I have shopped at many record shops, large and small and this was one of my favorites thus far. Like why come here when I can get it for significantly less and delivered to my door I'm way better condition. Owner was rude and seemed like he was mad I was there. Also, the place smelled bad and had the same record on loop 6 times. Felt sick leaving, not pleasant at all.

I was unable to find the particular vinyl she wanted and the guy who was working tried his best to find it at other record stores in the area. I didn't catch his name, but he was friendly and willing to help me find it. Although I was unable to find what my fiancée wanted, I did me two vinyls I've been looking for. One of them was Out of the Cellar by Ratt. I use to listen to that album all the time as a kid. The other vinyl I found was Back Home Again by John Denver. I would put that album in my top 5 favorite albums. Besides selling vinyls, they did have guitars, drums, bass and pianos for sale. Really nice record store and I hope to stop by again if I'm ever in the Baton Rouge area.

Only allowed myself a few purchases today, but so many cool finds in here. Not at all what I expected. Not sure if it was a house before or what, but it's kind of set up that way with many different rooms. Lots of china, jewelry, unique art, furniture, a craft room, media room with vinyl records, DVDs, and books. Truly a cool find in south Baton Rouge!

Upon entering, a salesperson was wrapping a Christmas present in the middle of the sales floor . . directly in front of the counter. She did not acknowledge me when I walked in. Did not utter one word. I immediately thought about walking out but came in to look for a specific item and proceeded to look around. About 15 minutes later while I browsing she walks past me and said, "oh, how are you?" As if she had seen me for the first time. I didn't reply, just gave her the löök. Seldom do I acquire assistance when shopping because I know what I want. However, I will not shop or spend my money were I am not welcomed or at the very least acknowledged upon entering. I'm leaving 3 stars because they have unique finds.

They said they did not know how to do the basic installation of a stereo on a van conversion. What is odd is that the stereo in the front of the van is the same as any other van, but they claimed to not work on vans. They had promised to help out with a ride that would have only been two miles from the shop, then reneged later - lying and claiming they had not made the offer - out of pure spite. Happily, all ended well because we took our vehicle to another, much more experienced shop and had adults work on it instead. The work the new shop did was phenomenal - they are highly skilled and experienced (almost 30 years of experience) and it shows. Music Express Car Audio and Skate Shop are the most immature, unprofessional group of people we have ever encountered in a business setting. Not recommended.
