I can't believe how slow they are. The employee saw me walk up but you have to order on kiosk. She disappeared. About 5 minutes later she came back and bagged my chicken and potatoes, then left again. Another 5 minutes later, came back with my strawberry biscuit. No personal interaction. Looked through bag, no normal biscuit. I said something and manager say it is one or the other when ordering from kiosk like I was supposed to know. All other Popeyes I went to was not that way. I just got Popeyes a few days ago, I will never forget the awful taste that went into my mouth and then came back out because it was so terrible. The biscuits? They are so dry, and they taste like a raw steak! The chicken? Ruined, tastes like raw steak. The fries, the one thing I held out hope for? Oh my god it's even worse than the rest of them. Saw this Popeye's at the Travel America Center in Willcox, Arizona. Had me a craving for their Cinnamon Apple Pies! Got those plus Chocolate Beignets, and a Strawberry Cheesecake. I was sharing with friends! Service was so slow!! Took over 15 minutes to receive our desserts. Apple pies were terrific as always. Chocolate Beignets were pretty good. I went to this Popeyes located at a major truck stop at about 2:30 pm. It was quiet and I thought that meant it wouldn't take long. When I got to the counter to order, the girl behind the counter immediately let me know they had no filets for sandwiches, no fries, no shrimp, no ghost pepper, etc., etc. so basically could not take my order let alone fill my order. The young man at the register wasn't very friendly. I ordered red beans and rice and was informed they didn't have any with an attitude. I ordered a 4 piece and after I was down the interstate I realized I only had 2 chicken breasts. My fries were old and very cold. The Cole slaw was gross and tasted old. My son and I were in town for business and decided to visit this place. See what all the hype was over the chicken samwich. The staff at this place was quite comical. They couldn't get an order correct to save their life. The poor guy in front of us wanted green beans for a side, they gave him coleslaw... he said I want green beans, the employee with all his belonging in his shirt pocket got him two beans... the customer then said you gave me baked beans, I want green beans. We ate here for an early lunch on Saturday August 4th, 2018 and as always we were nothing less than amazed at the quality of this Popeye's Chicken!! The lady who took our order exceeded the standard for fantastic customer service. From beginning to end, we felt genuinely appreciated as customers choosing to spend our money with this restaurant. For that, we thank you so much. We've eaten at this popular restaurant chain all over the state and by far this Willcox location beats ALL other Popeye's hands down. Even though we eat here regularly as we travel to & fro on I-10, we have never had an unpleasant experience here. The smiles and professionalism are superb! The quality of all the menu items stay "true" to the brand and are served fresh, hot and flavorful.
