I went here on the recommendation of a Home Depot associate. Until then I would walk past their storefront wondering who goes into their store location. Soon as you enter you will see 2-3 Asian women on the left. A couple of them take orders while one handles payments and also coordinates pickups. They have a mind-boggling variety of options for acrylic sheets--clear/frosted/opaque, etc. and also colors. Visit them in person or at their website. Note that this is not the place for design advice. Come with a clear view of what you are looking for and Canal Plastics will make it happen. Most orders are processed within an hour, but allow an extra day if the edges need polishing. Finally, on price--they are quite expensive, but that speaks to their product quality and also pricing power.

I originally went to another acrylic store nearby but they weren't helpful at all and was quite pricey - they quoted me $24 for one sheet. I found this place on yelp and walked over - I told the guy what I needed and that I didn't want to spend too much on it since it's only something purely decorative for the box. He was so much more helpful - he quoted the exact same sheet for $22, I told him it's still more than what I would want to pay - he suggested other types of acrylic sheets that's a lot more affordable for me to choose from - I ended up picking one for $15, and he gave me a discount ($13 each) for buying 5 pieces. He got it cut in the exact size I needed in less than 10m. High recommend. Friendly, helpful, and honest staff.

We wanted an indie designer to create a custom thistle motif wedding suite (I live in Scotland, my now-husband is Scottish, the wedding was in Scotland and the thistle is the national flower) and "logo" we could also use for other items such as cocktail napkins and the like. Her thoughtful design set a tone of anticipation and were not only beautiful to look at but felt lovely to the touch with the letterpressing and creamy, substantial paper. Hannah sold us the vector file for the custom logo/crest design she created for us to use on those other items as we wished. She's not only very creatively talented, she's also great at listening to the needs and wants of a client as well as reading people to offer her own suggestions to make the finished work that much more special. She's warm, detail-oriented and great at communication. For custom work, we were very happy with the overall value we received relative to how talented she is. The design, color scheme, creamy and substantial paper, letter pressing...all beautiful and cohesive. Months later we're still getting compliments on the beautiful suite (including programs and menus) she designed for us. Admittedly it was a bit more than we were looking to spend on wedding invitations. But we got just what we wished for and it was great value for the quality.

Her customer service was also extremely impressive. She was very responsive, easy to work with, and very accommodating with unique requests. We used fragile sea shells for escort cards (and had some last minute seating changes), and Gabby did an amazing job on that project - even repackaging the shells perfectly in a box with layers of bubble wrap for us to transport to the venue. Gabby is very talented and you can tell she truly cares about her work and making sure her clients get exactly what they need. I would recommend her to anyone.
