I'm going to preface this by saying I am not a comic book reader or collector, so this is a review…read moreby someone outside of the comic world. This store is small, but it's jam packed with all kinds of goodies from cards to comic books and graphic novels and action figures. In the front room all of the comics are organized so you can easily find what you are looking for and action figures and other toys and collectibles are in the back room. For me, the best part of the store was the baseball and football cards you can buy- many of them unusual cards. Weird fact about me: when I was a kid I collected baseball and football cards. At this store they have a glass case full of a lot of rookie cards of some pretty famous players. I think they coolest card I saw here was a Mickey Mantel card. I had never seen one up close before and I couldn't believe it only cost $175. If I was a collector these days, I would have to splurge on that just because I think it would be neat to have.

They were super nice as you can see we got becktee books there ewe were ligt there for only 45secread more

Today I finally had some time to peruse around, and I am very glad that I did! It took me a while to walk the entire store, but I really enjoyed the setup. Most of the furniture was staged with vintage and antique items to look like actual rooms, even though there are no real partitions throughout the store. In terms of stock, everything was good quality. No junk here! Their selection of vintage and costume jewelry is excellent as well. I bought a lovely brooch and earrings. The prices here are very reasonable, and the owner is very knowledgeable about her stock. One would expect this to be the case in an antique store; however, I have gone into MANY antique stores with poorly labeled, over-priced antiques and sellers who did not really know what they are selling. My favorite so far were the brulot glasses I found in uptown New Orleans labeled "Irish Mugs." I'll share that story another time. The owner is also amazingly helpful, upbeat, and energetic. If you are looking for antiques/vintage in Baton Rouge, do not miss this place!

There are several local vendors selling items in The Foyer, and each area has a different theme or flavor. The local artists on display are phenomenal. You can find something in all price ranges and styles as well. I found some special pieces for my mom and a gift for a student at LSU. I can't wait to go back after the holidays and shop for my house! The store is clean and easy to get around in. While sometimes the popular stalls may get a little cramped, everyone is respecting distance. Also, the numerous times I was offered assistance was great. I even saw one employee search through several ornaments to help one patron find an obscure item she thought might be there. Lucky for her, it was! I didn't get to go to the cafe this time (Heather V's), but i guarantee I will be back for some delicious sandwich or salad very soon!
