We got the house wine pitcher (definitely a good amount more than necessary). We also enjoyed bruschetta and ravioli with pomodoro. Very yummy, service was exceptional. 34€ in total. We had a very nice time.

Stumbled upon this gem of a restaurant. My husband and I got here while wondering the streets of Rome & stopped for an early dinner. The portions were great & left us full. Although there is always room for dessert & we indulged in the pana cotta and tiramisu. The pana cotta lacked flavor & the tiramisu fell a bit short for me.

I was recommended this restaurant by our air bnb host and it did not disappoint. The waiter was super friendly from the get-go and gave us his personal recommendations. The pasta was really tasty, but leans towards the saltier side. However the tiramisu was out of this world and I would recommend it to anyone that comes here!! So decadent, but not heavy by any means!

Perfect spot for dinner right around the corner from our hotel. Great service and it really seemed like a local spot which is always more appealing to me! Really enjoyed our night there tonight!!

All I can say is that it was worth the trek and wait. :) I can't remember what I had. Either spaghetti carbonara or cacio e peppe

Pasta with peas bacon and mushrooms

A really great restaurant in Rome, really great! Fantastic wine and food. The pasta is nothing like what you'd find in the states. Outstanding wine selections and great friendly servers. Loved it.

The best restaurant in all of Italy, in my opinion! Such a warm atmosphere with friendly staff and amazing food. Must haves are the stuffed zucchini flowers, the carbonara, and the tiramisu! Travelled all over Italy, eating my way through all the major cities, and I could not stop comparing everything I had to the food I ate at Popi Popi! I hope to make it back to Italy in the near future, and you can bet Popi Popi will be one of the first stops I make!

Beautiful restaurant with high quality authentic Italian food and THE BEST tiramisu I've ever eaten! The outside area is wonderful to sit and chat, the waiters are very attentive and take good care of you. Food is exceptional! Would give more stars if I could!

Great atmosphere, super local. We were the only ones speaking English in the restaurant, but luckily the staff speaks English which is great. However, you cannot split the bill on cards. The service was great, as was the food. We got bruschetta al pomodoro to start which had an interesting twist with celery added to it. As my main dish I got spaghetti con vongole, it was ok not the best thing on the menu. My other two friends got the popi popi pizza which was amazing, I highly recommend, and the trippa alla romana which I didn't try but looked very delicious. The prices were reasonable for the dishes that we got.

Spaghetti Alla Carbonara was absurdly salty. Hands down my least favorite meal in Italy. Very heavy.

Family diner at Popi Popi : 3 pizza, 1 calzone, 1 crustini, mozarellini. Good italian food. Missing local draft beer and wine per glass.

Terrible rude service. We sat for 20 min without service. Maybe food is good who knows--the staff was so rude we left.

Everyone needs a trip to Italy, if nothing more than to enjoy all of the food…read more When you've landed, you're hungry, and it's not lunch time, and it's not dinner time, you may end up, selling for whatever you can find is open We were absolutely starving, and wanting to indulge in our first Italian meal, what do you do when you're in Italy?! You may want to indulge in pasta or pizza! We walked in, and we were immediately seated. Air conditioning is nonexistent, and on a hot summer day, it would've been cooler to dine outside. had that been an option, and it was 95° out. As soon as we were seated, we were immediately told that Pizza and some of their baked Italian dishes were not going to be available. Boo. The wait staff seemed fairly nice, and offered to bring us glasses of water. The glasses were super tiny, and thankfully the waitress brought over a carafe of water. We asked for a few suggestions, since both of us had been craving pizza, and she suggested the Carbonara. She said it was one of the best dishes. While we were waiting for our food, several other tables were immediately filled up with other customers, families and friends alike. It was interesting that those tables were served pizza... I'll just leave it at that. The carbonara Was anything less than delicious. We both found the pasta to be barely cooked. Not al dente, but barely cooked. The seasoning was mediocre, and there was very little pork, which is supposed to be the highlight of this dish, in this dish. Diners tip: if you are not a local, keep in mind that your version of Customer Service may or may not fit what Customer Service is in Rome. Despite being hungry, I had a hard time, finishing the food, let alone actually eating it. The waitress only came over at the end to drop off the check, and when she noticed that I had barely eaten anything, first gave me a strange look, and then asked about it. It was definitely one of those situations where saying something was wrong would've been met with unwanted attention. This is in a place to add to your must try list... There are plenty of other places, even in and around this area that more than likely would be a better choice.

Bufala pizza with red sauce and lasagna was excellent. Seating was fast and good serviceread more
