaded the songs we wanted, we were able to call Manny a day or two before the wedding and walk through some small changes, which everyone on the same page with what was in our head. They really made sure we felt like we could give them as much detail as possible, and it wouldn't overwhelm them - it would just make them better at accomplishing what we were looking for. But they were also REALLY good at improvising - we didn't always have a packed dance floor (due to lower attendance numbers than we expected), but the DJ would read the room and switch over to a few slow dances, and that got some more people dancing. And then once he felt there were a good number of people on their feet, he'd go back to the upbeat music we'd discussed. It was such a smart move, and a clear sign that they're really good at taking the temperature/vibe of your wedding and making it happen! Manny was our MC, and he brought a DJ and two women to run the photo booth. They were all excellent, and we got a lot of great compliments about the music and photos for the next several days."

Jamie and Eric went above and beyond to ensure that our wedding décor was nothing short of spectacular. We wanted to create a unique and cozy atmosphere, while providing additional seating for our guests and they delivered in spades. Two months advance, Jamie presented us with multiple seating arrangement options with various couches, pillows, and additional decor to supplement each space. Their selection of couches, chairs, rugs, and custom decor was extensive. Every piece was handpicked to fit the vibe of our event. We were able to provide feedback and then together landed on how each area would look and feel, and finalized each item from their inventory. What truly stood out was the level of customization they offered. They took the time to understand our vision and provided multiple options that aligned with it. Even more impressively, White Rabbit provided us with gorgeous, custom signs for the entire event. Knowing our color scheme and decor direction, Jamie took the initiative to design signage and frame everything so it was wedding day ready! On the day of our wedding, the delivery and set up was absolutely seamless. I didn't have to worry about anything. When we finally saw everything set up, we were in awe. The décor completely transformed our venue (a family ranch property in Auburn, CA) into a dreamy, romantic space that left our guests raving about it. It was more than we ever could have imagined. In the world of party rentals, we found there were many others who would gouge for transportation fees or have enormous minimums that smaller parties cannot afford. We were able to do our event between $500 - $1000 and have the furniture and additions needed to make it look like the 1890s London space we were looking for. During the process, they recommended extra items and also advised against pieces that didn't fit with our theme. I really appreciated how ethical they were and how trustworthy. They came to deliver our items at the appointed date and time on the weekend and picked up the next day. And what's even better? They put them exactly where we needed them! Another local company (won't mention the name) brought the other items hours late and dumped them at the base of our driveway. The difference between White Rabbit and the other Santa Cruz company were astounding, and not in a good way. I highly recommend White Rabbit and no, I was not paid to leave this rating. I'm just that impressed with how wonderful they made my husband's 60th birthday.

The team is sooooo good, that we paid extra for them to go from Carmel all the way to Napa for our recent event; and they still met our budget. I was introduced to Linda through one of the venues we had an event at in Carmel. Linda and her team did such a crazy amazing job, that we asked if she would come out to Napa. And there, she just wrapped up a 450-person, 2-day event for us, and we so many compliments. Even my banquet coordinator in Napa said she would keep Linda at the top of her list. What I love most about Linda is that she is super creative. We provide her with a theme, some ideas of what we are visualizing, and she makes it come to life. We don't have to do any of the thinking; she does it all and we just say yay or nay. Linda and her team truly make our jobs as event planners much easier.
