It's a place selling records, most of which haven't been made in 30 years or more. It's like leaving a bad review for a used car dealership because they don't have the Ferrari you're looking for. The other guy was complaining about prices. I don't know where these folks are getting their information from. Although he was complaining about masks not being worn and we all see how that turned out. That being said, I think the place is terrific. There isn't anything else like it in Baton rouge. The place is in New Orleans have less of a selection and the prices are even more expensive. John, the owner, is very kind and polite. He goes out of his way to make sure folks are able to get the vinyls they want whenever he gets them. Again, it's not like he's ordering this stuff from a catalog of new goodies. It's all vintage stuff. I've purchased several records from him over the last year or so without any issue. In fact, I just left the store where I purchased another one. Staff is friendly. The store was small but with a good selection of comics, including some nice older wall books, a couple rows of long boxes, & a decent selection of new books. Seemed to have a smaller selection of sports cards & toys. The man working behind the counter (owner?) was nice, greeting me as I entered with my 2 kids. He offered assistance but I didn't need any. He continued his conversation with a regular customer about old sci-fi episodes. Eavesdropping on their conversation made me feel right at home. Just like my local comic book store. When you arrive, you walk through a pretty garden complete with a wonderful, old fountain and climbing rose bushes. You see antique furniture and accessories all over the garden. The store is made up of beautiful rooms with antiques of every kind. I was impressed by their reproductions (marked by pink tags) created right there in the store's back workroom.
