I got the Jasmine Green Milk Tea with tapioca boba, 50% less sugar, less ice, and with oat milk. The drink was okay, the sweetness level was perfect. However I felt like the milk tea didn't have a strong flavor or presence. I would've liked to taste the tea more in my drink. The tapioca was really good, I liked the consistency and chewy texture. The boba part of the drink was executed very well. Service was fast and the staff were friendly. They had free stickers! There's a bunch of cute stickers and trinkets by the cashier. Inside, there were a bunch of tables to choose from. When you go inside you'll see that this place also shares the space with an ice cream shop. The interior was very colorful and we enjoyed our time and drinks there. I'd come back and try their other flavors.

As someone who is Asian and really loves boba, I'd have to say my drink at Pop Bubble Tea was mediocre. I ordered a black milk tea with boba with half sugar and less ice. The workers behind the register were really sweet and gave me a free sticker; they also told me a little about the shop. However, the service couldn't make up for the unauthentic taste and too-sweet-drink. I'm not sure I'd come back here since I prefer authentic boba, but I will admit that it quelled the boba cravings while I was in the mountains for a week.

Located in the Merrimon Square plaza, Pop Bubble Tea also shares space with The Hop Ice Cream Shop - so it's a great place to meet your sweet cravings. I was greeted by 2 friendly ladies working behind the counter. I ordered a mango fruit tea with black tea. Normally, I would have taken it with green or jasmine tea; the black tea was very good too! The also offer packaged asian snacks and adorable kawaii gifts. A very cute and chill place to enjoy boba. Looking forward to more visits.

So glad this store opened up because the other boba options in Asheville are questionable. The milk tea was not too sweet at 50% sugar and you can tell that the tea is actually brewed and not made from powder. The tapioca pearls could be a little chewier but I am looking forward to trying the other toppings!

So cute!! Really tasty drink and they had so many special drinks that all seemed super good. The employees were so nice as well. I can't get over how cute the decor was and the mascot was adorable. I got the purple dragon with dairy milk.

The boba tea here brings me back to roaming in Taiwan grabbing drinks on a hot day. I am elated that Eva brought the authentic taste of Taiwan here! Highly recommended!

For the price paid, I my only critique is I really really wish there were more matcha in it. The local honey I added is carrying the flavor alone

Super nice staff. The tapioca was really good. The milk tea itself was decent, and I liked the ability to choose what kind of milk I wanted.

She said it was the best shaved ice she's ever had and way better than any she even had in Hawaii. I was intrigued and suggested to my husband we stop by after dinner one night. This cafe is soooo cute. I'm here on vacation and trying not to work, but if i needed to work for a few hours I would definitely go here. I'd work and eat one dessert after another. The mango shaved ice was even better than expected. It was ginormous and I was full from dinner, but did a pretty good job eating most of it because it was too delicious to stop. My husband got a piece of blueberry cheesecake and i couldn't help, but have a few bites of that as well. I was hoping to make it back a second (or third) time, but sadly don't think we are going to have time. Another reason to come back to Asheville and it may just be my first stop!

Loved their menu as well. Although their mini cakes and other treats appealed to me as well, I opted to try their Taro Shaved Ice (they had 2 other flavors as well...think Mango and Mocha?). Well, their Taro Shaved Ice was PERFECT!!! The shaved ice was nice and dry, and the toppings (Boba, Lychee jelly, and Strawberries...even whipped cream on top) were generous and delicious! LOVED the place...and I can't wait to return! My husband will absolutely loved their version of Shaved Ice...What a treat to come!

They have options for those who want to sit at a table and for those who want to sit on the floor. The tea selections are far and wide! The menu is huge! At first I was overwhelmed with the options, but the lady at the counter was nice and helpful with recommendations. We were bummed to have missed out on the lunch since the kitchen closes at 3pm, but that made us even more eager to come back at another time. Both dessert options we chose - the S'mores Tart and Black Sesame Ginger Cake - were delicious! I chose the masala tea with rooibos with oat milk and honey. I loved the way it was served, and even though I usually drink my tea straight, it was fun to experiment with the milk and honey. I will definitely be coming back many more times and check out their other locations too!

My favorite parts are the aisle full of alllllll the sauces, and the wide selection of drinks ranging from canned boba to bottles of ramune soda. I was happy to finally find some hot sesame oil here in Asheville. The only downside is that it doesn't have the large selection of fresh meat and produce like other large Asian supermarkets I am used to back in larger cities. I'll definitely be back when I need some more Asian food items.

The stores isn't large, but it's pretty well stocked. I have been to the larger Asian market, YZ, and I think Lee's Asian Market has a smaller overall stock of things, but what it does have, you'll get several brands. For example, I needed Pandan extract. At YZ, I could only find the McKormick's Buco Pandan flavoring. At Lee's there were 3 brands of Pandan flavoring, including the Pandan flavored paste I was looking for, which is also sold by Amazon for about $6, at Lee's it was only $1.50 or so. The owner, a nice Chinese woman speaks English pretty well and is very friendly. That's somewhat rare in Asian markets. She walked me over to the steamer area and gave me some advice on using the bamboo cone, which is what I ended up buying. She also helped me find the frozen Pandan leafs. She is super sweet and nice, which I appreciated. I also found some fresh sticky rice and sweet banana cakes near the register. They had two square Banh Tet (Vietnamese new year cakes with mung bean and pork) as well. I haven't seen fresh cakes like that at the other Asian stores, so Lee's gets bonus points for this!
