Wonderful rental spot!! I came to Chic for rental of items for my wedding and they had everything I needed and the staff was amazing. Ally helped me with my quote and continued to help me throughout the process from beginning to end. She allowed me to relax and look around on my own, but was available the moment I had questions. She even helped me create a table setting with the table cloths, chargers, chair, utensils, etc. so I could visualize everything and make it perfect. Chic offers everything from rentals of chairs bars to lighting so you can have as much or as little help as you want. They can drop off items or set everything up for you. Ally was never pushy but let me know what was available and what she recommended. She was so helpful!! Once items were dropped off, the staff was also very helpful with this! All items were dropped off two days prior to my wedding. The workers we very kind and helped me but placing everything in the garage so it wouldn't get wet outdoors all weekend. They are in Monterey and we are in Fresno so we didn't want to drive all the way to their show room with how busy we were with the wedding. I'll keep this review short and sweet as I only wrote this so that I can give them a thumbs up to add to their ever-growing list of satisfied customers. First of all, while Chic Event Rentals is *NOT* the cheapest out here, they are definitely worth every single penny spent if you value service reliability, quality goods/equipment, and professional customer service. Like all other considerations to be made at the wedding, the lady and I used a weighted scale to determine what is really needed and what isn't. Chic, from the very start, was very helpful with coming up with various ideas and options with the lady - from choosing the tables and the cloths to the wine glasses, plates, silverware, and all other reception necessities. Chic was also very patient with our continuous changes to the quote and accommodated all the lady's wishes. Another thing worth mentioning involved our issue with the reception hall (guy running the place was giving us a massive headache with last minute changes). We didn't have much time to setup nor would ever be given the keys to open the gate for deliveries to be made. We called Chic and asked if they can be exactly on time for their deliveries instead of giving us an approximate. Chic got back to us and got their delivery guys to drop it off EXACTLY at the time requested. 50% down to confirm booking and reserve their equipment (still can change quote after), fantastic customer service, and reliable delivery/pickup times? I've been using them for years and I have to say year after year they execute flawlessly. They are professional and know what they're doing. All their employees know what they're doing from your initial email/call/visit down to the delivery. If you don't know what size tablecloth to order for your table size. They know. We used Chic rentals for chiavari chairs, charger plates and napkins/rings for our wedding this past June at the InterContinental Clement in Monterey. Their items definitely transformed the room!! The people were very helpful and professional. I have never had to use a rental company before so I definitely had a lot of questions! One important one being, but what KIND of purple is this exactly?? Who knew there were so many shades? They sent me swatches so I could see them in person which was extremely helpful. I changed my order a couple times throughout the process and they were very patient and accommodating. On the day-of they delivered early enough so everything was pretty much already set up by the time I popped down there to check it out in the morning and it looked WONDERFUL! At first I really enjoyed chic event rentals, I had gone in a few times while I was planning my wedding looking and trying to decide what I needed and trying to figure out my vision. Viri was very patient, we had started planning early so we added and removed items from our list of rental items. We had decided to only rent out the charger plates and so we put a deposit on just that. A few months later we went back to see if I wanted to add anything we put some items on our list but NEVER paid the deposit to officially reserve them, anyway called to pay the rest of the charger plates and Andrea was awful and cruel. I had told her I wanted to pay the rest and she gave me a different total and I let her know it wasn't correct and I only had one rental item and she went off " we held all these items for you this whole time, I just can't believe it and now you don't want them. They could have been rented but we had them for you." Blah blah like andrea I don't care save your guilt trip and give me my total so I can get off the phone with you. First of all Andrea learn your own policy to reserve something you need to put a 50% deposit which I didn't so they weren't reserved for me that's on your company for holding them,should have followed the rules you had in place. Second don't try and guilt your customers. Definitely will not recommend and let everyone know about how awful Andrea is. Thank you for the charger plates. read more

Our decorator in the bay area flaked on us days before our son's reception. I called Chic rentals and spoke to Viri. I was so nervous and was going to have a melt down. Viri was so calm when I called, patient and saved our reception. She was so positive to work with. Literally with one conversation and one email we were set !!!! The tent crew came and set up our tents without any issues. We are so thankful that a business like theirs was there for us. Our reception was an amazing event for our son and his bride. As we were trying to figure out cocktail tables that we could use for both our rehearsal dinner and wedding, Chic Event Rentals was very kind and always happily answered our questions pick-up, drop-off, pricing, and styles available. The representative also helped us figure out what pick-up/drop-off dates would give us the best pricing and meet our needs. As we were delayed due to the Paradise Fire smoke, pick-up could have been nightmare but the warehouse was easy to find, helpful in loading our car, and accommodating for our late pick-up. The showroom was so beautiful and provided a lot of inspiration for what we wanted at our wedding. Unfortunately we ultimately had to move our wedding venue closer to home so we were no longer able to use their services, but Marianne was fantastic and so incredibly helpful from beginning to end. I requested the pergola be draped in a very specific way, and I was a bit nervous about how it would turn out and it looked great! Chic may not be the cheapest rental company, but I think for the service and professionalism, it makes it worth it. Our Grandson gaves us 10 days notice announcing that he'd like to elope and get married on the beach and then have his Pop up celebration in our backyard. I contacted Chic events because we have used them before. I called and customer service walked me through the catalogue and I chose what we needed in a few hours. We choce the amalfi dinner ware which is beautiful, and there are many choices from furniture, flatware, dinnerware, even area rugs and linens. The catalogue helped me to choose the vintage vinyard rustic kind of theme. I even put up an arbor so they could do pictures under it. The crew arrived on time and set everything up. They were efficient and personable and willing to do it all. pick up was timely as well and just as smooth. Our "popup' wedding reception was beautiful and I never felt stressed. I added a few items at the last minute without a problem. Chic Events and Brittney far exceeded my husband and I's expectations. After research and reading reviews of other local rental companies, we knew that Chic Events would give us the decor and equipment needed to have the beautiful wedding I have always wanted. Brittney was also so patient despite my constant changes in ideas and quantities and she made sure that I had every element that I needed. She is extremely thorough and had some amazing recommendations. Their showroom is absolutely beautiful and classy. It gave me a good sense of what I can expect come the day of. Everything is kept in great condition and I love that they make their own tables etc when needed. My husband and I really loved their wooden cocktail tables the first time we met with them, but we wanted bar height cocktail tables. We were in luck, as they told us that they are making them and will have them ready by the time our date came around. My nieces wedding was this past Saturday and at 30 days from the wedding we had a few glitches and no linenes, tent, etc...I sent our list to Chic and they were on it and found everything we needed for the wedding. We used Chic for our wedding. I would say their selection was good, and the staff was helpful. We were able to get in and out pretty quickly to make our selection, and we did make a change to one of the linen selections pretty seamlessly a few weeks out. The reason this is a 4-star vs. 5 is because I'm still trying to work out the amount they charged me. Somewhere along the way an error was made, a refund was issued, and another charge was made after the fact. They could clean up their billing process a bit, but overall a good service. read more

Working with all of the girls Chic Event Rentals was such a delight! From the very first online Form Submission to a few days after my wedding when I returned two napkins I found in a shoe box ( I don't know how they ended up there) All of the girls seemed genuinely excited to work with me.. Also, being able to make an appointment was huge for me because my time is valuable (Or so I tell myself) and I love having all the attention on me .. and not to mention their selections and quality were galaxies better than the other companies in the area.. Quality- IS A HUGE factor for me because I used another company from the area, not to be named, in the past and the chairs were ugly and mismatched..
