World's Slowest Popeye's award goes to this location! You order at a kiosk but can't actually pay at it. Then an aged employee shuffles around screaming at the slowest workers. About ten minutes in, she asks who hasn't paid yet. Finally, she kept mumbling orders out then gets snappy when you ask her to repeat it. I can't believe how slow they are. The employee saw me walk up but you have to order on kiosk. She disappeared. About 5 minutes later she came back and bagged my chicken and potatoes, then left again. Another 5 minutes later, came back with my strawberry biscuit. No personal interaction. I just got Popeyes a few days ago, I will never forget the awful taste that went into my mouth and then came back out because it was so terrible. The biscuits? They are so dry, and they taste like a raw steak! The chicken? Ruined, tastes like raw steak. The fries, the one thing I held out hope for? Oh my god it's even worse than the rest of them. My fountain drink was flat, and every time I think of Popeyes, I physically gag because of how bad it was. I gagged several times while writing this. I don't think I can describe how horrible it was to eat at "Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen". Service was terrible, I waited 45 minutes for this sad, miserable excuse for a meal. Saw this Popeye's at the Travel America Center in Willcox, Arizona. Had me a craving for their Cinnamon Apple Pies! Got those plus Chocolate Beignets, and a Strawberry Cheesecake. I was sharing with friends! Service was so slow!! Took over 15 minutes to receive our desserts. Apple pies were terrific as always. Chocolate Beignets were pretty good. Placed an order on my app and still waited over 45 minutes for food. Nothing was cooked and sides weren't made. The cook came and talked to me and she was super apologetic and asked if we wanted anything extra for the wait. This restroom was about the cleanest (and best stocked) I have seen in a fast food or gas station by a highway. Now, about Popeye's... Solid 3, lol. Jennifer was our cashier and she was nice and friendly, just there was a little bit of a wait and we had a special request that usually is accommodated to in other locations, but here they said 'no'. It is OK, I guess we are just spoiled : ) This is a good place for a pit stop on I-10, Popeye's is in a gas station (Wilcox Travel Center) that is on the North side of the highway, exit 340, I think. I cannot believe the inefficiency and unprofessionalism here. I put my order in online 30 minutes before arriving (because I have been stuck here before just walking in and placing an order) and yet my 2 sandwiches were not ready. It also was not busy when I first got there but talked to a guy that had been waiting for 20 minutes for his food. I still waited another 30 minutes for my food. My son and I were in town for business and decided to visit this place. See what all the hype was over the chicken samwich. The staff at this place was quite comical. They couldn't get an order correct to save their life. The poor guy in front of us wanted green beans for a side, they gave him coleslaw... he said I want green beans, the employee with all his belonging in his shirt pocket got him two beans... the customer then said you gave me baked beans, I want green beans. That should have been a sign for us. We ordered and it took 30 minutes, they gave our food to someone else. I finally ordered and to get my sweet tea which I paid $3 for and it felt Luke it had been empty for quiet some time. We ate here for an early lunch on Saturday August 4th, 2018 and as always we were nothing less than amazed at the quality of this Popeye's Chicken!! The lady who took our order exceeded the standard for fantastic customer service. From beginning to end, we felt genuinely appreciated as customers choosing to spend our money with this restaurant. For that, we thank you so much. We've eaten at this popular restaurant chain all over the state and by far this Willcox location beats ALL other Popeye's hands down. Even though we eat here regularly as we travel to & fro on I-10, we have never had an unpleasant experience here. The smiles and professionalism are superb! The quality of all the menu items stay "true" to the brand and are served fresh, hot and flavorful.
