The LSU Museum of Art was a really pleasant surprise…read more I honestly wasn't expecting much going in, but it ended up exceeding my expectations. There's a lot more here than you'd think, with a solid variety of exhibits that make it worth spending some time exploring. It's also very inexpensive, which makes it an easy add to your itinerary. Even better, students get in for free, which is a huge plus. I believe they also offer free admission on certain days (though I'm not exactly sure when), which makes it even more accessible. Overall, a great, low-key museum that's definitely worth checking out - especially if you're already in the area. A hidden gem in Baton Rouge.

The student worker at the desk was very helpful. There is lots to do and see within the Shaw Center and surrounding downtown Baton Rouge. The gift shop below was also wonderful and not too expensive. The displays were well thought out and had lots of sitting areas throughout for observations or breaks. They offer first Sundays of the month for free with some kind of free engaging event to go along.

I've been with my god child and they are the best with kids (you know they like to touch). The owner is so nice and many times you can see her in the front making pieces or explaining to other customer. While you walk around you feel safe and at ease. Tons of books and decks to choose from. Huge collection of crystals from raw to tumbled and cleansing material. Since the summer flash flood the store has re arranged and the set it still amazing and flowy.

After visiting recently, I had to come share my experience. They just opened November 2024 and the concept is paint and sip but at your leisure. They don't time you and they have a bar. Win win. The drinks were perfection, the staff was great, and it's just really chill vibes. There is a date night package or you can go all out like we did and have the neon paint room and stencil drawing. Highly recommend you do that neon room. It was so fun splatting paint around (which they dress you up for). If you come alone or with a group this place is bound to be a fun time. Two to three weeks ago I was shopping for a buffet/entertainment piece at Nadeau's on Perkins Road…read more I went back yesterday and found they had a huge price increase on a couple of the pieces I was considering. The price on one piece jumped from $387 to $725 (that is approx. 85% increase), another piece increased from $287 (look on their facebook page post on 8/18/21), yesterday (9/5/21) it's priced at $510 (about 80% increase). I will never shop there again. Beware!!! I even asked an employee if they had price increases, he said yes, due to COVID. Please tell me how COVID impacted merchandise already on their floor in the past two weeks?????? See photos of a third example of a price increase. Note: the higher prices in pictures are the current prices as of yesterday. I ask the owner again, how does COVID impact the pricing of items that you have had on your floor for two weeks. You raised the prices after having received them, priced them and placed on your sales floor. Merchandise that you already purchased and paid the shipping on! COVID has nothing to do with your greed. There is no moral/logical reason to increase prices by 80-85%!!!!!

If you're at the parking lots around the mall, you will see the lights from there, too. What are you waiting for? It's easy to park and access this from Picardy. Will be enjoyed by all ages... I promise!
