Ponte Vedra Title handled the escrow + closing signing for my parents' house sale in December 2017. It was absolutely the smoothest and fastest escrow EVER in my experience - two weeks and two days from the time the offer was signed until the proceeds from the sale were in their bank account.
Throughout the process, all of the individuals we encountered here were extremely pleasant and professional and kind to me - but far more importantly, to my 85 year old parents who were selling the house in which they had lived since 1968.
The receptionist (I'm sorry I didn't get her name for sure but from the picture on the website I think it might be Sandy) was friendly and professional and guided me into the correct end of the building when I called while driving into the lot to ask exactly where they were located - and a really nice first impression holding the door for my parents making their way up the curb.
Nolan Winarchick was very friendly to me - lightning fast responses to phone calls and emails and such a pleasure working with him - excellent communication and attention to detail for sure. He uncovered a lien against the house from 37 years ago which had long since been satisfied but there was no documentation for it in hand as proof. Because of Nolan's troubleshooting in advance, my dad and I were able to go to the original lender and secure the paperwork we needed so it would be recorded in time to not delay or derail the closing - Nolan also stayed on top of the recording process to be sure it happened and then emailed us once it was finished. I knew he wasn't going to let anything slip through the cracks - it was a really good feeling.
Nolan also expedited the preparation of the paperwork my parents needed to sign for closing - so I could accompany them to the signing on Wednesday afternoon and ease the process for them a bit before I flew home on Friday.
Ruth K McDonald was the attorney who was actually at the conference table and walked my parents through the signing process. She was so relaxed and kind and considerate of them - she gained their trust and kept things moving but didn't rush them - explained what they were signing and why - assured them that a wire transfer was the safest way to get the proceeds from the sale into their account and was cool about my calling Wells Fargo on the fly while we were at the table to confirm the charge for it for my parents - they were concerned that it would be really expensive but it was only $15 for the bank to receive the wire.
The most excellent part was that even without being told, Ruth realized and then was sensitive to the fact that selling the house was an extremely difficult process for my mom and that this transaction was a huge deal for both of my parents. It wasn't like it was a cookie cutter approach and let's just get it signed and done already - there is a place for that for sure and some sellers and buyers including me are totally good with that - but it was important in our situation to have a certain vibe happening at that table ... and I cannot for one second imagine a nicer signing/selling experience for my parents than Ruth created for them that afternoon and I appreciate it more than I can ever express.
Icing on the cake for us was that the company prepared a limited legal power of attorney just in case any last minute signatures were needed - which would save my parents a trip back out to the beach -- and Nolan also continued to work with me through email after I was back home here - taking care of getting some extra information I had written up about the house into the hands of the buyers when they came in for signing a few days later. Sometimes once closing is finished, the company is not there for you anymore - this one is - excellent from start to finish and then beyond.
It would be my pleasure to speak with anyone and give a reference for your company in the future.
Thank you to all of you from the very deepest part of my heart for making this such a nice smooth peaceful experience for my parents as well as for me. read more
