We had a lot of specific little things we wanted to do for our wedding (lots of music cues, logistics for different points of the reception, etc.), and Emmanuel (Manny, as we called him) was very helpful. They have an online system that lets you put really specific instructions in, but even after we'd uploaded the songs we wanted, we were able to call Manny a day or two before the wedding and walk through some small changes, which everyone on the same page with what was in our head. They really made sure we felt like we could give them as much detail as possible, and it wouldn't overwhelm them - it would just make them better at accomplishing what we were looking for. But they were also REALLY good at improvising - we didn't always have a packed dance floor (due to lower attendance numbers than we expected), but the DJ would read the room and switch over to a few slow dances, and that got some more people dancing. And then once he felt there were a good number of people on their feet, he'd go back to the upbeat music we'd discussed. It was such a smart move, and a clear sign that they're really good at taking the temperature/vibe of your wedding and making it happen! Manny was our MC, and he brought a DJ and two women to run the photo booth. They were all excellent, and we got a lot of great compliments about the music and photos for the next several days."

One of the most important things we wanted out of our wedding was that it was fun - and that was MORE than satisfied with Stoney's charm and emcee skills and how he kept the atmosphere of the night upbeat and enjoyable. Weeks after the wedding, we repeatedly heard from guests complimenting Stoney and expressing how much fun they had. Leading up to the wedding, Jack was actually our main point of contact - believe he's the owner of Music Now. For music preferences we mainly communicated with Jack, and he had us fill out the questionnaire describing our style and any strict do-not-plays. That questionnaire was then passed on to Stoney, who had a check-in call with us one week before the wedding to make sure we were on the same page. Ultimately Stoney did a great job playing all the best songs that would appeal to both younger and older crowds. I would highly recommend DJ Stoney!

I had DJ Joey dj my wedding and could not have been more disappointed…read more For starters I should have known to verify things after he tried to tell us there was no "clean" version of our grand entrance song and we may want to change it. I was pretty set on this song so I researched for myself and was able to find the clean version on 3 different platforms in about 60 seconds. Another thing is that I have never heard of a DJ who doesn't take requests... I guess we are supposed to know every song our guests are going to want to listen to beforehand. He was unable to take a request for a song that a lot of our guests wanted to hear. The biggest problem of the night was that he played the wrong song for my father daughter dance. We put the very title of the song and what version on the document we shared with him and even had a meeting to go over all of it. If there were ever any doubts he should have reached out to confirm he had the right song and clarify. I really hope this isn't a thing that has happened to a lot of couples he's DJ'd for because it absolutely ruined the moment. That was one of the moments I was looking forward to most because the song had a lot of meaning being that it was my stepfather I was dancing with. He seemed to be more worried about other things like asking us and all of our vendors if we would have an umbrella for him at ceremony even after we already told him we would take care of it. He also kept saying how he would be like "our second wedding planner" and tried to interject himself into things that did not pertain to him. He should probably focus more on making sure he does the DJ part right. Overall I was very disappointed with the experience and would not recommend him. He didn't even have the curtesy to apologize to me after my husband let him know he played the wrong song.
