DO NOT USE! HORRIFIC EXPERIENCE! Pool was supposed to be completed in two months. The pool was…read moredug and no further work was done for 7 weeks! It took 4+ months to complete. The hardscape around the pool was improperly installed and the very expensive stone had to be replaced two times and still is unevenly laid, the stone poorly cut and now cracking along with the grout. Neither the owner, Tom McKenzie, nor the manager, Diane Perkins, would accept responsibility for the poor job. The "foreman" they assigned to the job, Mickey, did nothing other than sit in his truck and even admitted he knew nothing about the hardscape and did not know what to tell the subcontractor who they hired to do the job. He asked US to mark all the tiles that we thought needed to be replaced when the entire job needed to be redone. Then the contractor replaced the tile with the broken/cracked tiles he had pulled up. Ridiculous and absurd! Tom McKenzie is a very nice man, but what a complete disappointment this has been. We have since told multiple friends in the Brenham, Burton, Round Top area who are building pools to stay far, far away from Sun Pools. We just want them to hold up their end of the contract. We fulfilled ours by making full payment with the understanding with Tom that they would remedy the situation if it worsened. Well, it did and they won't do anything. If you don't want to have a battle or end up in court, find a different pool contractor. Sun Pools gives all pool contractors a bad name!
