Was told that because I use a tarp cover and not a safety cover that they would not even come out to look at my filter. They claimed my pool would be dirtier than they could handle because I use a tarp cover. This does not sound like "expertise." Pool Snobs might be a better name. read more

After having our pool opened this spring, my original company didn't tighten all the equipment telling me I needed new motor , plumbing etc. it was leaking and sucking in air. Pool experts came out and tightened everything. Didn't need anything new like previous company said. Highly recommend. This company knows what it's doing! read more

We've used the pool experts for 20 years and they've always taken excellent care of our pool. Recently we've had to put our house for sale sooner than anticipated and called Debbie to see if they could come out early but she said they couldn't fit us in until the week of June 11th. Then surprise!! They came out a week early, around June 6th, and opened the pool! They were even able to resolve a block in the skimmer line! The service crew are extremely knowledgeable and always walk my husband through what they're doing and how to do things for the pool. Debbie may sound gruff, but she takes care of her customers! You should not use The Pool Experts - based on their advice I spent $800 on something that didn't need to be fixed. When I went back to them for service this year, they not only didn't offer to make me whole, but they no longer want me as a customer after 15 plus years. Last year we had our pool opened as we have done for the past 15 years by The Pool Experts. Following the visit, we received the checklist stating "All systems good and operational". When I arrived home, I noticed that our pool control panel (in the house) was all lit with red lights and not working. I called Debbie, she sent a technician to check things out. Per Sean's professional opinion, the wiring from the outside control panel to the indoor panel was bad. I would need to call an electrician to replace the wires. After calling the electrician and having all the wires replaced from my control panel to the indoor house panel and spending $800, the panel still wasn't working (the wires were obviously not what was wrong with the control panel) Another call to The Pool Experts to explain that we just finished replacing all wiring with no success. The Pool Experts came out again to diagnose the problem. This time the serviceman took my house panel and hooked it directly outside to the outside control panel. Still, no success until he unplugged a wire from the heater. Success!!! The control panel was showing all the proper readings!!!!!! When I called for the opening this year and after speaking to Debbie, I discussed the fact that last year we spent $800 unnecessary to rewire based on their recommendation; I asked if they could offer me a discount on a new heater since they didn't correctly diagnose the problem (The cost of the new heater would be over $4300) I was told by Debbie that no discounts would be offered and that Sean gave us his best professional opinion of our issue with all his years of experience. I did point out that his opinion was wrong and cost us unnecessarily. I then called the company that installed my pool to get a price on a replacement heater. Their cost was $1000 less than The Pool Experts' price (The Pool Experts unit did include an extra exhaust valve and piece that stops the water from moving through the heater when the heater isn't in use.) My original pool installer said in their experience these items are not necessary for the heater and my original heater lasted for 18 years. I called Deb back and left a message to tell her that they should cancel the heater install and just do the pool opening as planned. When Debbie called back, she told me that after talking to the owner, Tom, that I should ask my original pool company that is installing the new heater to also open my pool, they wouldn't be doing it for me. Typical South Jersey company and attitude. Called to have them open my pool and they said "We don't do that anymore." When I asked what they do, they said, "Well ... we do open pools but we don't do it after the end of June." When I mentioned that it was still June - they really didn't care. Absolutely outstanding! I was struggling to get on the schedule with another pool company with excellent reviews for over a month, and finally found The Pool Experts based on a recommendation from a friend. They came out quickly as scheduled and the team was amazing. They worked tirelessly on the pool for two days straight and I could not believe the results. The pool was in horrible condition as we just purchased the house and the property was unoccupied for two years. I went with them at the end of 2018 season for a new filter and a month of weekly cleaning and chemicals and pool closing (because I wanted to support a local business). My pool developed a lot of staining during this time that I didn't have previously. The pool closing was not what we expected at all. We purchased a loop lock cover the year before it looked very nice and clean when covered. This year it looks bad. Before they put the cover on we and asked the guys from pool experts to put on the air pillows to cushion it on the rough coping of our pool they said ok when I arrived home from work I realized they decided they didn't want to and just put trash bag material all over the edges. They left the air pillows out. It really is Just not pleasing to look at. I use my yard all fall and I purchased the clean loop lock cover for safety and the pleasing look while pool cover is on. After we complained Someone came out to put the bags in and they were not put in right again When we called back we got bad customer service so we will definitely not be returning for 2019 read more

Our pool is still under warranty from the installer Swim-Mor. On July 3rd, I noticed that the pool motor was working. I called Swim-Mor and they claimed that they could not send anyone until after the July 4th holiday because although they were working they didn't have a crew in the area that day. I explained that we were having people over for holiday parties but they wouldn't budge. I called The Pool Experts and they promptly returned my call. The owner even followed up from out of town. I said we were having people over around 2 to swim and they fit us into their schedule. When the guys came they didn't have the part that we needed so they went back to the warehouse, got the part and were back with the repair done and pool motor working properly so we could use the pool. Unfortunately Swim-Mor wouldn't pay for the cost of the repair because they claimed that they would have done it just not the days that we needed it to be done.
