Cool for a look around, friendly and attentive staff. Clothing sorted by era, which is a bit different for me as I usually gravitate to certain colors (blues) rather than eras. Prices weren't cheap, but clothing was well sorted and all items were special pieces that packed a punch; nothing boring here. Although my usual clothing selections are a bit more timeless and less bright (so I didn't buy clothing here), I thoroughly enjoyed poking around and making friends with the staff. Bought a couple vintage-reproduction pairs of glasses that I will thoroughly enjoy- quite stylish. A really fun experience. Step back in time y'all!! They have some groovy and very chic items here! I came here looking for some fashionable accessories and found an array of sunglasses, jewelry and so much more. They have clothing organized by decade, too, so if you are going to a costume party that you need to dress up as a hippie flower child, you're in luck because they have stuff for men & women here. Dressing rooms are available for those that need it. Everyone here has always been super helpful, when I am looking for something particular. It's located in the popular mid-city area and fairly easy to get a parking spot. Looking for a gift? You may be able to find something here that you may not be able to find at any other store. You're new Happy Place! I live for vintage and this store has it nailed. You'd be hard-pressed to find anything so organized and well picked in the US, especially the South. The owner has pickers all over the US working for him and all items are meticulously cleaned and mended/altered before ever seeing the front of the store. The music is fresh and upbeat - I'm consistently bothering the staff to get me the song or Spotify information. They have an amazing selection of purses, jewelry, and candles too. Time Warp is totally my kind of store. I love the vintage, retro, classic, rockabilly and pin up style clothes they have here. Time Warp represents a lot of different eras and decades and that's really convenient when you're browsing for something special or even if you're unsure of the style you're going for. This is a consignment shop so some of the prices are reasonable whereas some are pricier due to the preservation of classic clothes. They have some very unique and different clothing options here and it's a great experience to be able to step in Time Warp and essentially go back in time. I wanted so badly to love this place but honesty so disappointed. There is not a lot of clothing bigger than a size 4 and a lot of the pricing is ridiculous for the quality of clothing. When I went I found 5 different articles of clothing I was interested in but were priced $68 and had major flaws on the clothing. I'm not talking a small stain which is excusable for vintage clothing, but huge crotch holes in pants and shorts, busted seams, flaws that would render the clothing unwearable but somehow it was still deemed as sellable for $68+. read more

Come step back in time in the Time Warp! An absolute GEM in Baton Rouge! This is by far the best vintage clothing store in Baton Rouge, and in fact it's one of the best I've ever been to anywhere. Whoever buys for this store has great taste because everything is always in great condition. Many items in the store are truly treasures. They have a wonderful selection of boots, belts, costume jewelry, and new old stock sunglasses. They also have a selection of used vinyl records, however I think many are VERY overpriced. I do have one big pet peeve about this place. They burn incense often and I'm pretty allergic to it. I know a lot of other people are too, and I wish they'd switch to soy candles or something. read more

I can't believe no one has written a review for this place! It's spectacular! If you love vintage, this is the shop for you. I live literally 1 minute (driving) from this place and I have to force myself from not going in and putting myself into debt! They touch on every era since the 1920s. They sell everything from dresses, bottoms, tops, jewelery, hats, ties from all different eras. Most of their stuff is moderately priced. It is worth spending the money to have something that is one of a kind. I recently purchased two pairs of sunglasses that look like they came from the 1960s. Best vintage in town! The have a great assortment of clothes from the 40s-90s, shoes, accessories, costume jewelry, and BELTS! A true gem of Baton Rouge. The staff determined my needs immediately and had suggestions for me in the fitting room when I was ready to try on. Where to begin? First off- can we please retrain millennial brains? "Welcome in" is not a proper greeting. It is NOT PROPER grammar. I'm tired of hearing it. Pass it on. Their taste in music at the shop is ... seriously offensive at best and absolutely tragic at worst. I did not feel in my element while shopping there. Whoever dates their clothing should be fired. They had a plethora of things that were not dated correctly. Their prices are unreasonable- NAY - UNFAIR! ($68 for a simple cotton dress that has the sleeve almost completely torn off? NO THANKS) Mostly 80's and 90's stuff.... their selection of 50's leaves a lot to be desired. They have a lot of 80's things atrociously mislabeled. I would have saved a handful of things from their grasp, but their prices were just beyond silly. read more

