We just wrote this as a referral for someone looking to hire Manny and his team but it is so true so I just wanted to cut and paste lol. "We loved working with them! We had a lot of specific little things we wanted to do for our wedding (lots of music cues, logistics for different points of the reception, etc.), and Emmanuel (Manny, as we called him) was very helpful. They have an online system that lets you put really specific instructions in, but even after we'd uploaded the songs we wanted, we were able to call Manny a day or two before the wedding and walk through some small changes, which everyone on the same page with what was in our head. They really made sure we felt like we could give them as much detail as possible, and it wouldn't overwhelm them - it would just make them better at accomplishing what we were looking for. But they were also REALLY good at improvising - we didn't always have a packed dance floor (due to lower attendance numbers than we expected), but the DJ would read the room and switch over to a few slow dances, and that got some more people dancing. And then once he felt there were a good number of people on their feet, he'd go back to the upbeat music we'd discussed. It was such a smart move, and a clear sign that they're really good at taking the temperature/vibe of your wedding and making it happen! We had the pleasure of booking Dj Manny, with MBE and I can't even begin to express what an amazing experience it was. We booked the Dj, photo booth, we wanted a stage for a live band, and lighting. The music he played was just what we wanted, the room looked spectacular with the lighting, the sound was perfect. We had been warned about the way live music sounded at the venue so we were hesitant to even try and amp That with sound, but I'm glad we did. It sounded awesome! Above all, the going beyond his service was what did it for us. It felt like we were booking family lol. The contract was in detail full and requested information to have everything order (which I loved). The only tiny tiny hiccup was when the photo booth malfunctioned, which lasted about 10 min before they were able to get it working back up. I am super appreciative for their service. Manny DJ'd our wedding last weekend, and was the best DJ ever! The setup was amazing and looks so professional from the uplighting to the DJ booth. He also supplied lapel microphones to the groom, officiant, and instrument mics for our string quartet throughout the ceremony. He had such great ideas throughout our planning process as well, and a great organizational site to help us track key songs we wanted played. We especially loved that we could pull directly from Spotify to share our preferred versions with him. Loved working with Manny and his team! We booked Monterey Bay Entertainment for its photobooth service for our wedding at Wedgewood Carmel. They had previously worked at my friend's event and done a great job. Leading up to the event, Manny was super communicative, professional, and cost-effective. He was so kind as to even purchase a rose gold backdrop specifically for our event to match our wedding colors. Everything looked great day-of and guests looked like they were having a ton of fun using all the props. So after contacting Manny so many times to get his officiant services i should of stopped there. But i was looking for a spanish speaking officiant we signed a service agreement on 7/6/18 for my 8/26/18 wedding i sent him a email to see how he was going to want to get paid that day. He responded he had to cancel our AGREEMENT AND RETURN MY INITIAL DEPOSIT. I feel if i had not contacted him i would had a no show at my wedding he cancelled 2 weeks before the ceremony for a Bride this is so devastating and un professional. read more
