Initially came in for what I thought was only going to be a muffler change, turns out I needed more work done- there was a leak and instead of patching up the leak and having me come back in a couple months they told me it would be better for me to just get everything fixed all at once so I wouldn't have to come back. Very polite, swift, and professional workers. It is by appointment only but if you're lucky you might find a spot day of, very reasonable prices overall. They do take card but if you prefer to take out cash they do have an ATM inside. read more

Pop's exhaust in Manchester is a decent muffler shop for your everyday regular mexhaust needs. I have had 3 vehicles worked on here and for the most part is was good but one of my trucks the pipe came off the muffler right at the weld, they said it was rust and I would need a new exhaust but it was 2 yrs ago and only 11000 miles later and when they break off clean at the weld that means it just was not a good weld job. My biggest issue is when it comes to performance as they do not have a large selection. They do not even work with stainless steel at all or carry exhaust tips 4 inches or larger. I just feel If exhaust is your speciality then you should be able to do it all. Decent place for your normal car but any real custom work or sports cars I would find another place. read more

My husband took his car to Monro in Enfield on a Sunday and was told the resonator and muffler had to be replaced and it was all rusted below. They quoted almost $700 worth of repairs. I asked around for other recommendations and several people highly recommended Pops. One woman even said Monro quoted her $800 and Pop's did what needed to be done for $140 and change. Since my husband needed to take the car on a long trip in a couple days, I needed it to be done relatively soon. As he was away and unable to take the car in, I rolled up to Pops in the morning and walked in. Someone came in almost right away and pleasantly asked what they could do. I explained the muffler was hanging low and making a lot of noise. They took the car in right away to look underneath. I waited in the waiting area which had nice chairs, a tv with remote, snack and drink machines, and free coffee. In about 5-10 minutes the guy came out to tell me the rear part of the mid pipe was rusted from age and needed to be replaced, but the muffler and resonator was in fine condition. They quoted me $125-140 plus tax and I gave the ok to do the work. (Goes to show what a ripoff chain places (Monro especially) can be!) They let me know it would be about 40 minutes and so I seated myself and watched tv. Sure enough they were done within 40 mins and the car was in great shape, no more noise and rattle, and muffler was firmly in place and level. Turned out the guy helping me was Nick, the manager. He was nice as can be and I really appreciate that they are honest, up front, give great prices, and aren't out to sell you more than you need. I will readily recommend them to anyone who has any exhaust problems! read more

I brought my 87 Land Cruiser to them to repair a bad muffler/exhaust that was only 6 years old. Awesome! Came out exactly how I wanted it, perfect sound, not too loud but you know its there. Honest too, I read on some of the LC blogs about adding back a Catalytic converter to help with the exhaust/gas smell I was getting sometimes. Said to do the new exhaust and if it still there he can easily add it in. Turned out the smell was a leak in the old exhaust. Saved me a couple hundred dollars! Highly recommend! read more

Was told by my VW dealer that my wife's car had a bad catalytic converter and would cost $1,500 to replace. This is after I asked them to check for a rattle under the car. They stated that the internal parts of the converter were loose. Asked Pop's to check it out as I heard that they offered quality service at fair prices. They put the car on the left and quickly determined that the rattle was due to a loose converter shield because the bolts had rusted away. Removed shield - no more rattle. These guys get it. I have brought 3 different vehicles here for various types of work in the last 5 years and they deliver every time. In 2008 I had brought my 2008 Honda Accord V6 for a muffler replacement. After getting a quote from Manchester Honda, I found an OEM muffler on eBay and brought it here to be replaced. In 2009 I had a 1991 Mitsubishi Galant VR4 that needed the catalytic converter, muffler, connecting pipe, resonator and tailpipe repaired/replaced. Again I brought in an OEM resonator and muffler that I sourced, but had them supply the piping. And finally in 2011, while in Germany the catalytic converter on my 1991 Nissan 240SX was stolen. Luckily I had a spare so I had them install that and new mid-piping. I recently brought a friend here who had a terribly rotted muffler on her 2005 Honda Civic. Expecting to pay hundreds of dollars for parts and labor, she paid $150 for everything. Time and again Jon and his staff have been great. I was referred to Pop's by Tires International. They said that they'd have to replace the catalytic converter and pipe for $1,400 but that Pop's could probably just cut out the broken flex pipe and replace it for a couple hundred dollars. I went to Pop's and was super impressed. First when I showed up at my appointment time the gentleman at the desk said they would look at it and let me know what they could do. I was a little concerned because you could tell they were pretty busy. When I asked when he thought they'd be able to do that he replied "your appointment is now so we'll do it right now." Less than 10 minutes later I had a good explanation of what was needed and a quote of $210. Came back an hour later and it was all done. Super place! I had a loud rattling beneath my Honda accord which I took to Honda. They told me it was most likely the catalytic converter and it would cost me a small fortune. I took it to Pops on a whim and the gentleman took my car in to look at that day with no problem!! They diagnosed the problem to be a flex pipe capacitor and total cost $175 and they could fix it that day! Amazing! The gentleman took the flex pipe off and actually showed me the problem! When pulling the car out of the garage the gentleman noticed my oil was low and came in to tell me I needed oil! Talk about going above and beyond! These guys do excellent, reasonably-priced work -- so far, for my household, they've replaced two flex pipes and one massively rotted-out exhaust pipe/muffler. I believed I had an exhaust issue with my 1999 Honda CRV because of a noise occurring while driving. I spoke to Nick Works and he set up an appointment for the very next morning. He even took the time to go for a "test drive" with me so I could point out the noise when I heard it. . .he noted that it may be a transmission problem and referred me to Manchester Transmission. When I took my car to a local independent shop with a very loud exhaust, they told me that the flex pipes around the catalytic converter were shot. They wanted over $1,000 to fix it, by replacing the section of pipe that includes the flex pipes and the catalyst with a factory part. When pressed, they allowed as how they could weld in new flex pipes for $400, but they wouldn't provide any warranty on the work. I took the car to Pop's. Not only did they weld in new flex pipes, but they saw that the resonator had a small leak in it that wasn't evident until the flex pipes were fixed. The entire repair--two segments of flex pipe and a new resonator--cost me just under $290. They were quick and efficient, and they have nice comfortable chairs in their air-conditioned waiting room--not something you always get with independent shops. read more

My 2001 Toyota Highlander had an exhaust leak and the exhaust part at the Lynch Toyota was $1200. Because of the great reviews online I went to Pops Exhaust in Manchester and they repaired my exhaust leak the same day for $300. They were able to cut out a piece of the part and weld in a new piece. They also repaired the exhaust in a couple of new places that I didn't even know about. I cannot recommend them enough.