So I loved the time warp. They had a such a cutesy boutique area to support other small businesses and such a huge variety of clothing I think anyone could enjoy isn't just looking for some vintage pieces. I have two problems about this store. I also loved the staff. They helped me find clothing pieces and were just lovely and helpful. 1.) they are trying to sell used and aged items as if they new. Most things in the store are going to be priced $32+. A pair of denim shorts or pants is going to be $45+. They are allowed to price whatever feels right but just I thought that it seemed a bit heinous. 2.) I am a size 13/14 and very very few items could fit. None of the denim shorts or pants could fit. The dresses are not in my size either. A few jackets, graphic tees, and a few blouses would fit. Most thing in the store are going to be for sizes 2-10. So, it's definitely not curvy girl friendly. read more

This is a fantastic spot for unique finds. I thought it might be a bit young for me, since I'm basically vintage myself, but I was so wrong. I found a fantastic Mardi Gras ball gown with the assistance of McKenzie. This woman is great. She outfitted me with the perfect earrings and even mended an area where some rhinestones were loose. First time ever going and fell in love with the place! Amazing selection, and the customer service is awesome! 10/10 great environment! Also- bring your mask. They have some to borrow, but I'd bring your own just in case they run out or if you feel uncomfortable using reusable ones they offer (they sanitize them after every use). Very rude sales associates. Last time I was there, a gentleman clerk told me I was too big to try on a dress I had in my hands while I was just looking. He said if I rip it, I'll have to pay for it. Great vintage store! They have a huge selection of wearable vintage and costume vintage. I found an amazing hat from the 60's for around $50, and I can't wait to wear it. This place is so cool, it's so much fun to look through all the old clothes and try them on. I don't know where the buyer finds all those clothes but kudos to whoever it is! Only thing was my friend really had to go to the bathroom and they claimed they didn't have one which i thought was rude...we couldn't even stick around to play in all the clothes because she had to go so bad!! Time Warp is a gem in Baton Rouge! I always seem to find something I didn't come in for and leave with more than I expected. GREAT place for vintage clothing. They have everything! They are a little pricey, but as is most stores labeled VINTAGE.... It's refreshing to see a place in BR with so much character, especially, in Mid-City where good and different businesses are popping up. You can literally go in TW with no clothes on (I have NOT done this) and walk out dressed in true vintage style from head to toe. They have a lot of cool boots, leather jackets and vintage sweaters. It caters more to the ladies, but I expected that. Still, I can always find something even if it's just a t-shirt, snap shirt or vest. I was actually pleased with the prices. They seemed fair to me, considering everything is one of a kind. I've been to a couple places in Austin and NOLA and it's ridiculous how pricey they can be. This store is absolutely FABULOUS!!! Now this is what I call a real boutique. It doesn't matter if I am looking for everyday fun wear or something for a special event I can always find it in there. I really appreciate how the staff is always so very helpful when I need assistance from finding items for my body type or giving me a honest opinion on the items I have. That is something I can not get from most clothing stores. Last but not least I NEVER have to worry about going anywhere and having a awkward moment dressed like anybody else due to the one of a kind clothing in the store. read more

I've went to this store several times and I have never found anything worth running my debit card over. In fact, I have only found two shirts to bring to the dressing room. I really only brought those to the dressing room because they were on the clearance rack. I don't know if the same people are working in there from when I went a year ago (my last visit) but I hope not. The clerks weren't rude but they weren't very attentive and I believe I was profiled one time and watched awfully hard. Regardless, everytime I have been in there it seems like I deal with someone flakey and they are not very welcoming. Especially given the fact they followed me and my gf around the store for twenty minutes making us feel really uncomfortable and to top it off they didn't even try to mask what they were doing all that much. It is kind of offensive to think some low rent minimum wage worker is wrongly sizing up a home owner as a thief. Please don't get me wrong as I am not a classist in the least but if you wrongfully prejudge me then I can't help but fight fire with water (hence this review). The real icing on the cake is the fact that there are thrift stores in the area with better selection and granular prices in comparison. read more
