We had a great experience working with James as our DJ. Upon arrival, he was very flexible with the somewhat odd set up of our indoor-outdoor venue. Our dance floor was outdoors, away from a power source, so James provided a generator for his DJ booth and it worked out perfectly. Our event had several "vibe shifts" from cocktail hour, to a casino royale, to a 70's/Austin powers dance party, and he perfectly matched the music for each of those sections as the night went on. Looking for a one-stop shop for entertainment for a special event? Well, look no further! Jaime and Edith were fun people to work with that were prompt to aid us with our special day. We had the pleasure of having DJ James provide us with music and MCing for our wedding while Edith operated the photobooth. They were prompt to arrive for set up prior to the event and sending us the pictures afterwards that were taken from the photobooth. In the short time we booked DJ James to when our event was - we met twice and communicated via email to go over our timeline and style of music so he was able to get an idea of what we want and to deliver that vision. While we had our timeline all ready to go at the first meeting, he encouraged us to use the online planner tool on his website and the playlist option there, which I thought was a cool feature to have as the website layout itself was very detailed and organized. In addition to using the online tools, we also emailed him our Spotify playlist and PDF of the finalized timeline in detail just incase! There was no issues with that either and overall the event went beautifully, I'd say about 97% since there were a few small hiccups, but we and our guests had a wonderful time with Jaime and Edith. My only complaints were that I feel while the timeline was given in advance at the requested window (2 weeks prior to our event date for the playlist, 1 week prior for the timeline) so he'd "be able to make a mix with our songs" and "keep us on track with time" and "knowing what to say [and how to correctly say it] because phonetic pronunciations of words are helpful" to ensure a seamless day, my husband, wedding party and I felt that the MCing could have used a bit more practice as it felt like delivery has not been rehearsed or went over once. The song transitions could have been a bit more smooth BUT the song choices that were chosen by us and added in by Jaime were amazing, so no complaints there. He followed through with getting a feel of the type of music we enjoyed, kept what was added of us and added what he thought we would like, which we and our guest loved. Overall, I would book and highly recommend JZM Entertainment again for any future events! On a separate event, we had Eliza(?) a few weeks after as the photobooth operator for a birthday party and she was fun to work with as well! Lovely family. read more

My family and I cannot express how thankful we are for Mr. Jaime and his services from JZM Entertainment. We recently hired him for my debut (18th birthday), and he did everything he could to make this day so special for me. He's very open for communications, and he makes sure each little detail is just the way you want it to be. There were moments where I was busy with school, but he made the planning process (music selection, monogram design, etc.) stress free to the point where it wasn't as much of a worry to the party planning. He will stay on the phone with you/send you all the details just to make sure you love the work he has done. So many of the guests loved the Photo Booth JZM Entertainment provided through the package. The photo strips came out BEAUTIFULLY, and the guests couldn't help but use the UNLIMITED photobooth throughout the night. His wife is soooo sweet and runs the photobooth well. She was so considerate to me and my friends along with the other guests. She also helped capture the best court photo! I would definitely recommend getting the colored up lights. NO SHOW: I'm the VP of South Valley Middle School Parent Club. We made arrangements for this company to provide photo booth services at the school for the 8th grade dance. The theme was Carnival: A night under the stars. It was going to be spectacular. In fact, Jaime and I exchanged several texts to finalize the photo frames. I was excited because they were going to match our carnival theme. JZM did not show up to our event even after we had paid a $250 deposit, funds that many of the parents donated. The excuse of why they didn't fulfill the contract, "a teacher told them we wouldn't need them". They didn't once verify this information with the very person that made the arrangement and deposit. Be warned, if you want a successful event, make sure you select a vendor who will show up. What a huge disappointment! read more

I hired this company for an event at my home. Jaime was going to be the DJ at my event. I received a call from Jaime three days prior to my event telling me the other DJ he works with had a family emergency so he was going to do his event that night and had to cancel on my family and I. The replacement got drunk and when he left he left me with property damage and was extremely reckless, He put my family in danger. Recently attended an event where these services were hired. We requested a few popular songs they said they didn't have, I'd have expected more people to be dancing, but that was not the case. They lacked variety in the music they played. They played an inappropriate song during the family dance in which their daughter requested the song to be changed. The photo cards had the wrong name and we had to retake our photos. They even pronounced names and titles wrong during announcements. These services are so important for any memorable event, and I would not hire, nor suggest these services as a vendor. read more

First off, let me start by saying Jaime was the absolute best DJ / MC and truly made our wedding the amazing fun party I'd hoped for! When searching for a DJ, I was the anal bride that reached out to 30+ vendors and compared them across a number of points: value, ratings, professionalism, offerings. Jaime came in at the top of all these - almost seeming too good to be true. My fiance and I met with him for coffee to sign the contract, only to realize he really was the amazing DJ / MC that he appeared to be over email. We then met three weeks before the wedding to finalize all the music, the up lights, and slideshow (yes, he helped coordinate all of this!). Jaime offered tons of song suggestions and ideas about how to make the night go off with out a hitch - such as faking the bouquet toss to ensure enough time for the photographer to get the perfect shot and / or where to fade the music of our first dance as to not drag on for the full 5:00 music clip. The result - a reception our friends and family are still raving about! Everyone from my 13 year old nephew to my 89 year old grandma danced THE ENTIRE night. Dance circles broke out, group Gangnam style dancing ,and a 30+ person linked arm wave. I mean, granted my wedding attendees are quite a fun group of people...but Jaime made sure to engage all ages across all genres and kept the energy high until end of night. My expectations were beyond exceeded and I cannot say enough about how awesome the entire relationship was. First thing people told us when planning our wedding was make sure your DJ is THE best, for they make or break the reception. With that said and living out of the area, I looked and read almost every single review out there for DJs in Monterey county. What made it difficult was the fact that we were looking for a DJ that could play just about everything, from top 40 to Cumbias to Vicente Fernandez and everything in between. The DJ and photo booth service were horrible. It was my daughters sweet sixteen party and the there was a series of bad events caused by this company. There is too many wrongs to go into lots of details but the DJ was late, didn't play any of the songs that we listed on their website, he couldn't read properly and destroyed names and announcements. Played inappropriate songs and didn't play the first dance song either. Photo booth was just as bad. The young man literally was asking if anyone knew how to use a Surface Pro computer because he didn't!!!! spelled the birthday girls name wrong, the printer broke and we lost photos!
