We feel so fortunate to have found Neil! He began by figuring out how to fix the leakage issue in our stream, then gave us some great advice on improving the beach area at the other end of the pond to make it look more natural. He also added another stream that flows beautifully into the pond through the pebbled beach and has a different feel from the first stream. He also planted the whole pond in such a beautiful way, listening to our concerns about avoiding invasive plants and choosing ones that create a lovely harmony of textures and an overall palette of reds and greens. It's just exquisite! We loved Neil's creativity and his great artistic sense, and we ended up with a water feature that delights us every day! Plus, he's just a pleasure to work with -- very responsive and patient and helpful. Thanks so much, Neil! read more

Neil did a great job fixing our waterfall fixture. During the consultation he evaluated our situation and asked how much we wanted to invest in fixing our waterfall. I let him know how much effort we were willing to put in and he came up with a great solution within our budget. Once he was done, I was happy with the fixture, but he thought it would look better with a stronger pump. He ended up returning our pump and picking up a stronger one the same day. He was right, the waterfall looks much better with the new pump and I'm very grateful he took the extra effort to make sure we were happy. read more

My small pond is once again beautifully clear thanks to Neil and his excellent team member Olivier. Pond Revival is conscientious about the surrounding garden, taught me what dragon fly larvae look like and even diverted the dirty pond water to some trees that would greatly benefit from the fertilizer. I've used Pond Revival for several years now and am delighted with his knowledge, skill, and fair pricing. read more

Neil has done a beautiful job reviving my pond once again. I have koi that are over 25 years old in my pond and Neil uses the utmost care to make sure they are safe while the pond is being cleaned out. He has a giant holding tank to keep the koi in while the pond is being cleaned. The age of my koi and their fragility is one of the reasons I wait so long to clean the pond out, but Neil knows about koi needs, and how to treat the water and koi during and after the pond work. His aesthetic is perfect, and he leaves the pond looking like new again. Ponds like mine should be cleaned out more frequently than I have done, so Neil had a big challenge to fix my pond up. I trust him completely and am so happy about how the pond works and looks now. I would highly recommend Neil for anyone who needs to revive their pond or needs advice and suggestions about their pond! read more

If I could give 10 stars for Neil (pond revival), I'd gladly do so. For almost a year I had been trying to find some one to fix my water feature. My very able and persistent handyman tried to figure out why the fountains quit working despite a new pump and he couldn't. Then I brought in professionals who work for a pool repair company and they couldn't figure it out either. Then my husband and daughter poked around trying to figure out the problem. No luck! While scratching my head not knowing what to do next, I came upon some glowing reviews on Yelp about Neil. He initially couldn't figure it out either. But he just wouldn't give up. He kept going until he found out the problem and fixed it. Now we have our lovely water feature again. His prices are fair. He always called to give me a heads up when he was on his way to my home. On top of being a consummate professional, Neil is also a throughly nice guy! We were very lucky to have found him! read more

Neil Bobo of Pond Revival did a super job on our very overgrown and mucky pond last year. Now it looks great! He planted some lovely water plants, including a beautiful cerise water lily, which is now blooming. I highly recommend his services! read more

Neil was very helpful and professional. Even though my fountain is vintage and in terrible shape, he understood my commitment to keep it running and beautiful for another 90 years. He also provided me with contact information for other vendors that could help me. All in all, a great experience talking to Neil! read more

Pond Revival - My beloved fountain. - Landscaping Near Me

We recommend Pond Revival without reservation. Our pond had fallen to neglect over the last few years, but when I tried to find someone to come and resuscitate it, the pond specialists I contacted all told me they only put in new ponds. Then fortunately, I found Neil at Pond Revival. Our pond is now looking terrific again and ready for new fish. What impresses us most about Neil is not only his knowledge, but his passion for his work...as well as his love of all the plants and critters ( frogs, fish, dragon flies, water striders, etc) that live in ponds. He is a true naturalist. It's just wonderful to be able to enjoy our pond again and know that if anything comes up, Neil will have the answer. read more

Don't let his name fool you. This guy (Neil Bobo) is not a clown. He is a pond/fountain revivalist. Our fountain became a trickle of water. No sound or zen energy. We needed professional help. So thankful my H20 pal came to the rescue! We were informed about pond/fountain maintenance. Also a secret tip on how to arrange rocks for more of that zen water sound. Who Knew? Neil does! Now it's all good in the hood! read more

