The layout of this Miniso is similar to other Miniso stores and is a good size. The shelves were fully stocked and organized. There are a lot of cute items. I purchased a MINISO YOYO Sure Win Collection figure surprise box ($24.99) and a MINISO YOYO Disney Pixar Toy Story 5 Growing Up Series figure surprise box ($24.99). Both are really well done and good quality. From May 22nd - August 31st, there is a stamp challenge member exclusive where I collected YOYO digital stamps and unlocked amazing bonus rewards. I scored 1 stamp for every $10 spent, earned 80 bonus points when I reach 4 stamps, and grabbed an extra 150 points and redeemed a cute YOYO tote bag when I collected 9 stamps. The receipt even has an illustration of YOYO and a QR code to track status of the stamp challenge. Every 20 points equals $1 in savings so I was able to rack up 230 points and can redeem points on any purchase over $10 before tax. Points expire in 365 days from the day they are earned.

I was surprised by the ton of Sanrio plushies, dolls, stationary, and other paraphernalia, including food-related items. I knew Sanrio was making a come back, though it's like Hello Kitty central inside this store in particular. I've dropped by their locations to pick up a drink or snack since they are more reasonably priced than many cafes and convenience stores in the neighborhood, though their snack/food prices are a little higher than going to an Asian grocery. In general these type of stores there's not a lot of staff interaction though I will say this one had someone welcoming at the door. The reason for a slightly lower rating though is since there seems to be a proliferation of these stores that provide kinda useful things but really are close to single use and create a lot of unnecessary trash (I'm looking at you Five Below and fast fashion). These are easy and cheap conveniences and entertainment, though I question the environmental impact. Of course I'm not speaking from a place above reproach, I'm surely a contributor to this as well, it's just been on my mind recently.

I…read moresigned up and got chosen to select in the free beginner-friendly crochet workshop for Pierre the Penguin. On Friday, September 25, I attended the workshop and a Pierre the Penguin kit and a bottle of water was at each of the seats. I was nervous because this would be the first time I crochet, but Grace, the instructor, was so patient and went step-by-step. I had a wonderful time with other Wooblers. Everyone was so friendly and encouraging. The Woobles NYC Pop-Up has definitely become integrated in the community and so glad they are here.
