Super dry tenders were served instead of thrown away
Tanya C.

We love Popeye's chicken and have visited their locations across the country when we travel. We are currently in NJ and was craving them so we ordered from this location last night. Got to the drive thru at 9:20pm (they close at 10pm) and were told that they were out of fried chicken, but had tenders available. We went ahead and ordered 2 of their 11-piece tenders specials. Took the food back to our hotel and was shocked when we opened the box of chicken. The tenders were blackened and super dry, as if they had been sitting under a heat lamp for hours! The meat was so dry that it felt as if we were eating cardboard. My kids could barely finished one tender because they couldn't chew the meat. Absolutely horrible experience. I hope this location gets the training that it is better to throw away old chicken rather than serve them and lose customers. So very disappointed!

I love when a new business launches....it sort of sucks me in and I enjoy watching the operation of everything in its early days. Anywho, the restaurant is very clean, full of excited employees and the service was prompt and warm. It's a well lit restaurant. The kitchen looked clean and organized. Everyone was wearing gloves which was a plus in my book. I ordered the nuggets and a biscuit. They were tasty...temp warm not hot. I'm not a big fast food person, but I could see me coming here once in a blue moon.

Fantastic Fried Chicken! Pros: a) Great Spicy Fried Chicken on the bone. b) For those who prefer mild, they have two spice categories. c) They have chicken fingers, if you're not a fan of bones. d) Great Red Beans. e) They have those 1970's super-unhealthy tasty fried apple pies tossed in Cinnamon sugar. f) Clean Restrooms g) Shrimp also on the menu. Cons: a) It's great food, however I don't want to know the caloric values. b) Counter-Service, and the dining room was on "auto-pilot".

The best taste.

Their chicken sandwich is what keeps me coming back. Otherwise, the rest of the menu is just fine. B

Three staff members had their masks under their chin while handling and serving food. Manager right there.

I am guessing that the rent on Main Street is killing them. Lillos has a $20 cheesesteak but it is twice the girth and much better than this one. Also, the store does not have a menu available so you have to watch a rotating screen which scrolls through the items too fast, and I felt pressured to tell the cashier what I wanted to order. It is mostly a takeout place, but their online menu was not working on my phone. Unfortunately, my search for a premium sandwich in Moorestown continues.

I watched several people pick up orders while I was there, but nobody else ate in-house. It was fairly busy, so it took 20 min for my order of the Batman & Robin and Cooper Sharp cheese fries to be ready. That plus a bottle of water totaled $30. And I paid cash, which saves you 4%. The Batman & Robin was good and unique, but was it in my top 10 cheesesteaks? No. The fries were overly salted in some areas and had no salt in others. They did not skimp on the cheese. My honest opinion? If I'm going to spend that much on a cheesesteak, I'll go to Lillo's, which is better in quality, quantity and ratio of meat/cheese, and taste. (Unfortunately, Lillo's has limited hours.) This place is most popular/famous for its wings, though. I would give them another try with an order of wings. Tip: Paying cash saves you 4%.

I ordered my meal ahead of time through DoorDash, and it turned out to be an easy and quick pickup with the food being hot and fresh when I arrived. The wings are by far the best Korean fried chicken I've had, with every piece packed with juicy meat. This is exactly what you expect when ordering this dish, and the honey sesame sauce did not disappoint one bit. The wings were perfectly coated, and there was still a pool of sauce for dipping at the bottom of the container. Next time I will definitely turn up the heat and try one of their spicier sauce options to experience that flavor profile. The nicely fried mandoo pork dumplings were full of a delicious filling mixture that paired perfectly with the soy vinegar dipping sauce. The dumplings had a crispy exterior that gave way to a flavorful, well-seasoned interior. The only thing I'm disappointed with is that I didn't discover Dolsot House sooner.

It remained packed our entire time there. BYOB so my girlfriend and I brought two beers with us and they provided glasses. We ordered three main dishes and two appetizers and all of the food was amazing. Soups, dumplings, bibimbap, bulgogi... all flavorful and delicious. Despite the crowded dining room, everything came out quickly. The servers were all incredibly kind, efficient and professional. This was my first time back here in over a decade but based on our experience, I hope to come more regularly in the future.