Neil at Pond Revival has been very quick to respond and has provided excellent care for the pond in our Berkeley garden. I have worked with other pond contractors, so I have a basis for comparison. He offers clear information, charges fairly, and does high quality work. I also appreciate how pleasant he is to deal with. Highest marks! Lynne read more

Neil helped us redo our pond. I had really large koi that were over whelming. The pond was not fun anymore. The ecology of the pond was also an issue that Neil helped us with as well. We got rid of all the large fish and replaced them with small butterfly goldfish. He also installed rock which created a little hiding place for the fish to go under. Our pond is much more of a joy now. I highly recommend Neil he has a lot of helpful information and is compassionate in what he does. read more

Pond Revival is by far the most wonderful pond service we have ever had the chance to hire for our pond needs. Neil is an absolute master at what he does. His knowledge is extremely extensive and the care/attention he puts into his craft is well noticed and unparallel in the pond field. We have gone through many providers in the past and no one comes even close to the amount of attention given, passion and connection. We have ponds, waterfall features and fountains in multiple properties and Pond Revival has created/maintained them all to perfection. Their attention to detail, care for nature and overall consciousness of creating beautiful natural environments is at top level in this industry. Look no further, I promise you wont regret it. Thank you Pond Revival and thank you Neil for all that you do. read more

Neil is our hero today! We love our water feature, but for the last year it has been more and more problematic-- water losses coming faster and faster. We shut it down a month ago and went looking for help. We found Neil and he reviewed pictures, talked with us and scheduled an initial visit. He sowed up this morning on time and quickly was able to find two problems. He repaired the waterfalls right on the spot and had it working better than new all in under two hours. Previously, our experience in getting work done on the water feature was truly not good. So extra kudos to Neil. Oh, Neil's rates are really reasonable ... less than half of what we expected. Thanks for supporting us Neil - great service always makes us happy, but right now Wow! read more

Finding someone to fix an outdoor stone fountain built by someone else is almost impossible. But my prayers were answered when I met Neil from Pond Revival. He was prompt in his responding to my request to set an appointment to see our fountain. He was prompt in his arrival, polite, knew what he was doing and got the fountain working again within a reasonable cost. He sincerely wanted to do a good job and he did. I have no hesitation to recommend him. I am a real person who lives in Montclair and hope Neil gets continued business. He deserves it. Thanks Neil. read more

We hired Neil to provide some TLC to an old pond that came with our house. He cleaned the entire pond, foamed in cracks on our water feature, installed an automatic filler, resituated rocks for aesthetics and to make hiding spots for fish, and added plants. The ponds looks great, and Neil is very knowledgable, passionate, thoughtful and honest -- in particular, I really appreciate his environmentally conscious approach. We like Neil's work enough that we hired him to provide periodic maintenance. read more

Finding someone in Marin County who not only would revitalize a backyard pond, but also be a very caring and honest individual, turned out to be quite the challenge. After searching the internet for a very long time, I came upon Neil Bobo and his company, Pond Revival. Honestly, I feel so fortunate to have happened upon Neil and his website. He was straightforward, understood what I wanted to have done and provided a quote that was extremely fair. Neil spent additional time driving around the Bay Area, looking for a part that would get my secondary pond pump operational. Over and beyond!! I now, once again, have a beautiful and clean pond, with some very happy fish swimming around. You don't know me personally, but I will share that I don't post to Yelp very often (probably should). I believe that your experience working with Neil will be exceptional. I am very much looking forward to seeing him again in the spring of 2024. read more

Neil exceeded my expectations ! Not only did he revive my pond but he improved upon it. He rearranged my falling rocks, added to them, secured them with a hardening foam that holds the rocks in place , readjusted my liner to avoid future leaks , thoroughly cleaned and conditioned the water. He was a consummate professional. Visited my site, gave me an estimate , scheduled the work promptly and arrived on schedule. That day was one of those rare 90+ degree days in Oakland. But he kept at it in the bright sun and got the job done. His estimate also came in at MUCH LESS than the competitor that also priced the work. His estimate gave a very detailed explanation of the services he would perform through which I received a great education about keeping my pond functioning well. Several other pond repairmen didn't even bother to respond. Neil is a gem ! read more

Neal has serviced and maintained my water feature for over 5 years. We recently hired Neil to 'revive' our rundown pond and he killed it. He diligently checked our whole system and fine-tuned our set up so it feels clean and runs great. He also reset our landscaping around our water feature which was a total bonus and looked fantastic upon completion. I've been looking for someone to help with maintenance with our pond for years. Neal is fantastic!!

Work with Neil, you won't regret it! I feel so fortunate to have found Neil and Pond Revival for our waterfall water feature in the backyard. I moved into the house many years ago and quickly needed help with keeping the water feature clean. Neil is super responsive, very knowledgeable and so helpful with other needs related to the pump and setup. I highly recommend his services! read more

When I took occupancy on my new home in Berkeley, I was pretty nervous about the fact that there was a big water feature in the yard. It's a three level pond system with a dock at one end that houses two pumps. In addition, there were extra pumps installed on the side of the house that drew water into a complex filtration system (presumably in order to keep the water crystal clear). To make matters worse, it was clear that the pond was leaking somewhere, and 3 of the 4 pumps were not working. One visit from Neil at Pond Revival was all it took to give me confidence that we could simplify and restore the system into a living ecosystem. The first few visits were comprised mostly of leak fixing and investigation. However, Neil saved me a few thousand bucks by salvaging two of the 3 broken pumps (it turned out they were just clogged, not broken, which I never would have known). In addition, he was able to locate and fix several leaks, while teaching me in the process how to find them. It took a few more visits (sometimes with Neil, sometimes with one of his colleagues), but at this point my pond is alive and well. The redundant pumps and equipment on the side of the house are scheduled to be removed, as they were overly complex and unnecessary. Furthermore, the pumps and skimmers under the dock are functioning again. Neil rebuild the pond walls with boulders and planted some beautiful plants along the way. He even told me which plants in my yard were invasive so that I could make the decision to keep or remove them. Today, he's scheduled to bring by some fish. To be honest, it's hard to believe it's the same pond! Overall, I can't recommend Pond Revival highly enough. Neil truly works from the heart, is completely honest and fair, and is absolutely gifted with water features. He has deep knowledge of his craft, and should be on speed-dial for anyone with a pond or water feature. read more

I have had a pond at my home for nearly 20 years and it was desperately in need of help. The job was too much for me: the rock waterfall was in a state of disrepair, the pond plants had overgrown all over, a lot of rocks that had been along the outside of the pond had fallen in the pond over time, taking up a lot of room, there was too much algae on the rocks. My koi were healthy, but I didn't know what to do about the looks of the pond. I saw Pond Revival's sign in my neighborhood and called them up. Neil came right away and had lots of ideas about what to do. Now my pond is wonderful again, maybe the best it has ever looked! I was worried about whether the work would injure my koi, but Neil reassured me that he knew what to do. The koi were never stressed during the entire week Neil worked on the pond. He picked out all sorts of delicate, pretty pond plants and artfully placed them around the pond, and also landscaped around the outside. For me the best part of Pond Revival's work (aside from keeping the koi happy and safe) is how natural the pond looks. I couldn't be any more pleased! read more

Pond Revival - My pond, revived! - Landscaping Near Me

Neil did a terrific job repairing the pump on our large pondless waterfall, and giving it a good spring clean to remove a bunch of bark that was clogging our pump. He came out just to give us a quote and ended up doing the work on the spot since it didn't take too long - very efficient! By the way, before I called Pond Revival, we had an outrageous spring cleaning quote from another company for work that apparently didn't even need to be done, since Neil said we have such a simple system. I am really glad we called Neil because we learned a lot about our system and saved over $1,000. Anytime we need service in the future, we will be calling Neil at Pond Revival! read more

I have used Neil Bobo's services for many years now. My most precious item at my entire home are two ponds in my yard. Pond Revival has beautified both of them over time, kept them running, which fills my yard with both breath-taking visual and auditory beauty. I would not trust my ponds to anyone else. Highly recommended! Neil has been out twice now to maintain our fountain. He's easy to communicate with, his rates are reasonable, and he's a nice guy to boot! He took care to be gentle with the plants around the fountain. We'll be calling him again the next time things need a tune-up. read more

Wish I had had a similar experience to everyone else. I hired Neil to service my fountains monthly, and he was really flaky. He would only show up after I would call or text him to remind him that he was overdue. He left me totally stranded right before Christmas and then blamed me for not telling him I was having a people over, even though he was weeks overdue. He does good work when he shows up, but I'm moving on to someone that I can count on. read more
